let???s see men have been controlling politically for a long time and they have totally sucked, I think a women in charge will get things done and any male egos should be set aside because if there against women raising to the challenge, we all know you have a complex.

rcurtis: we already have the male version of Judge Judy running the country. It's not working out well.

The double-standard in American politics is still alive and well. How is it that if Hillary has Bill campaigning for her, she's "using him as a crutch," but when a male candidate has their spouse or celebrity friend speak on their behalf (Elizabeth Edwards, Oprah, Chuck Norris, etc.), it is regarded as "support." Even in 1992, when the roles were reversed, and Bill was the candidate, Hillary was all over the country campaigning for him, and no one thought that was strange; she was just being a good political wife. In one breath, the pundits and the media are criticizing Hillary for being "cold" and appearing "insincere." However, when she has a brief moment of obviously sincere emotion explaining how much this campaign means to her personally, she is degraded for being a "weak woman." She got a little bit choked up; it isn't as if she broke down weeping and wailing. Have we never seen a male candidate for office become choked up or emotional over a topic? I think that we have. Hillary would be taking leave of her senses if she didn't employ Bill to stump for her. If a candidate, any candidate, doesn't take advantage of the resources at his/her disposal, to get their message out to as many voters as possible, then I don't believe they are trying hard enough.

You don't have to vote Republican or Democrat. It's to bad Judge Judy doesn't run for office! She would be the kind of straight forward leadership our country needs.

You dont have to vote Republican or Democrat, there are other party's .

I am a woman who has voted as a Democrat for all of my voting life. While I would love to see a new face in the White House either a woman or person of color, I am still looking for substance while choosing a canidate. Initially, I found all three canidates as viable picks for my choice as president. However, as I have been following and reading the news I must say I am quite disappointed at how "The Clintons" are choosing to distort and mislead Obama's quotes and past situations. During the debate I saw Hillary, focusing on twisting Obama's record rather than staying on issues I as an American find important. "The Clintons" tag teaming each other to go after Obama has really had a reverse effect on my perception of who I'm going to vote for. The way "The Clintons" are running their campaign ( I say Clinton's because it is very apparent Hillary has Bill as her cruch, "Can't leave home without him") has turned me so off, that if she does win the Democratic primary I'm going to switch my status to Republican (if I can in my state by that time) or just not vote for her at all. And believe me, I really do not want to see another Reuplican in office for four more years. - LinLin (MS_LinLin@Hotmail.com)

THANK YOU... for the opportunity of expressing our feelings nation wide. I am american citizen by naturalizacion and very concern about the futures of this great nation were I live and have my family. I have served in every social and auxiliary armed forces I have been able to serve due to my age. I am a proud parent of a son serving at this moment ( Jan. 23rd. 2007 ) in THE UNITED STATES NAVY as an aviation flight engineer wich makes feel he also is doing something to preserve and defend this country. I have no bad feelings to any race ( I am spanish decend ) black, white, yellow, you name it nor to any religios believe because they all are based in faith., but I do have a big problem when someone is going to lead my country, my goverment , my civil rights and is going to represent internationaly THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA when this persons does not show personaly any values and " PATRIOTISM " of his own country as Mr. Obama does. It is my strong beleive who ever leads and represents its people, have to show his pride for his country, his people, his flag and the simbols of the country he represents. I HAVE NOT SEEN those valuable feling in Mr. Obama every time he has spoken during his race for the presidency of this great Nation. I hope people will use common sence during this elections and elect a person that will really feel and defend our history....our values and our NATION. GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Nvs9940 are you a racist or just that stupid??? Every candidate on the field on both sides has some internet conspiracy against them. Your belief that Obama is a radical muslim is founded on fears that a black man will become president of the United States. I'm sure you're an expert on radical muslims and can prove beyond a shadow of doubt that all Wahhabi muslims are evil, but for the sake of sanity please read this: "The primary doctrine of Wahhabism is Tawhid, or the uniqueness and unity of God. Ibn Abdul Wahhab was influenced by the writings of scholars such as Ibn Taymiyya and rejected medieval interpretations of Islam, relying on Quran and hadith. He preached against a "perceived moral decline and political weakness" in the Arabian peninsula and strongly disapproved of idolatry, the popular cult of saints, and shrine and tomb visitation" Hmm sounds like radical political blielfs to me. Or how bout this from Dr. Nanata De Long Bas who is an actual muslim expert: "The militant Islam of Osama bin Laden does not have its origins in the teachings of Ibn Abd al-Wahhab [founder of Wahhabi Islam] and is not representative of Wahhabi Islam as it is practiced in contemporary Saudi Arabia, yet for the media it has come to define Wahabbi Islam in the contemporary era." The idea that this one branch of islam is responsible for all of the islamic terrorist in the world is hogwash made up by the US media to help the under educated masses hate one sect of Islam over anothers. So if Obama is a/was a muslim or in petacular a Wahhabi muslim the idea that he is going to destroy our nation "from the inside out" because he is/was is simply absurd. In fact it may mean that he does a hell of a lot better job then the white christian currently in office who can't comprehend simple math (increase spending while cutting taxes) and whose administation lies 900+ times to get us into Iraq ( http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080123/ap_on_go_pr_wh/misinformation_study ).

