Are Miracles Real?

Indian guru Sri Chinmoy was able to lift airplanes and elephants and thousands of people. That's why I believe faith without miracles is empty.

The man can perform miracles and he chooses to perform a carnival trick? I seriously can't believe this passes as an example of a higher power. The 7000lbs one arm lift would certainly be a world record now wouldn't it? Please tell me that's not all there is. GoBiggy, improbability is not a miracle. When all outcomes are statistically improbable but one has to occur and probably wouldn't occur again, it doesn't make it the workings of the magic man in the sky.

Miracles are real. The things that happen in the world around us are examples of what I would like to call everyday miracles. Where do these miracles come from? These miracles come from a higher being, who we address as God. Now was God working through Sri Chinmoy when the man would lift 7,000 lbs? We cannot know for sure, but what we can conclude is that miracles do exist. The definition for miracle from the New Webster Library of Universal Knowledge dictionary is ??? a sensible deviation from the known laws of nature, held to be wrought by a supernatural being; a supernatural event.??? The definition for a miracle includes the belief that there is a higher being involved.
The interesting thing about miracles is that even if you do not believe in them, they still occur. I am not one who believes in the theory of evolution, but for those that do, they would still have to accept the fact that the world was made by a miracle. If the big bang theory really did take place, would that not be a miracle?
So do miracles exist, the answer is most definitely yes. So if our belief in miracles is right, we would have to agree that there is a higher power at work, whatever it may be.
