wow, I didn't know there were so many nutcases around who believe in this stuff. The posts prior to mine are a very disturbing reminder of the danger of irrationality. This type of person keeps conartists like Sylvia Browne and Benny Hinn in business. Thanks a lot you credulous simpletons.
Thats a scared person talking. " I don't want to know, I don't want to know, I don't want to know". while he closes his eyes and holds his hands over his ears.
Scared or ignorant-not really sure which.
I thought that evil existed only within the nature of mankind until, an unusual set of circumstances occurred in my home. The prescence of evil was so tangible and so weak-need and fearfully terrible that I had trouble staying on my feet. Had my children not been prescent I would still be running twenty years later. My husband was unaware however, a friend called in unexpectedly and said 'what is that'.......had I not had that unexpected validation of what I was experiencing I'd believe I was nuts.
some of us believers were just born with special sences nonbelievers need to open there mind and eyes
exorcisms? ghosts? judgment day? yeah, this why we are able to wage wars in foreign countries and let our own fall apart. people are so easily amused and deprived that they will not only accept but cling t o these false ideas for the sole purpose of believing in something.
just keep telling yourselves that god will loveyou, that your dead pgrandparents are watching over you, in th meantime bush will rob your children of an education and take you for all your worth.
I mean c'mon you guys, how gullible are you? in todays world where priests rape kids, where police murder and the people at churches talk trash about the people not at church, where's the love? Lets all just pretend that it will be okay in the afterlife. in the meantime just cause someone tells us that there are chemicals in our heads that affect behavior will believe that thats why we see ghosts.
If your curiouis, go get educated and you'll realize that most people are simply tryin to take advantage of others and the church or state offcials are included. Live life deluded if you want, I'm not checking on this anymore. Better stuff to do than read a bunch of nonsense about ghosts and gods....it likes we're back in greek times....
Well, to live life believing there is a God just to find out there's not, you've lost nothing.BUT, to live life as a non-believer and find out you were wrong, well, you've lost EVERYTHING. Eternity is an awful long time. Think about it
but i guess not everyone is trained in neurology, not everyone understands what perception is, not everyone wants to know the truth, sometimes ignorance really is bliss.
bean59 just explained what science does. Ask questions, look for answers. Where ever and what ever they are. Science answers one question and that usually opens the door to a dozen more questions. Religion says we don't need all the answers, have faith. Science looks for answers, and finds questions. Neither will ever have all the answers. Again, that's the beauty of the universe we live in. We get to keep asking!
Too all the none believers. It is apparent that you never experienced anything supernatural. You all need to look at what life is all about. Stop watching the garbage you call entertainment and stop reading your gossip. Look at the big picture! What are we? Where did we come from? When did life begin? What is out there in space? What is space? What is beyond our imagination? When anyone of you none believers can answer anyone of those questions, then can you say you know it all.
One word: Metaphysics
It's always hilarious to hear what people believe about "the after life" when they've never even SEEN the other side and wouldn't know JACK about it...for instance, psychics and paranormal investigators...Christ, on the other hand, did come from "the other side" and is in fact THE OWNER of it. And because He's the one and only witness who has ever actually been there, maybe we ought to listen to Him when He speaks. In Luke Chapter 16 He clearly stated that once we die, we go to one of two places. And once we go there, we are not allowed to "astro travel" back and forth, not even to pay your relatives one last visit, or to "watch over them". So, what are all these ghosts and apparitions that people are seeing all over the world? Christ and the Prophets of the Bible clearly identified them as Satan, the devil. Because his origins come from Eternity, Satan has limited information on EVERYONE ALIVE. And that means he has the ability to take on the likeness and apparition of dead people. It wasn't your Aunt Martha that showed up at your house in the middle of the night...it was a demon who took on her likeness. Oh, and just so you know, demons do not have to obey to "Catholic Priests". When you call on priests to "cleanse your house" you're taking your life into your own hands because you have NO CLUE what dark and scary habits they get into when no one's looking behind closed doors (know what I mean?). And that's why demons usually stomp on those priests and send them packing. If you have demon activity in your house, run to your nearest non-denominational, Bible-teaching church and get help from them. And isn't it funny, how many times these ghosts start as "little children"...but before too long they scratch you to shreds and almost destroy your house. This should serve as a warning to you...DO NOT ROMANTICIZE these creatures as former living beings. They are nothing of the sort. You need to deal with them for what they are. Demons from hell. If anyone needs help, contact me at skelly007@juno.com.
If you are oppressed or possesed by a demon or demons, you need to go to a Catholic Priest, who will initially help you and if needed he will refer you to an exoricist priest assigned by the Bishop of your particular Diocese. The Catholic Church was instituted by Jesus and commissioned by Him, and has been around for 2000 years. Since the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus, it alone has the authority given by Christ to expel demons. While Protestant "Bible" churches may help in some cases by invoking the holy name of Jesus in prayer, they lack the Saramental authority of the Catholic excorcist priests who work under the commission and authority of a Bishop, the successors of the Apostles.
It seems to me that EVERYTHING is just speculation and because we are human, we have to have a reason for the smallest of details. Things that we consider fact are, with out a doubt, things that make the most logical sense. Faith is a fine invention, just as the definition of theory was created, so was faith. When we are children, we believe that our parents can do anything. If there is a god, I don't think that he would have 4 year old girls hit by cars, or disease. If he really is there, then isn't it just possible enough, that we believe he is not nearly as omnipotent as we believe he is?
