    Thanks for your insightful review. I would just like to suggest one significant edit to your story. In your final paragraph, you substitute the word "aesthetics" for "design". While it may seem like a minor point, the reality is that Lausen's book and the ongoing work of Design for Democracy are expressly NOT about aesthetics, but instead about well-reasoned and well-researched *design* decisions.

    Comment: I don't see anything wrong with the old one. Name is prominent, yes/no is prominent. And not much wasted space. The new design reminds me of some recent news magazine redesigns that are heavy on white space, short on text.
