Actually, Obama has tons of change planned in equisite detail. Check out his site. He's not just selling the phrase change. He's offering the U.S. some desperately needed change that for some reason the rest of the world was able to very successfully implement half a century ago but the U.S. in all it's disgusting greediness has not been able to. ...Oh yeah... that's why. He's basically offering to help us to our senses. Seriously, check out his plan.

Obama should have some kind of sincerety when he presents his issues. All of his "change" speeches won't cut it. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has touched the lives of many, many Americans (especially Texans) with her experience and concern for all issues. She has devoted her life, her work, and her efforts into helping every American. If you've noticed we are not like the rest of the world. The "Solutions" need to start here, in our home land.

Obama is selling change. Of course Cuba under the Castro Brothers would be a change, as would Iraq when governed by Saddam. Is change by itself worth voting for? Shouldn't we have some idea what kind of changes. I feel that he is too inexperienced and if it is him against McCain I will write in Al Gore.

Newsweek give some proper coverage of Ron Paul. Thank you!

  • Posted By: Geezy72 @ 02/20/2008 7:59:15 PM

Dynastic. I like that word. Like the New England Patriots of the political scene.

  • Posted By: Geezy72 @ 02/20/2008 7:57:25 PM

Um, maybe I am mistaken here, but I don't believe I am. Bush Sr. was only in office for 4 years, not 8, from '88-'92, then Clinton for 8 and "Dubya" for 8.
Other than that I agree with your comment, we are ready for a woman President, maybe just not Hillary. Of course that is only my opinion.

  • Posted By: Pongo @ 02/20/2008 7:51:42 PM

Bush "41" was President only 4 years--he was VP for 8 years before. It's true, though, that Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton is a bit dynastic.

Bush "41" was president only 4 years (he was VP for 8). But Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton is a bit dynastice, that's true.

  • Posted By: Askmeanything @ 02/20/2008 6:03:52 PM

Look I'm all up for a woman to be in office. I just don't think Hillary is the right one to be there. Not just that but if Hillary is elec. then the Bush's and the Clinton's have run this country for at lease 28 years. Bush Sr. 8yrs -
Bill Clinton 8yrs - Bush Jr. 8yrs - and Hillary at lease 4 yrs.

Sorry to burst your bubble TellItLikeItIs - but that is a misquote from michelle Obama. She said that this is the first time in her adult like that she is really proud of her country. That does not mean the same thing as she was never proud of her country - it does not mean that she was nto proud to be an American. Please read the quote and then pontificate on it. This is an enormous sense of pride - it is implicit that she has been proud before, but that now, she is exceptionally proud. If it were you were before a crowd of people supporting your spouse, wouldn't that be one of yoru proudest moments?

    • Posted By: TellItLikeItis1 @ 02/20/2008 5:20:07 PM

I didnt have to read it I heard what she said, "This is the first time in her adult life that she is proud to be an american". What was she proud of before now, did it take her husband running for president for her to be proud to be an american??

  • Posted By: TellItLikeItis1 @ 02/20/2008 2:06:09 PM

Twhit unless you have been to the south and know what you are talking about. It is very clear that you dont THINK, I live in Alabama and Im proud of it. This is not a race or a gender thing, I dont know why people want to make it that way. As for Obama, well, it's the first time in Michell Obama's life that she is proud to be an American.!! I have ALWAYS been proud to be an AMERICAN, you want to elect a man who's wife is not even proud of our country, proud to be an American??

I find it interesting how your map along with a great deal of the media as well as the Clinton organization shows Hillary Clinton winning Michigan and Florida although the delegates from each of these states will not be seated as a punishment to the state Democractic parties. All candidates were asked not to campaign in Michigan and to withdraw their names. All did that except for Hillary Clinton and Dennis Kucinich. Hillary received 50+% of the votes and uncommitted received 40+% of the vote.. Now some weeks later the Clinton camp and some other supporters want her victory (a one person race that she just barely got more votes than the strange uncommited class got) to count now that the delegate count is not going their way.

There is too much involvement by the party bosses in this primary process. First they set up superdelegates who are not chosen by the people. Then they want to change the rules when things are not going as they planned and seat delegates that were chosen in a $10,000,000 election when they had previously decided that would not be allowed.

As a Michigan voter I certainly am feeling disenfanchised.

    • Posted By: pwerneck @ 02/19/2008 11:32:43 PM

I think the map is correct. If you click on it, you will read that Michigan elects 0 (zero) delegates.

