This wasn't by any means a well researched or reported book.. What it was was a badly googled researched book, with no essential first person interviews and citations from publications that had reported incorrectly when initially published.

What a national travesty. We are emulating our European ancestors in their most shameful behavior. Are we to become nothing more than an alternating monarchy? Perhaps we shall then have Jab, and after him Chelsea? If this tarnished woman is the best we can muster we are truly doomed. The denial of the growing problems during Bill's years, the healthcare debacle, the cozying up to the Chinese and the scandals where enough to empower the right wing nuts in this country to seize power. Now the democrats offer up his WIFE as the solution! If we don't start seeing some people of vision and integrity soon, I will be becoming a Muslim so I wont be beheaded when this nation collapses under its own avarice and corruption. Haven't any of you learned the lessons of history?

no more clintons. No more Bush's. Please...we need NEW leadership with fresh ideas/minds. Not the status quo.

While no doubt some of what this article suggests may be true, with every President comes close relationships, married or otherwise. Karl Rove and Dick Cheney may not be Dubya's spouse but their influence is strong and clear. I would welcome Bill's influence! Finally, it is tiring reading and listening to pundits and journalists playing psychologist...exremely tiring.

Clearly our country is in need of three things: 1. Balanced budget, 2. Balanced reporting, 3. Bill and Hillary. both the author of the book and the article need to examine the stability of their own personal relationships before judging the relationship of the statemen and women of our country, who have jointly committed to mending our nation, rather than meddling in other nations, without regard for the geopolitical consequences of their actions and its damaging global ramifications against the US. It would behoove Evans and Smith to reshuffle their tarot cards and polish their crystal balls before forecasting the future of our country and the quality of its leadership. And for the record, its going to take two leaders, not one, to pull ourselves out of this thermo-political quagmire.
If Evan Thomas and Smith were running for "Reporter" Elections they would have just lost my two votes. Gossip and heresay is never attractive, it doesn't sell well, and is demonstrates a gerneral lack of knowledge.

If a Clinton wins the 2008 presidential election if will be "Billary" Clintom. a mannish personality with all the grit to go with it--stern of demeanor, angry of (natural) countenance--plus an immoral, unprincipaled, king-queen of deception and lies. I'm referring to the f. gender of the entity, of course. If the f. "Billary" had run first, she would have had no chance, whatsoever of being nominated, much less elected. All the world loves the personality and friendliness (if not the morals and truthfulness of the former president). It is so sad that he, who has a handsome bearing, a winsom personality, as well as a true love of (most) people, has such character flaws which are bound to be embarrasing to both his wife and his daughter. Does America really want a blatant thief of White House trophies?

Whatever is a saintship... give Clintons a break.... American needs a united front everywhere. Hillary needs his support and so as the Americans. Learn to forgive. We all make mistakes and also learn from mistakes. Ram

I totally disagree about hillary I feel that she knew all along what was going on with that slut and she just let hime hang his on self I also feel she is strong enough to do whatever she pleases like run this country who do you think was running it when he was having an affair and of course it hurt her shes human isnt she we all are and no shes not special because she is a woman just like barack isnt because he is black. I feel she is smarter and more qualified for the job,but I dont see her letting Bill or anyone telling her what to do . I think she will listen to her people and make an informed decision on the facts . I think she learned that lesson with iraq. Bill does make a good folllower and crusader but Hillary is her own person and she has my vote 100 0\0 Hilarry dont let me down

Why do people keep talking about Bush-Cheney? They are lame ducks and gone in a year. Cheney has no plans to run why even talk about him?

Whatever the difficulties with the Cinton marriage, they are a far better couple for America than the unholy, immoral Bush-Cheney alliance.
