Jeezus Christ. I am so sick of everyone getting so up in arms about a word. Get over yourselves, people. This ridiculousness has just gone too far out of control and it seems to me that it is just that one word. I never hear about a gay man getting bent out of shape over the word "faggot". Or a *** freaking out over "***". I have never seen an Italian trying to get reparations over the word "***". I must hear the words "cracker" and "white ***" 50 times a day in the predominantly black downtown area of the city I reside. Anyway, this is the United States and I thought we had the freedom of expression here. Nobody loves everybody and we have the right to express and vocalize our hate, or so I thought. If you don't like it then maybe you should move to a country where you get thrown in prison for speaking your mind. Oh wait- this country is headed that way anyhow! Deal with it. ***, hook-nosed Jew. faggot, ass pirate, ***, *** WOP, guido, ***, gook, cracker, ***, burr-headed porch monkey, *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***. Come and get me you communists.

jeesus christ, I am so sick of all this ridiculousness over a word. You don't hear gays getting all up in arms about the word "faggot". I do not get upset and offended when I hear the word "cracker" or get called "white ***" 50 times a day in the predominantly black downtown area of the city I live in. WOP, cracker, ***, ***, ***, gook, porch monkey, hook-nosed Jew, ***, faggot, ***. Get over yourselves. This is the United States, people, and we are supposed to have the freedom to express ourselves and not everyone is going to love everybody else. Some of us hate and that is our right. Either deal with it or move to a country where you are thrown into prison for speaking your mind. Of course, it seems that our country is headed that way anyhow. *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***, Now come and get me.

One of the most beautiful psalms of all is to be read at 36:45-69 wherein it states:

And if the dark men amongst ye
    Continue to raise hell
Yea shall I deal with them harshly
    Rejoice in the sickle-cell

That would include you as well, black man!!!

Achmed Naroobi is clearly a pseudonym--this kid's name is probably Mike: he's 18 and from Trenton, New Jersey, and probably his partents or grandparents utter hate speech when the neighbors aren't around. I hope all is well Mike. Be good. You'll feel better.

Psalm 36 only has 12 verses.

People, it's time to move on. There will always be victims, and there will always be survivors. You are either one or the other.

  • Posted By: informity_over_conformity @ 11/14/2007 11:05:25 PM

Both points of view are questionable as both are using the victim stance to justify each particular rationale. in the meantime, during all this reactionism, neither of you realize that you are only feeding into each others limited perspectives. If you want to appear enlightened or informed, speak on the intergenerational trauma inflicted on ALL "monorities," including women and children. Be informed before trying to martyr your race...you risk both subjecting whomever,or whatever, you are attempting to defend to further oppressive assumptions, generalizations and actions. Your words, due to their lack of forethought and limiting capacity, will continue to be used as examples and justifications by those who would be more than happy to do so.

Why should any intelligent, open-minded person be offended by what this man or Imus or whomever has to say? Why personalize a statement from any obviously ignorant person? You might as well write their respective stations and petition to put them back on the air. Learn about big business and it's multi-million dollar marketing psychology schemes... it's your reactions, and furor that are funding their next "gig."

I am in agreement with you on this. We should use our "consumer vote" and simply stop watching this type of show (or person). In the end the ratings are the true lawgivers and judges here!

  • Posted By: Doc Becker @ 11/21/2007 10:58:00 AM

Let me get that facts straight....this guy had a private conversation with his son....the son POs the Dad (not hard to do with some sons) and the Dad in a fit of rage throws out some hateful talk to hurt his son.....I hope I got the facts right.

I am suprised that a "non-public" and unauthorized tape of a private conversation causes such an issue. I don't use derogatory terms because it denotes a lack of proper education. It reminds me of all the worst things about America. But in the confines of a personal life I do believe that a person is free (no matter how uneducated he or she may be) to voice, in a private conversation, whatever they want to without fear of retribution. Once we start down this path we will start to lose some of those freedoms our ancestors fought so hard for. This is the type of thing that happened in the Soviet Union....is that where we want to end up?

Public statements by public people...okay...we should excercise our right as a free people to allow the comments....then we use our "consumer vote" to regulate what happens....if people don't like the person or the content ...they don't watch it...eventually when enough people stop watching the person (or show) then it will simply go away...that is the American system in action...

Unfortunately at least some of America still likes to watch a semi-reality show that exposes all the worst that America has to offer...watching some guy run around capturing the "dregs" of our society is not my idea of entertainment. This of course makes me sad...but it is the America I live in and they have that right....and what we have to decide is...do we open this Pandora's Box of censorship of private conversations?

I will not admonish, punish or limit what a person says in a private conversation...think of where that could go.....

Statistics show that the majority of welfare recipients are Caucasian women; this is because their white men are to busy molesting little children and then killing them. Asians are shooting up schools, stupid chinxs. Achmed is probably planting bombs as we speak. Hispanics are illegally crossing over the border so fast, we can???t even catch their speedy Gonzalez asses. And you all are talking about some dumb red neck that uses the "N" word. That is in their blood, its from all the centuries of being inbreeded. Give me a break losers!! Get a life... losers!! Get a life...

