"Not all Democrats agree with Mr. Frank that such policies are off-limits to criticism. Last week Rep. Artur Davis of Alabama said in a statement: 'Like a lot of my Democratic colleagues I was too slow to appreciate the recklessness of Fannie and Freddie. I defended their efforts to encourage affordable homeownership, when in retrospect, I should have heeded the concerns raised by their regulator in 2004. Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit when it comes to Fannie and Freddie, we were wrong.'

"Mr. Davis is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus."

    'Rank snobbery'

Camille Paglia, who supports Sen. Barack Obama, has nothing but scorn for the way the media has treated Sarah Palin.

"The mountain of rubbish poured out about Palin over the past month would rival Everest. What a disgrace for our jabbering army of liberal journalists and commentators, too many of whom behaved like snippy jackasses," Miss Paglia writes at www.salon.com.

"The bourgeois conventionalism and rank snobbery of these alleged humanitarians stank up the place. As for Palin's brutally edited interviews with Charlie Gibson and that viper, Katie Couric, don't we all know that the best bits ended up on the cutting-room floor? Something has gone seriously wrong with Democratic ideology, which seems to have become a candied set of holier-than-thou bromides attached like tutti-frutti to a quivering green Jell-O mold of adolescent sentimentality."

    The Antichrist!:
When George Soros failed to obtain the election of his candidate, John Kerry, in 2004, he brooded for a while, even said he might get out of politics altogether, but he just couldn???t stop himself. He has stated publicly that he wishes to burst the ???bubble of American supremacy,??? because he says our preeminence in the world is a detriment to global ???equilibrium.??? So far, he has failed, but he keeps on trying.

And Mr. Soros has made no secret either of the fact that he sees the shortest way to effect political shake-ups, what he terms ???regime changes,??? is through very difficult economic conditions.

America has not yet felt the full force of Soros style economic shock treatment. But others have.

Soros made his first billion in 1992 by shorting the British pound with leveraged billions in financial bets, and became known as the man who broke the Bank of England. He broke it on the backs of hard-working British citizens who immediately saw their homes severely devalued and their life savings cut drastically in comparative worth almost overnight.

When the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997 threatened to spread globally, George Soros was right in the thick of it. Soros was accused by the Malaysian Prime Minister of causing the collapse with his monetary machinations, and he was branded in Thailand as an ???economic war criminal??? who ???sucks the blood from the people.??? Right in the middle of this crisis, Soros dashed off his book, The Crisis of Global Capitalism, which demanded a ???third way??? toward economic stability.

Wake up, America, before it is too late!!!!

Barach Hussein Obama is a junior senator with a voting record of voting for partial birth abortion. His afilation with George Soros is well known and his remarks are repleat with ideas that George has and continues to champion.Barach Hussein Obama's recent speech in which he condemed the people of the united states for reading the bible and for exercizing their constitutional right to bear arms was an attempt to see what reaction his absurd remarks would achieve.

Empty Suit? What are you talking about. Look at his web site in the Issues section. He spells his positions out clearly and what he will do to address the issues.

He is an empty suit. A travesty of a candidate. Voting for him would be one of the greatest displays of ignorace in the world today.

Obama should quit trying to help his country, they(about 50%) seem to be simple minded voting for a liar, deceiving.immoral like hillary.
Only people that are dumb believe in god and these are the people flocking to billary , intelligent people that are educated know that there is no god, I don???t believe that any of those religious pricks has heard of DARWIN or understand what it is all about. I did not hear rev. wright say anything that wasn???t true.

Obama is a good person with integrity and don???t deserve the bullshit those racist and religious dumb pricks are doing to him. America is the most immoral place in the universe and they act like they never do or say anything wrong. All those religious nuts probably watch porn and molest their kids every night. Religious people are hypocrites.

Comment: I just wanted to respond to this comment: He has manipulated the nomination process to defeat the candidate who has the best chance of winning the white house for the democrats.

