When will people of all faiths realize that no party is above God's law. I always ask myself "What Would Jesus Do?" when haring issues proposed by our government, democratic, or republican. Each have morality issues. Liberal tend to want to think that they hold the key, while conservitives feel the same on their issues. When we all learn to be objective, and not judge our brothers and sisters, focus on our coommitments to Christ, and live as he did, following his teachings above all else, maybe we'll be able to move on from the trite,

Democrats are trying to 'learn the lingo', look and act like Christians. Nothing more than a wolf in sheep's clothing. What else is new.

Wow-the Rev. Williams is very wrong-you can't generalize truth. I'm a Democrat and a Catholic and know Bush's economic policy destroys family values, increases poverty, and promotes abortion when people become economically and socially desperate. He has turn plowshares into swords and wasted lives instead of promoting life and peace. If the Dems on Capital Hill are so bad, how come they are trying to increase insurance coverage for the most vulnerable-our kids while George wearing his false cloak of fundamentalism, wants to spend on war that no one has a solution. Because religion is so personal and private and individual, our Founding Fathers were at least smart enough to know it is best left up to the individual and not the state to promote or not one's faith. It is a form of freedom-I choose to believe in Christ and hope my actions follow. I don't buy W's political Christianity no more than I'm a fan of Pontius Pilate or Judas for playing the game. There is more oil in our Prez than honor, more Wall Street than wisdom.

If the Democrats are for religious people, then they need to stop the anti-God attitude and actions that is currently going around. The Democratic Party is actually more in favor of the Secular-Progressives who are intent in removing any vestige of religion in the public forum contrary to the Constitutuion. Furthermore, these same Democrats are for government control of everything from before birth to after death (Death Taxes) including everything in between. Their concept of good government is total government control NOT less. Just look at what Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Tax-Evader(?) Harry Reed are doing in Congress right now. It is ridiculous. The lack of true ethical reform in the Capitol is truly amazing. The media is equally at fault. Thus, the actual religion of the Democratic Party is "NO RELIGION PERIOD."

The faith community has been ignored too long by the Democratic Party. The Party needs them and they need the kind of backup for constructive action that is the best trait of the faith community. The Democrats can work toward the health insurance, support for the poor, education, etc. that are also family values.
