N-Word Mea Culpas Are Wearing Thin

If any word is good enough for any race to use it, than it is good for all races to use it, not just blacks. Besides, at this point in time N I G G E R no longer implies the black race, it is what it is a shiftless, lazy person, no matter the color. Blacks have recently used this too bolster their argument that any person other than black that says that is a racist while they profess that their meaning is different. Funny that whiteboy, peckerwood, cracker, whitetrash- none of those are the W-words. Give me a break, just another reason for the black race to scream inequality and racism.

First of all to the low and narrow minded comments that were made earlier, it is ridiculous to think that racism isn't a major issue today. Even before Jena six a noose was hang on my uncle's truck and it was also keyed(scratched). Here is a man who has pushed and strived to attain respect in his community and also has his own business yet you seem to think if he doesn't like the way he's treated he should leave this country in which Africans built to begin with? That is not complaining, that is not taking the bull crap from some racist who can't stand the fact that he is who he is and he has what he has! A good job, an education and a good life. And I will never thank my ancestors for taking a beating so that I could be free! Freedom doesn't exist in this country anymore for me as wellas for you.True enough we are in a better country than most and we have a lot of avenues to take to better ourselves but let's be honest, it is simply not available for everyone and all communities. And I find it hard to believe you've never complained about anything in your life. The N word is just what it is. No wrong or right way to use in this case because someone said it best, even if we decided to stop using it amongst our race, you and others like you will still use it... I'm not going to comment on the Jews because they have gone through a lot also but if you do your research, there are still hate crimes and comments gainst them as well. Also, all blacks don't follow leaders because they're black some of us are educated enough to know what's right from wrong. I guess we could say the same thing about caucasion americans, they follow white leaders or face the wrath, don't believe me ASK GEORGE W. BUSH...

Like the slaves mentioned by the previous writer the Jews who suffered during the Holocaust are fir the most part no longer living. Maybe the arguement is not are the people who suffered these horrible acts still alive, but what is the leagcy of such horrible acts on the living decendents. Here is the point, apartheid (Jim Crow/Segregation) existed in the US until 1968 an entire century after slavery ended. How long after 1968 did those festering resentments and attitudes last? How many people blamed and continue to blame Jews for the sons and daughters dying in World War II? How many people because of religious reasons consider Jews the enemy? I am not saying one groups suffering has been worse than the other. What I am suggesting is that no issue is just black and white (pun intended). Put your own biases away and think

I am so sick of hearing whites say " get over it, you all use the n word, so why can't we"? I don't like the use of the word by blacks or whites or anybody else. It is not all blacks that condone this first of all. And even if we did as a people stop using the word, whites and other races wouldn't stop using the word. So white folks get out of denial stage please. Stop making stupid excuses. What if we called you Crackers in public?

Black people (or is it colored? negro? the other white meat?) are pissed off and the best thing is to focus it on is something that happened hundreds of years ago, by no one alive today, to no one alive today. Hold on to that grudge as long as you can, because as soon as people get tired of hearing you complain about what can't be controlled, your case is closed. Jews had is much worse, as they were exterminated, not clothed and fed for work done. I'm not saying slavery was not a bad thing, but unless you were a slave, get over it. Jews have more right to be upset, but instead they have struggled for success amongst the same hurdles. Instead of complaining about your plight, get down on your knees and thank your ancestors for suffering the way they did, so you could be born here. If it is so hard to be back in America, thanks to Lincoln, you are now free to leave.

The Jena Six wrongly attacked a young man who had nothing to do with the hanging of nooses; and the attackers are very familiar with the police, because they have been ikn trouble before. They just saw the chance to attack someone. And black Africans sold their brothers into slavery, long before there was an America to sell them to. If theree are slavers today, they take the form of Al Sharpton, and other black leaders, who have sold the black vote to the Democrats for decades. A black man today, if he makes it on his own, is not permitted to have his own opinion, he must toe the line, or face the wrath of black leaders. Don't believe me? As Bill Cosby. Ask Colin Powell... his years of sevice to America got him labeled a house slave, b y someone who's biggest claim to fame if the "Banana Boat" song.

Amerikkkas nightmare. the problem is that history created this problem, the actions of anglo saxons treating those with darker skin less than human. Its not that Dog used the the word, its the thought behind it. And I can't say that its his fault directly, thats how he was raised. The default reasoning behind the "i'm not a racist" comment is "I have black friends, many of my co workers are black,etc. No, no, and NO!!!! The problem is buried deep within the culture of white amerikkka. In 2007/2008 this country still wants to crack the whip on the backs of black men especially. So the public outcry over the word is nothing but a political front to massage the house ***. Well, i'm not buying it at all, just another form of slavery. Amerikkka created the *** by destroying the identity and turning men into slaves. Amerikkka raped our women and eradicated families, for more than 400 years!! If you plant the seed of a tree today and come back 400 years later, that seed will be a great tree. White Amerikkka's best bet would be to avoid that word like Bush has avoided BinLaden. Anerikkka created my hate, discontent, ghettoes, created crack to kill us and outrageous sentencing for for offenders!!! Had a black celebrity used the "N" word for any reason, rap song, joke, conversation, etc., it would be no big deal. Why is America so super-sensitive that the second a white person uses the same word they are crucified? Blacks call whites names. Every culture on earth seems to have some derrogatory word for other cultures but you never hear the commotion raised over any of them. Knock it off America. Get thicker skin. These words will NEVER go away.

Referring to Marine#1 comment(s), apparently you are not educated enough of the history of this word and yes I do agree that we should stop it altogether. However, you cannot comment on a subject that you dont know fully of or understand. This word is negative and brings offense to those directed to. You say that there are soliders in other countries dying, well some of those soliders are Afr. American and would want that word abolished too! Please forgive my position on the topic, but do consider the area and the place you chose to use the langauge, please allow the group of Black people to not be judge by the select few or many, I have lots of white friends and it would hurt me deeply if I thought that they were referring to me in that matter behind my back, be a man or women and confront your fears and speak with that person on that level to ensure your assumptions are correct. Is there a parent out here that has a child that wears there pants down to their knees, then you should blame the penal system not the black community, that was the way prisoners identified other prisoners as property to someone else, not the black community, whites do it to. We choose to judge by the group they represent. People hate Tiger Woods and for what reason I don't know he is one of the most positive Black stars out there, but they still refer to him as the N#$$#$@, on the Tour, See it does'nt matter and for that reason you people need to stop and realize I'm not judging you I simply stating the facts grow up.