Death is viewed differently from God's perspective than from ours - "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints". You're troubled by the deaths of small children and others, but perhaps this illustration will help: A baby in the womb wants to remain in the womb, its comfort zone, and the baby experiences trauma when the time comes to be born. But we, who know that it is better to experience life on earth than to remain in the womb, wait with eager expectation and joy as that baby is being born. So it is with death. To us death is traumatic, and we want to linger here, but God understands that it is better to go home to him, that life there is better than life here. So in the heavenly realm is a joyous awaiting for us to leave this painful and limiting world and be "born" to our eternal life with riches and joys we can't even imagine. Death is not a fearful thing, though for a while we miss the ones who travel on before us, but it is a birthing process. God is the giver of life, beloved, and it is his to determine when and how we go home, depending on the purposes he has for us. Pain is forevermore wiped away for those little girls, and what riches await them and all who have had the privilege of experiencing and overcoming life's pains.
Death is seen differently from God's perspective than ours - "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints". Just like a baby in the womb panics when coming out, but we wait eagerly and joyously for the birth, knowing that life on earth is better than life in the womb, so in the heavenly realm there is a celebration and joyous awaiting when we pass from this not-so-great world into that great place. God is the giver of life and the one who decides when it's time to go home to him. Pain exists here, but not in God's presence on the other side of things. The families of those little girls grieve, the pain is theirs and it will serve a purpose, but those little girls or anyone else who he takes home early are not the ones to feel sorry for. Death is not a fearful thing, beloved, it is a birthing process.
This article doesn't explain half of paranormal evidence. It only explains the possibility that apparitions aren't real, it doesn't explain EVP's or measuring electromagnetic fields or filmed proof of the paranormal. It would be difficult to prove that everyone who has experienced paranormal activity was not always a believer in it, they often are skeptics or they don't believe in the paranormal at all. I feel like whoever wrote this did not educate themselves enough about paranormal research or investigation because theyre not disproving the evidence that is truly significant.

LIght you see on pictures could be reflections off other objects or dust particles. Orbs are believed to be spirits or angels. They are moslty balls off energy. It is believed that the mood of the energy is depicted by the color of the orb. They can be seen by the naked eye. Some the size of a marble and can be as large as a softball. A full body apparition or evp is better evidence of a spirit. It is ok to be skeptic about something you may not have experienced before in your life. BUt when you have your own experience that will soon change. There are some people ( atheists ) in the world who are tormented constantly by evil spirits and can't get help. And its because of there religion. Because their religion or lack of faith tells them that these evil forces do not exist. I am not here to preach and be a bible thumper but almost in every religion that I have come across has a god or creator. Wether it be indians or anything else. And it is faith in their god that will overcome evil.
My thinking about why things happen to the innocents is that God set the world in motion and is letting it play itself out without much interference. That way we have choices, we are not predestined. Randomness is part of the equation. Why do innocent passengers die in car wrecks? God's plan allows for some random events that may be devastating, but in the long run fit the overall scheme. Much of demonic possession in the past has been explained as schizophrenia or other mental illnesses. The part that makes life interesting is that there are always those happenings that are not explained. That way we have something to discuss and continue investigating. I love the possibility of ghosts, bigfoot and extraterrestrials. Doesn't make them exist, (or not exist)but it sure is interesting to go looking for answers!

My boyfriends deceased mother kept telling me Claire. After 3 days I asked Doug if there was a Claire in this mothers life. Yes, it was her sister-in-law. I knew it had to do with a ring I was given by Doug and proved my point and his mom's regarding Claire as the ring indicates 4 children and only Claire had four. I am an agnostic and a recovering Catholic but I find it most strange other people do not have the same ability as this is one of many messages passed on using me as the sender. Phyllis M. Mazzarella
Spirits are definitely among us but can only be visualized in our own ways and by the severity of our beliefs. Those who have been given a close call to death by accident for a brief moment have reported life after our temporary purpose here on earth. The belief is in the eyes of the beholder. Some do not believe certain religions but guarantee prosperity for eternity. Because we have turned into individuality in life, those who do not believe will suffer long term consequences. Ghosts may have been created to prove a point for an extreme major event that has taken place causing much distruction and cannot rest until it accomplishes closure no matter what is at stake. The statement "will turn over in my grave if someone hurt my family" could definitely be true in the sense of struggle for power....in soul over body when the result has already been death.
A great treatment of this subject is covered by Dr. Carl Sagan in his book, "Demon Haunted World".
Those who have encountered God, who have accepted him as their Savior, who have his Holy Spirit living within them, will know the truth that comes from God himself. Our physical world is a small aspect of all that exists. Jesus came into this physical world as God in the flesh to reconcile those of us here to himself. Those who invite God's transforming power into their lives need not be limited by the physical realm, for the power of his Spirit is ready and willing to work within and through us, if we will only ask him for more of his Spirit. Yes, the devil and his demons / evil spirits are at work in the world, but greater is the One who lives within the believer, the Holy Spirit himself, than is the devil within the world. If you're living apart from the living God, then you have reason to fear the evil spirits, and I urge you in Christ's love to be at last reconciled to the One who waits ever patiently and ever lovingly for you. If you have been sanctified by Jesus' blood, then peace is yours, beloved, and you need not fear the spirits, no matter how they manifest themselves.
