Comment: I have an agreeable laugh... "stupidity" makes excellent and valid points... that said, nixxynoxxy, I agree with you and the article too. It is certainly positive to reduce our impact on the environment and live more sustainable lives. Yes, all of us "little" people using "little" energy individually seems so small in relation to the "big guys" who are often hypecrytical... even so, one person does make a difference!

Comment: Stupidity- this article simply suggests how one can help the environment this holiday season by switching it up. it's by no means an attack on you and how you celebrate your Christmas. I hope some day soon there will be more sporting events during the day and wind and solar power every where, but the suggestions in this article are just a start. Lighten up, be happy, be Green.

Comment: Believe me I have a comment on this. You want everyone to turn down the lights and be green. Then I suggest you tell all those sporting events to not play their games under the lights and instead play them during the day. I suggest you tell all those hollywood types who live in all the extravagant homes to downsize. I suggest you suggest that all businesses be closed on Sunday and open only on Friday and Saturday nights like it use to be.I suggest you close all box seating with all the big tvs and refrigerators and heating and air conditioning in them and let all those people sit in the stands during the games that will be played in the daylight. You tell everyone to change to green. I fell I am already doing my part. Let those who use most of the energy start doing their part. Tell Al Gore to travel on a commercial jet. Tell Ted Kennedy to let wind power happen in Massachusettes. O my but it will obstruct his view. Poor Ted. I am so sick amd tired of hearing this garbage. No I wont have led lights till everyone else does their share. I already get a live tree. It wouldn"t be Christmas without one. And by the way are you one of those who wants to ban Christmas. Everyone else is

Comment: Oh, and be sure to give fewer gifts. Consider one modest, classic, and useful gift for those important to you. Don't feel you have to "be fair" or "keep things even" for an extensive list of acquaintances. Modesty is a basic virtue of the traditional Christmas. Skip using your credit card as if it were taking steroids. Remember Charlie Brown's gang at Christmas. That's the idea.