Why is it that we don't Take some personal responsibility, remove the illegal aliens, use the jobs that they vacate to employ our unemployed and remove them from the welfare/unemployment rolls and tell countries across the world that we can't afford to give them BILLIONS in economic aid when we have a populace of our own that is in turmoil. forego your second latte of the day and figure out where your local economy is protecting an illegal or two and refer that employer to the ICE folks and maybe we can dig ourselves out of this mess.

You have to look at the big picture when you talk about change. Change will not come over night, it will take time. A lot of things needs changing in the country, i.e. taxes, trade agreements, laws, immigration policy, labor laws, education reform, subprime lending and other issues. Our economy as a whole has suffered since the NAFA went into effect. All of these issues needs to be addressed and find a solution and implemented. The United States is a melting pot for the rest of the world. Everybody wants to come to the United States, however, the people who have been there all of there lives, built this great nation needs taken care off.

Both parties are promoting "change"...where have they been, where have I been, why do we fall for this kind of junk...they can't do a thing to change anything going on in Washington...all we get is promises of change and all we will ever get is gridlock and finger pointing from either party...I'm afraid that we are doomed to more of this every 4 years - nothing will ever change...even though I say this I feel that I am a dreamer that wishes for something better...who out there can give it to us...what I want in a President is someone who will take care of America (sorry, I don't care about the starving children in Africa) and what are needs are - I don't want to hear about the 'global economy' don't care about the yen, the peso, the euro or a kronor - I only want my President to worry about the American economy...American Jobs...Health care would be nice but we can't afford it and I don't want a socialistic government...so no health care is possible, get over it and get a job that will either pay for it or give it to you...I want our President to use other leverages against the evil threats levied at our country and our borders...Lots of problems and I don't have all the solutions but just talking change isn't going to get any of these problems solved and once their in office...forget about it you'll not see anything change... Call me Dissappointed in America...

This is my first election as a newly minted American Citizen. I feel dienfranchized that Florida Democrats have no say at the National Convention because of an early primary date. I think with Florida's history over the last 2 elections, we need all the help we can get. Silencing our voices because it doesn't suite the national Democratic Party that our primary was moved does not help

I have great health insurance, dut to my service in the U.S. Navy. But if anyone knows of someone who cannot afford
coverage, or has the meekest plan avalable, and those poor folks have no way of carrying for their children who
suffur from diseases I could mention all day long. Give yourself a family of four. You make a dollar above minimum
wage (due to your capabilities), you work two jobs, your wife works one, and you still will never be able to afford proper
health insurance. Then the people who make health judgments about you will complain how you and your wife can't
properly raise your children, mostly because you can't be home to do so. People, have compassion.

I want to commend the gentleman that served in Iraq, and all others, too. I am an AMERICAN, I believe in my country, and I had faith in you, for keeping American dream alive. Aparantly, that dream is dying. It is the unethical, cyanical, tyarants of politcians, that are demeaning democracy. Not only on the National levels, also within state, and local levels. We will soon summons a new type of war after Iraq, or even while this war is still in its talispin; "A Civil war II" right along the streets of America. My family came to America 6 generations ago, profounded in freedom and life in America. hard farmers, and worked to keep America fed. All taken aback from the government and forgein trade. Do any of these canditates really care... Huckabee, especially, He is trying to be somebody he will never be. "If we wanted a religious zealot in the white house, we would adopt the Pope. Besides Billy Graham done just fine. Billy Graham believed in what Martin Luther King and King, Jr. believed in "Freedom and equality to all people, miniority and otherwise, provided you were following the "American" dream. What these gentleman have done,or tried to do for our country, is meaningless now than it was before. Because the American People are becoming what the politician are today. scapegoats. my opinion. "God Bless America" ... and yes I believe in "all" the people, white, black, red, straight, bi, gay, transgendered. disabled/handicapped. just to name a few of "Our labels" of labeled society.
