The Ghosts We Think We See

Ah I always believed in ghosts and demons. Because when you do an exorcism, which one of my mom's nun's saw being performed, you use the cross, holy water, the bible...and they go away.

I find it hard to categorize the way the human mind works. Experiences we go through have an impact on us both physically and mentally. These descrepencies may enable one to "see" or "perceive" out-of-this-world occurences. Who really has the authority, nevertheless, audacity to proclaim his or her beliefs are the only correct ones floating around? It is up for each independent person to decide whether they believe in the supernatural.

Someone who says they believe in God, Satan, and angels, but say they don't believe in spirits or ghosts are hypocrites!!! Open your minds, people. I have witnessed for myself that spirits do exist. It doesn't mean that I'm "dissatisfied with reality and must invent supernatural images and sounds and ideas to compensate". I saw my first spirit when I was only about 10 years old. How dissatisfied with reality could a 10 year old be? Give me a break!!! Just because one believes in the supernatural does not mean they're lazy. It means that the spirits know that non-believers (close minded people) are not worth their energy and go to the ones that believe
Also, has anyone heard of proof reading, or do none of you know how to spell and use correct punctuation?

Oh, My! And here is where the problem of non acceptance of others ideas plays a role and creates hostility, war and murder. My goodness! Saying *believing in ghosts is pathetic* is the same as you being attacked for your own beliefs, swedie89. Whether one believes in ghosts or not is not the point of this article, really. It's more a belief in an energy that is emitted from each life that exists in this world, including the worlds itself.
To limit ones self to judging others for thinking on a more expansive level than yourself is pathetic, to quote your own word used in your comment. Granted, we are all physical beings, and well, we are all striving for physical things, as well as bettering ourselves to be better able to handle the *reality* that comes our way. Each persons way of handling their own reality is what keeps them alive and able to strive for more. Perhaps my reality is different from yours, and from reading your post, I believe it is. I accept that, and I do not judge your reality, nor anyone else's. Believing in Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, etc., could also be deemed pathetic and if you have children, keep it in mind. When you judge others for believing in something that does not exist, do not teach your own children, or anyone else's for that matter, to believe in something that may bring them joy, yet does not exist. Either do it, or don't.

I believe the article also points out the power of the mind in that what you believe, you conceive. When one can let go of the physical and quit striving to have more, more, more.. money, cars, jewelry, then one can see what is truly there to see. It's in the perception of the believer.

One more thing to think about: How can ANYONE have the true answer for everyone? Do we all like caramel covered strawberries? nope. Some people will DIE if they eat the strawberry, so how can you say YOUR reality or religion is what is best for any other person? In my opinion, there is too much *My idea is right and you are wrong* going on in the world. If the great inventors of our time had listened to others like this, we would have nothing. I know I am farting in the wind, for people are closed minded and stuck in their little boxes of safety. It's up to each of us to stay there, or to break out of the mold and think expansively.

To swedie89 and/or kbrag: I think you will find that having an open mind is the key to a happy life...reality isn't a world you create but instead a world you take in and enjoy. No belief is pathetic, as humans have yet to disprove spirits you cannot know that they do not exist. Maybe if you lived a happier life you would not feel it needed to bring others beliefs down. You do not believe? I do not care, to each person their own...I am simply saying you may want to take a step back and then proceed forward with an open outlook on life???.you may be surprised at what you find.

it is funny to me how someone can be so dogmatic about something like satan and afterlife. he knows for a fact that there is a being called satan, but cannot for one second believe that it is possible for ones spirit to remain on earth. because that would be ridiculous. ridiculous is that there is a being that will torture you for an eternity for making a few bad decisions.

everything gives off energy such as ghosts. Have u ever feel a strange presents, apart from the living,that makes ur blood crawl and hairs stands on ends? if u say ghosts don't exist, then explain that feeling!

Comment: I lived in an aprtment in Fresno Ca. 13 years ago and when I moved in every so often I got an erie feeling but didnt think much more about it. While unpacking (alone) it felt as it the back tail of my t-shirt was pulled, I even turn around twice, wondering, "could it of gotten snagged on something", I let that go as well. 2 months later down by the pool, 2 of my neighbors approched me that I did not know and asked me how I liked living in that apt. I said it was ok, they then told me that the gal before me moved out because her 4 year old daughter was always caught playing under the table with this child ghost. I got chills, that small child ghost was trying to get my attention by pulling on my shirt tail. I also woke up on two seperate occasions thinking there was an animal to the side of my bed. I have had my Ghost experience!!

I belive in a living person (or animal) being able to see a spirit. When listening to a tape recording of paranormal activity, my dog and cat were mesmerized. Neither one reacts to anything on t.v. or the radio so I know that there is something to children and animals who haven't been taught differently can see these spirits. I can speak from personal experince also. In 1995, I had a car accident that was so bad they didn't think I would live because of my head trauma. I told my parents and grandmother that I saw my grandfather and he was as real as I'm standing here today. He told me "You're not done yet", that's all he said and I'll never forget that.

Brain shmain??? You guys talk of dopamine and brain function, spirituality and life after death as if you know something. Life is fluid, our experiences are our perceptions of reality and it's ever changing. To cling to any one view, to proclaim whole truth over someone else's views is ridiculous.
Sure anatomy dictates physiology, form and function but most people are too caught up in their own views to see anything beyond their own small circle..

So Much Deception here. So Much Deception. When are people going to wake up? When are people going to remove the scales from their eye lids? Maybe they are afraid to because deep down they know and they disregard its a lie do to denial of scare. One day my friends, One day you all will come to your senses and realize your deception was all wasted and then you'll realize your once deep down knowing was true after all.
