Oh Wow!! I would really love to see this site. HIstory is something to relish. I do believe that Planet Earth has entered a cycle of warming. But then it has been going through the cycles for millions of years. I refuse to panic and rush off madly in all directions based on the information from a man who does not always practice what he preaches. I think radicalism for whatever reason does a grave disservice to the thoughtful scientists working on the problem logical and systematically.

Good ,then it wasn't just me that wondered why B.C. is being referred to as British Columbia.

Oh wow! I would so love to see the site! I do believe that global warming is real. But I also think that we would do well to remember that Planet Earth has been through many cycles of warming and freezing. I refuse to panic and rush madly off in all directions based on info from a man who does not practice what he preaches.

What's really disturbing about the people who are in denial about global warming, in spite of the mountians of evidence in support of it, is that they are so willing to believe in things that have absolutelty zero evidence of support, like Iraqi WMD's, immaculate conceptions, a 5000 year old universe, etc.

This is so very cool. A collection of ancient shipwrecks spanning roughly a thousand years. I hope the Italians can find the funds to recover every scrap of every ship they've found. Such an incredible opportunity to learn more about our history.
And some people reading this only see an opportunity to assert their beliefs on the global warming issue. Pathetic!

Global Warming. You must either be completly ignorant or have not checked the facts and the consensus of the scientific community. It is really sad that we have so many people that believe that "Global Warming" is a fabrication. It is true. We don't know for sure what is to blame for "Global Warming"? Lets assume that it is just a stage in our planets history. Define what the effects might be, should be considered, then:
Shouldn't we prepare for the effects the warming of our planet might cause, if we know it is occuring? Tom

Why is Global Warming so hard to Fathom? Leave politics out of your answer.

Why is Global Warming so hard for people to fathom?

The article indicates there were no passenger ships 2,000 yrs ago used by the Romans. Is that correct?
What countries did the Romans trade with at the time these ships were used? Were the ships that were discovered, constructed well?

So, tell me... when did "B.C." in reference to a period of time, come to mean British Columbia??

Global warming is a big lie! This lie was invented by those who stand to profit from it the most such as Al Gore and friends. The earth has been going through many changes since its creation and it will continue to go through many more! I am hoping for the day that the concept of global warming will be put to rest along with silencing the mouths of those who worship at the alter of environmentalism!

so i shouldn't believe mr. gore when he says the debate is over?

  • Posted By: jdjohnsen @ 11/01/2007 5:14:26 PM

no of course not however the earth is an everchanging state. just like global warming the continents are always shifting, which also causes environmental changes. such as removal of water from some areas and even earth quakes. every one would love to believe that we are what causes all these changes however we know just from studying the earths surface over the centuries that we are not the only contributing factor to the changes taking place on the earth's surface. we could be considered the mosst significant one. however some will argue that the earth is just evolving as it did back in 5 b.c.