As a true democrat I was willing to support either candidate that won this nomination, let's remember they both have similar plans and both respect one another. No matter how far this goes we need to make sure the democratic party unites for the good of the country. Now wether you were with Clinton or Obama we are democrats and I would have supported Hillary if she would have won the nomination. I don't think Hillary had any idea that Obama would have the millions of supporters behind him. Hillary also has millions of supporters this is a good thing people. But to say that Obama has manipulated the nomination process is not fair game at all. All parties agreed to the process in Michigan and Florida and if Hillary was winning she wouldn't fight this hard for the delegates, she now need these delegates to win so let's blame Obama. We know better than this, and whomever win we should support. For the people who say they will switch over to McCain maybe you were going to vote McCain anyway, because if we unite the Hillary supporters and Barack supporters McCain will not stand a chance. Barack is not perfect and he has experienced some mishaps just like Hillary but at the end of the day we need to stay united. Obama has not cheated this process, Obama has not tried to divide this party, Obama should not be blamed for what took place in Michigan and Florida, Let me remind you the Govenor's of those states agreed to this penalty as well. Obama is trying to gain the support of all parties as well as Hillary. Obama is not forcing any superdelgates to support his campaign, he is reaching out to them just the same as Hillary. Hillary has loss a lot of support from people who were in there campaign when her husband was President, people that were insiders and close to them. They all have switched over to Obama. She is still trying to convince the undecided to support her but they both are. Why Blame Obama for how this played out. Obama has a fundraiser online where any and all Americans can go and donate $25.00 and up, that shows there are millions of people who believe in his message because he is out raising all of the other candidates including Hillary. Hillary is still in the ball game yes we no that, but don't accuse this man of such false rumors when he is campaigning just as hard as Clinton. I give them both credit, but at the end of the day I am a democrat and will stay a democrat before I ever put in my vote for McCain.........

The question that should be asked is: "Does the American public want the media to elect their next President?" The world is shocked and amazed at how the media in the United States has treated a Presendential candidate for The United States of America. The democratic process of electing a President has been thrown to the wind and equal coverage has not been given to Hillary Clinton. The media has already elected THEIR canidate and vowing to the American public true and just coverage reporting, which should be unbiased has left a bad taste in the mouths of the American public. The media did not give accurate or just coverage of West Virginia. They did not ask why Obama did not even try in WV and why he is in Iowa and totally neglecting Oregon and Kentucky. Obviously those states do not matter. How may Americans do not matter to Obama? A revolution is in the forecast, if Americans cannot get fair and just coverage of a candidate without being "influenced" by the media, then as in history past, do Americans need to go "underground"? This is a perfect time to protest and as in history past, get the truth out with "underground" newspapers. Just like the civil war, the slaves, John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King the truth will set us free! Just when is it just and fair to watch a 20 minute speech given by an endorsee and cutting off Hillary Clintons' over 2-1 win WV? To have a discussion on the issues facing the candidates and only have Obama supporters represented has sunk the media to a new low. Ask any American, and they will tell you they are not tired of this race for the democratic party going on, they are tired of the media being biased and unjust in not only their portrayal of President candidate Hillary Clinton, but they are tired of not having a voice, a chance to vote, yes, all votes counted, and they are tired of hearing that this race is over when in reality it is definitely not over! Let America be heard, every vote counts, every state counts, and thank God Hillary has the guts and determination to go forth and make this nation once again the Democratic process, the Democratic freedom that so many have fought for. All the way to the convention floor-we will be heard, we will vote, we will have a say on who are next President is, we are Americans!

    M.Gubbons speaks out for America!

You are much smarter and more insightful than most of these people you talk about in your commentary. I agree that the use of religion by many Americans (like Hillary) is really hypocrasy at its worse...when in the same breath they lie, cheat and defame others simply to win an election. Although Obama doesn't deserve the negative treatment he receives (primarily from his own Party menbers), I too believe he is our country's best hope to fix all of the problems casued during the past 8 years. It's interesting to see how much we have in common considering the fact that I am a proud African American who wants the same thing you want...an effective President regardless of what color he happens to be. Power to all people who care about this country like WE do!

You are much smarter and have much greater insight than most of the so-called religious and supposedly smart Americans you talk about. I seriously agree with what you say aout their convenient use of religion while they lie, cheat and steal (like Hillary and her supporters) with no honest regard for trying to do what is best/fair for this country or it's citizens. I join you in supporting Obama for the very reasons you mentioned, He will be a great president for all of us, even those who don't want or deserve him....from a highly educated African-Amertican in Texas.

I just watched a member from the Clinton camp whining about how obama has been attacking poor Hillary and making himself look bad. Funny thing though that Clinton was the first to play the race card, she has thrown everything she can at him and still has not slowed him down one inch, and the more she does it the worst she looks. If obama was attacking her as hard as she has him then why is she looking like the bad guy (girl) in America's eyes.

Also she says that at 3 am when that phone rings she would be the candidate who would be ready, heck she couldn't even remember if she was under sniper fire back in 95 because she was "tiered" wow wonder what she will recall at 3am.

As for her experience as president because she has already been in the white house once. give me a break, she was in the white house and was totally oblivious to her husband screwing around in the oval office. if this lady get in the white house i have to ask how many times can she use the good old quote of " I was tiered, and i am not dumb" give me a break. Obama will be our next president, and America will just have to get use to it.
