"...frickin' moronic idiot." If you were as smart as I was, you would know that its impossible to be both a moron and an idiot, as the two are completely different classifications of intelligence. Rant on, ignoramus.

  • Posted By: ephorus @ 11/01/2007 7:30:46 PM

Why, so I can be eternally ignorantly blissful? Yeah, I'm a moron. Don't jump to conclusions.

To find answers to questions science CANNOT answer, one must expand the boundaries of said framework.

Grow up? Ok. So what do you think we should do about it? Teach me.

ephorus, you're about as intelligent as your wacko religious friends and relatives. You mistake logical thought with snappy lines such as the one you used, "if you never allow yourself to have faith in something you can't see, then you'll never see anything worthy of having faith in", wow, very intelligent and proves absolutely zilch. It's idiotic lines like that one that your wacko leaders use when preaching to the choir, the choir inevitably yells, "yeah, that's true", in unison. By the way which negativity is it that you are claiming is being, "rammed down the throats", of you and your religious nut associates? Is it global warming that you're referring to? If so I guess you'd prefer your scientists not inform you about things that are negative??? I guess you'd rather have the scientific community only publish information that is cheery and makes us all happy?

The sad thing about ignorant people like you is that you take something like a wonderful scientific discovery in Italy and say something stupid about it like, "Speaking of boats that no one could see....", which of the boats were invisible you fricking moronic idiot? They weren't invisible they were merely out of sight. Even a person as dimwitted as yourself can surely see the difference.

Finally, it is the religious wacko whose mind is closed. Closed and locked tight. This person is unable to look at facts and think about them in a logical and rational way. He or she can look at a question like how much does two plus two equal and answer, "I believe it equals 5". When a person attempts to show them that it actually equals four they inevitable answer, "I believe it equals five." They are incapable of examining their beliefs in an intelligent and rational manner and should be kept as far from government and leadership positions as possble.

"Why must there be only one way to think, instead of many?"

    Thank you, J-Del!

    >>"Why must there be only one way to think, instead of many,,,, "

The point is, if one advocates Creationism, one is not thinking. Science does not tell one how to think, it merely provides a deductive, investigative, and logical framework for thought. Creationists, by battling science, are engaging in a war on thought itself.

Josh: Do you mean the example you are setting by hurling insults at people It is jerks like you who give message boards a bad name ....Grow up fool.

Oh NO ,Not the dreaded Manbearpig...Allah help us now that it has resurfaced...all hope is lost!!!

  • Posted By: JoshdrielPR @ 11/01/2007 7:18:05 PM

Wow vinciespop, that is so mature of you to think like that. You sound like a 5 year old saying why should we do it when they don't do it. So what if they don't do it. Set an example.

Erowin. It's not just closing down the trains. you have to think about the people who will lose wages if that happens, who is going to pay their bills?. Not to mention that people rely on those trains for daily transportation. How would you like it if they shut down the streets for months, maybe years at a time, so they could dig something up... you wouldn't be able to go very far... your life would be disrupted. So yes, it is JUST as important. and the key is finding a balance... Its not just one or the other. It's to find a way to do both w/ the least amount of inconvienence for both parties.

  • Posted By: JoshdrielPR @ 11/01/2007 7:12:04 PM

Wow, that's a great thought. So what should we do vinciespop? Just keep polluting and f***ing the Planet because nother countries don't want to do anything. That is so mature.

Comment: In the eastern area of the Mediterranian where these ships were found several devistating volcanic eruptions occured, one so huge on a island just south of Greece the explosion was seen in Egypt. So I suppose there were several Tsunami's reach Pisa, to match the periods when volcanos about the Mediterranian erupted. But there is certain to be a lot of civilization buried under the mud in 2012, to dig up later, after another Ice Age. But preserving the relics from the ancient world should mean bunkering them in for a Super Volcanic disaster, so they may survive global warming, for the next time the Earth blows its top.

Also Science, although it is extremely useful, has it's drawbacks too, it has it's unanswered questions the same as religion. And you know, wanting to teach two types of creation, there is nothing wrong about that...I learned about both, and definitely don't consider myself a "religious wacko"... Why must there be only one way to think, instead of many,,,,

  • Posted By: Erowin @ 11/01/2007 7:07:24 PM

Im only 14, but a huge Archeology fan. It's sad they can'tr do whatever it takes to get the boats out.... People just don't respect archeology much, closing the trains for a week or so is not as important as these ancient treasures.

  • Posted By: ephorus @ 11/01/2007 7:06:14 PM

How ironic that the "logical" are ramming negativity down the throats of "wackos." Shouldn't your superior intellect tell you not to waste your time on the proletariat? (Don't bother stopping to look that up.)
If your mind was as open as your mouth is, you probably wouldn't be "constantly angered and disappointed."
BTW, if you never allow yourself to have faith in something you can't see, then you'll never see anything worthy of having faith in. Speaking of boats that no one could see....

Liked the article on the find I hope they can use good judgement in discerning what is benificial to dig up and what is better left alone. Not everything has to be dug up to give us what we need.