  • Posted By: Bookworm1957 @ 11/14/2007 12:40:37 PM

The "N-word" is hateful and racist no matter who uses it and no one should ever say that word to or about anyone. Some African Americans use the word with each other claiming to "own" or to "reduce the power" of the word. However it still sets off a powerful rage if a non-African American person uses it. If you allow someone of your race to call you a racist word and rage against someone not of your race who uses that same racist word, you are racist. Luke 6:41, 42 - And why beholdest thou the mote (OF RACISM) that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam (OF RACISM) that is in thine own eye? Either how canst thou say to they brother , Brother, let me pull out the mote (OF RACISM) that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam (OF RACISM) that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam (OF RACISM) ou of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote (OF RACISM) that is in they brother's eye.

THe comment was made in a private telephone conversation. Why should it affect anything else? Whether it was meant as racial slur or in a loving sense- it was in private to a family member. I think the person in need of pennance is the son who recorded the conversation and then sold it for profit! He hung his father out for a buck! Not to expose a racist for the sake of betterment, etc.- but for a buck! I've never seen Dog The Bounty Hunter's show but do not believe that it should be in hiatus, cancelled or even affected by this issue.

    • Posted By: An American in Texas @ 11/07/2007 1:58:49 AM

I'm at a loss to understand how the N-word can be used "in a loving sense." Perhaps you could enlighten us?

      • Posted By: joeboy101 @ 11/07/2007 12:22:37 PM

How about in how it used by black men all around the country every day towards their buddies, "My N----!"? Does that count? I don't think this was used lovingly, but as to whether its use proves him a racist is hardly compelling.

        • Posted By: celliott648 @ 11/07/2007 2:16:35 PM

Not all Black men around the country address each other with "My Ni-----". Stop generalizing a whole race!

          • Posted By: KameronJ @ 11/08/2007 12:03:05 AM

Agreed. I really don't see how anyone can generalize and say that all black people call all black people with the N-word. I'm black. My family and friends are black. We have never used that word towards each other in anger or in play. So if anyone states in a sweeping stroke that ALL black people do it - you obviously don't live on the same earth I live on. As for the Dog guy and the phone conversation - wheter it was a private conversation or not, it captured his true feelings for all to hear and see him for what his obviously is...a twisted racist. Make any excuse for him if you want, make any excuse for his family or circle of friends - but it is what it is and he is what he is. What I don't get is his line of BS that says "around here we sometimes call black the n-word" and then wants to say he has Aloha for blacks. That's like saying I'm serious about my health and diet but then only eat fast food greasy hamburgers for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But you know what - it doesn't matter what witty comments I make, and it doesn't matter what other people believe blacks say to each other so it should be alright for others to say it. It all boils down to something all of us learned before pre-school Which is, treat others the way you want to be treated. If Mr. Dog followed that - there would be no long winded posts on Newsweek about him in this fashion. But he and his people decide to try and keep it in the closet and speak and act one way in public and one way at home. He just got busted in public in a big way. And now we all know the truth about him. Regardless of which corner you are in - he made his bed and his true colors are shown for everyone to see. Besides, I thought he was pretty much a trashy piece of trash anyway.

            • Posted By: greatguytn @ 11/12/2007 4:10:26 PM

Laughing my butt off at you as you say "I don't see how anyone can generalize" and then at the last of your BS post, you say "he and his people" . . . which is yet another generalization. Bottom line: A LOT (NOT ALL) but a lot of you black folks generalize and are "racist" as well. CASE IN POINT

              • Posted By: NubianQueen @ 11/19/2007 1:43:23 PM

Yeah I'm racist...if I had the chance I'd blow every white woman, man, and child to smithers!!!! Lol, come on poeple. Please Please Please stop trying to put a whole race in the same category. I personally don't give a care what your race is.

            • Posted By: joeboy101 @ 11/08/2007 5:57:26 AM

Read my comment again, I said 'black men all around the country' NOT 'all black men around the country'. Ginormous difference.

              • Posted By: Jebwil123 @ 11/08/2007 3:00:49 PM

The one thing I will ask about this issue is whether there are any African-Americans working in any capacity on the production team that puts his show on the air. That, I believe is the true test of racism. Economic exclusion is the real evil of racism. I am sure that people of color answered the ads for employment when they were putting that show together. If he denied a person a position because of race, religion or sexual identity, then there is a problem. Words coming from some person who does not hold some economic might over me does me no harm. For the record, I am an African-American.

it's a slang amongst our community that we use amongst each other. slang is words twisted to mean something else in light of something else. Girls nowadays say my "B" to show love to their friends. When I was little we said something was cool, it wasn't necessarily cold and my best friends are really "B" in a derogatory sense but we say it bc it's slang it has real meaning and it has social meaning all we ask is that it stays that way, read my last comment on this issue maybe you'll get it.

