Comment: I think turkish governments are right because they have to stopped this terrorism attacks. unfortunately Bush didnt want to stop PKK. If he wanted to stop, Turkish army would be in Iraq now. When Turkey dont think American's opinion, they can be independent but i think this will not happened.

Comment: if u dont solve the problems behind the attacks, this problem can never be solved.yeah invasion of northern iraq is the possible but the simplest solution that will last for a couple of days. But is that will be enough?let me remind you turkish army passed iraqi borders and and made many strikes and operations since the Saddam Hosein`s time.but what makes you think that this time will be different from the others?violance brings only violance plz just remember this and then act.

Comment: it is clear that many plans and secrets behind closed door. because if there is a result there must be some reasons. then the point is focusing on on the reasons. why did Turkey give up from invasion when his army and most of his people strongly supporting such an action? because of Northern iraq Kurds? unexpected results?Kurds living in Turkey? or insufficiency for handling the area after operation?or affraiding of new economic crisis? or just not to have any conflict with Usa?maybe partly all of them.but those are all not the reason.there must be something invisible. when talking about this area u must take iran into account. there are new projects on the horizan to shape new world order. the most complex cases are the most simple ones. Turkey will help USA for invasion of iran and in return Usa will help Turkey to get rid of PKK problem soon. and Usa also wants to solve palestine problem before he focusing on the iraq, iran, turkey. so i believe that in a short time we will see a free palestine country But before those can occur there must be something unexpected and shocking in few months. and i am really wonder what gonna happen so soon:)

Comment: First of all. This war with Iraq should never have happened. Second the only real threat to peace is Bush himself. He has played our system for everything he could. And while we suffer with the deaths of our men and woman of the armed forces. He sets here and thinks of taking on new countries. What we should do is bring our forces home and protect our borders. Let the rest of the world people kill themselves off if they want, and we will keep to our own business. We have enough troubles here as it is. Everyone thinks of the U.S. as a big bully, and as long as Bush is in office. That will stay the same. At least 85% or more of the U.S. people want this war to go away and for the troops to come home. What the world needs to think about is the fact that we all live on this one planet. There is no second chance if a new world war was to break out. There is no escape from the damage that would happen if the countries with Weapons of mass destruction were to be released. Mankind would be gone. The people of this planet need to grow up and stop playing childish games of war and power struggles. Nobody wins in the end if we are all dead. There is not 1 person on this planet that has a different color of blood besides red. We all come from the love of 2 people. We are born into this world with the hope of happiness and freedom. We are raised to the best of our parent???s abilities. And their hope is for us to be safe and have a good life. Only to have it taken away by people that think they are better than everyone else. It is time to put the weapons down and to find a way to live in peace together.

Comment: To jimhenderson: You cannot be serious. First of all, Iraq is very far from being a sound democracy. Second, the Taliban is not decapitated and is making a resurrgence (do you read the news?) I will agree with you that he did depose Saddam, but on baseless grounds. And how could you possibly think that it was Bush's "brilliant" policies that have kept us terrorist free? Making such assumptions is foolish. I implore you to take a look at the way the majority of Americans feel towards this president and this government and change your thinking. Bush is inept, and has been since people like you voted him in.

Comment: Yeah Mr Shankardadaz, that inept Mr Bush. Sure he deposed the most dangerous dictator in the mid-east and established a democracy in the heart of the most volatile area in the world. Sure he decapitated the Taliban in a lawless frontier and established another democracy. OK, so he decimated Al Queda and has kept the US free from terrorists since November of 2001. But what has he done lately I ask you?

Comment: How novel, letting the citizens of a country take care of solving the problem. Too bad more of that way of thinking isn't encouraged. Unless the people who have a real stake in the problem take on the responsibility of solving it, it will always be a problem.

Comment: Isn't it weird how Bush, who in 2000 didn't even know the name of the Pakistani dictator Musharraf, now engages in diplomacy on the behalf of three nations - the U.S.A., Iraq and Afghanistan? This time he did a good job. Now if only he could fix the other messes.

Comment: these rebels are not run of the mill insurgents. they are an armed rebel group fighting for their right to form their own country. Good for them. if they need to raid military columns to capture weapons, well then thell do it.

Comment: We have been living together with kurds for centruies and we consider each other as a brother but terrorism, which is being supported by some countries, is aiming of dividence of these two brother culture but as turkish citizens we will not give this chance to PKK terrorists.

Comment: PKK supporters must be discriminated from our citizens with Kurdihs ethnicity. I dont know in which part of Turkey you guys are living, but we do not think of our Kurdish friends as potential terrorists. Most PKK militants are Kurds, that's true, but not all of them are Turkish citizens either. Some of them are Iraqi, Syrian, and Iranian Kurds. They even have terrorists from many other countries.

  • Posted By: erguneyf @ 11/07/2007 10:03:12 AM

Comment: what makes you people feel like these guys are rebels? PKK is officially announced as a terrorist organization by both the States and European Union. You wont believe it, or what?

Comment: As an American living in Turkey I can attest to the extreme prejudice that most Turks harbor against the Kurds. You would think that they are all terrorists, which simply is not true. Most want the very same things that the Turks want: peace, well paying jobs and a future for their children. Who is dingo?

  • Posted By: stevenesands @ 11/07/2007 9:37:23 AM

Comment: As an American living in Turkey, my experience is that the Turkish are extremely prejudiced against the Kurds. But the bottom line is that terrorism is terrorism, and I do not recall any American saying anything any different than that.

Comment: No they are prejudiced against us since 1926

Comment: Americans are very very hypocritic! EL-KAiDE is terrorist group but PKK isn't (?) Hey Americans ! You are very very dingo !

    • Posted By: Shankardada2 @ 11/07/2007 10:20:09 PM

Comment: murvet.satir - Read the article, dummy. Bush agrees that PKK is a terrorist group.

  • Posted By: murvet.satir @ 11/07/2007 4:05:08 AM

Comment: PKK help to EL-Kaide! You will see at very soon...Americans are very 2face !