I went to Obama's website and I did read everything, from what I read it sounds like he is going to be more like Bush than McCain. This is not a black and white issue, or a male/female issue, it is who has the experience to run this country. I think Obama has everyone fooled right now and when or if he wins the nomination, this country is going to see the real Obama and I dont think anyone is going to like the person they see. He cocky, he is a snob that thinks he is better than everyone, he doesnt know what he is doing and he hasnt got the experience to do the job. Hillary has 8 years experience as a senator he has 1 year. I hope people open their eyes and see him for what he really is before it is too late. If Hillary's last name was not Clinton you would feel different about her, dont hold it against her because her last name is Clinton, she is the best one running for this country now, look at the person not her name. As for Obama's wed site I still dont see anything that shows me the change he wants for this country, he is talking just like all the rest of them, so where is the change!!!

    • Posted By: Twhit1007 @ 02/19/2008 7:48:42 PM

I really can't argue against ignorance. If you really did read the issues portion of his website can you please give a few examples of what exactly sound like he is another Bush?!? You say that the country doesn't see the real Obama, yet you have the insight to proclaim he is cocky and a snob. How come you "know" so much about him that the MAJORITY of democrats fail to see? You math is also incorrect. Clinton was sworn in Jan 2001 and Obama was sworn in Jan 2005 (which means he has been a senator for a full 3 years now), that is a difference of 4 years, not the 7 years you claim. He also has a dozen years as an Illinois legislator...she has what other elected office experience!?!?? During the time they were both Senators he has been more involved in sponsoring and co-sponsoring legislation than she has. If she wants to use her years as a first lady as "experience" then you can't ignore her last name. That experience includes all of the unanswered terrorist attacks that occured during his administration (i.e the first bombing of the world trade center, the attack on the USS Cole). In this age of global terrorism is that the type of "experience" that this country needs?
I wish you could just tell it like it is but you fail to be able to do so...unless of course you need someone to help define exactly what "it" and "is" means.

I find it interesting how your map shows Hillary Clinton winning Michigan. In the Democractic primary in Michigan every one was asked not to campaign and to withdraw their names from the ballot. Hillary and Dennis Kucinich left their names on the ballot. Hillary got 50+% of the vote and uncommitted got 40+% of the vote. It's interesting how the press and the Clinton organization now count that as a victory. Essentially this was a one person race and she barely won it. But now wants the delegates. If that isn't disenfanchising the voters I don't know what is. It's time that this sham democracy is exposed. There are too many decisions being made by party bosses (super delegates & unseated delegates from Michigan and Florida) under the disguise of 'democracy''.

Thanks GOD for the Good Ole Boys club! All this Obama slang makes me sick

  • Posted By: USAFltcol @ 02/15/2008 10:03:37 PM

Why hasn't Hillary been credited with winning New Mexico? What the hell is going on here?

  • Posted By: Miller2024 @ 02/07/2008 5:38:49 PM

    Mayor Jonathan Miller(D-R)

I campaigned for Barack Obama in Georgia, Missorii and in Northern California. Hillary clinton will not beat us republicans. People hate Hillary Clinton so get over it.

    • Posted By: muddy2 @ 02/15/2008 8:53:15 PM

I agree. I like Obama and Huckabee equally (I know, I know, one red, one blue... but there is more than one way to skin a cat), and since I have to choose, I will vote against Hillary. Ick, just typing her name makes my skin crawl.

I hope whoever comes into office can bring our fighting forces back home. We are in need of building jobs and families in this country. FIMA did nothing in New Orliens. Thats a superpower? I lived in Germany for 13 years, and the issue with health care in Germay did not exsist like in America. We as Americans can go win Gold medals in sports and win in everything that we try to do ..and we forget the one thing that makes us who we are. The diversity of our people. With out that, Our country will not be extrodinary, it would be ordinary.
And with that, a Woman or a Biracial man as president ..I don't care..Bring this country back together.

  • Posted By: Love/hate @ 02/15/2008 2:01:58 AM

O.K all of you people who keeps bringing the fact that Obama has less experience with the country but, Mrs Clinton was NOT the persident either. She was only the first lady and that does not make her president. And say you where wanting a job, and your boss said you dont have experiance,What would be your question to him/her? I think this country is in need of something. I know it is not war or finding Bin Laden, We need to find what this country should stand for. Free enterprise and the persuit of happyness for everyone. Stop bashing the candidates..they are both making a great stride for this country..I love them both..

This is shaping up to be a very interesting campaign. I am very excited to vote this time around. But what has me concerned are the comments from a political leader who said that some whites may not be ready to vote for a BLACK canidate? I have to ask that this be corrected. Isn't Senator Obama BIRACIAL? His mother was caucasion and his father was black. From what I know, that makes him biracial. But that just goes to show the mindset of our country, a drop of blood from a black person automatically makes one black? That is just pathetic!! Sen Obama is biracial, he's black and white. It would be nice if someone pointed this out to the American people, then perhaps, some would stop referring to him as being the black senator!!