I at first wished to respond to Joshua Alston's silly article, until I read poeticide's even sillier responses. Let me just say one thing, Joshua. I hope using the ebonics (uneducated) sounding phrase "Who He?" in your title was a joke on the offended parties we're discussing, and not something you wrote unintentionally. Now on to poeticide's comments. While you're right that not everyone in one race is lazy and on welfare, as poeticide states, that doesn't change the fact that a rather large percentage of that race is lazy and on welfare. Seven out of ten black kids grow up with out a father. I'd say being too lazy to raise your own child is pretty lazy. And that, my friend, is not opinion. It's a fact of American life. I'm sure your grandfather, as you pointed out, is a good man. Many of your race are. However, an exception to the rule does not negate the rule. Next I'd like to adress your comment where you attack freedom in America, where you say that freedom is in fact not accessible for everyone and all communities. Just before that coment you said that Africans built America to begin with. I beg to differ. Africans picked some cotton, cooked, and performed other menial labor, which I'm sure was a great convenience for slave-owners, but I'd hardly call that a nation. Not only do I not believe Africans built America, I seriously doubt Africans would even have had the ability to find America, were it not for other Africans selling them into slavery. Most likely you'd all still be running around poking each other with spears and eating ants if it was not for cotton, so really you should be thankful. Go steal some hub-caps and buy stock in Hanes to show your appreciation. And if Africans are in fact great nation builders, why in all this time, uninterrupted by Americans, have they been unable to build anything in their native continent? Last time I checked, Somalia and Ethiopia weren't exactly models of modern civilization. Nor, for that matter, Darfur. If I had to make a list of the top ten leaders I've met in my life, a black man would be on the list. I don't believe racism, or inadequacies in blacks, is the problem. Rather it is individual choices made and actions taken by men. Please respond, poeticide.

    I hear you.

    I hear you all.

The day of reckoning is coming soon.

The wise ones amongst you are coming to the realization that there are certain groups who have as their sole reason for existence, the destruction of the values sought and cherished by others. These "people" must be exterminated for they will never change their outlook.

It's not my fault people. I gave you a free will to pick and choose what you want to do. Unfortunately, there was a small group of people who decided to f uck monkeys and that's why n1 ggers exist today.

I tried to remedythe situation with the sickle cell and AIDS, but it's not enough. henceforth, I will createthe plague of the Citrullus Lanatus* to fix the problem. It should only take a year or two, so leave your ropes at home and try to work with those of the group who mean well. they are few, but they do exist, so help me Me.

Though I don't condone the language Dog used, it was still a private conversation between father and son that should not have been recorded for the son's personal retaliation against his father. Tucker knew his father didn't approve of the girl he was seeing. Dog knows something about this girl that we don't. The "grammar police" needs to stay out of this situation. "Kramer" was different, he hollered in front of a crowd and willingly insulted the black men in his audience. Dog's conversation was private. Tucker should not be invited to anymore Thanksgivings or Christmas dinners, and birthdays be damned.

If I had a son like Tucker, lets say he wouldn't be part of my life anymore.

    Now......BRING BACK THE DOG !!!!!

I DEFY anyone to say that you cannot identify certain people's ethnicity by listening to them talk or by reading what they post here.Yes, tou're correct . . . the preceding comment applies more to n1 ggers than any other group. Also, note that there is a difference between n1 ggers and black people. The latter is meant to be a respectful term; the former is not.

"Though we'd like to do more, there's ultimately only so much we can do to punish people for having ideologies we don't approve of"

Yes, it's too bad we can only shame, humilate and ruin their careers. Mr. Alston obviously pines for the days
of gulags, conentration camps, and re-education camps for those that are not PC. Only a sicko like Mr. Alston could wish to actually punish people for have an ideologie that they disagree with. Mr. Alston obviously sees himself as some type of sadistic God whose job is to punish those who think differently. Unfortunately his disease is common among the PC crowd.

Tipemone, evidently you are missing the last 300 years or so of history on this continent. I do not know of white people lynched by a group of blacks shouting any of the W-words. Let alone the castrations, burnings, beatings, beheadings, etc that blacks suffered at the hands of whites all while being called the N-word. Even today a black person can be shot down by the police, who are always justified, no matter what walk of life they come from and whether they are armed or not. One can not change the meaning or the hate behind the word, although some black and some white try to. Racists can not see that they are racist, Tipemone, take a tip from me, you are.

Tipemone, evidently you are missing the last 300 years or so of history on this continent. I do not know of any white people lynched by a group of blacks, of course had that occured and had they been shouting the W-word I'd be able to see your point. Let alone the castrations, burnings, beatings, beheadings, etc. that were connected to the N-word. Even today a black person can be shot down by the police without any fear or justice. Racists have trouble seeing that they are racist. Let me tell you, you are.
