    A) Pakistan is not an Arab country.
    B) They have nukes and any country facing your so-called annihilation, would be happy to use them to save themselves.
    C) It's people like you that are the cause of the world's problems. You think you are an American because you want to kill everyone in the world that does not share your beliefs? You are the same as the people you want to kill. They want to kill everyone who doesn't think like them.
    D) While Cheney and Bush are constantly trying to lay the groundwork for an attack on Iran, Pakistan has become what Bushies are trying to make Iran out to be. A Military dictator, with nukes, who harbors terrorists.
Iran doesn't look so bad now do they?

" they would be happy to use them" and we need to stop them. before they develop long range capabilities. As mentioned this is a crisis and unfortunately to solve it force must be used. My solution is the only viable option, Remember it is the terrorist who want to kill everyone not me. What is your solution?
You are right Pakistan is not an Arab country, I was just trying to point out that Muslim and Arab countries have people in their governments who are sympathetic to extremist elements around the world. They would not be so sympathetic if the consequences were not in their best interest.

Remember when that evil, commie, LIBERAL Clinton was in the Whitehouse? Gas was $1.12 a gallon, the
twin towers still stood in New York, America had a federal SURPLUS, our President did not try to sell
America's port operations to the Arabs, offshoring American jobs was not encouraged, Saddam Hussien was under control, Protecting the enviornment was actually imporntant, The rich had to pay there fair share in taxes...Are you folks sure you want another Republican President?? williamportor@hotmail.com

williamportor - Remember when Clinton was in office? The first attack on the WTC occurred, the USS Cole was bombed, Somali Islamists dragged mutilated American corpses throught the streets, and Jihadist lunatics were learning how to fly planes in Florida. Clinton was too distracted to see the impending crisis because he was getting head from a fat chick.

I agree with Zekemob's principles, but have reached a differant conclusion. We should have occupied Pakistan after occupying Afghanistan instead of going on a wild goose chase in Iraq. We could've seized most of the Pakistani nukes and wiped out all safe havens for Al-Qaeda. We would also have eliminated the source of the worst nuclear proliferaters in the history of the world. Pakistan has either offered nukes or the technology to build them to Libya, Iran, and North Korea - all under the auspices of Bush's "friend" Musharraf. The Bush administration once admonished Pakistan that "you are either with us or against us." It should be clear by now that Pakistan is against us. The $600 billion dollars we wasted in Iraq would've been better spent cleaning up the terrorist infested pit that is Pakistan. As it stands now, it is just a matter of time before someone in Pakistan a la AQ Kahn gives nuclear material in a gift wrap to the terrorists.

Actually it appears that Musharraf is the only one in this gaggle of morons who recognizes that it will not be long before Pakistan has become another militant Islamic Republic. Perhaps he feels it is best for him to begin now to pave the way for his replacement by the Islamic leaders who are the inevitable result of the feeble-minded policies of Musharraf and his Westen backers. As long as the United States cannot and will not recognize the inevitability of Islamic States in that region and won't forget the high sounding but utterly empty nonsense of establishing democratic values and structures on people who don't understand them, don't want them, know that they would be worse off under them, and will fight to prevent them from being imposed on them, we shall always always lose the hearts and minds of the people. How much better it would be if we bow to the inevitable, bring our uniformed assassins home, let these nations work out their own destiny and work toward establishing mutually beneficial political, military, diplomatic and economic relationships with them. Instead we invade their countries, topple their governments, kill their people, destroy their cities, rape their resources and mock their religion and act surprised that kind of stuff tends to make proud, intelligent, religious people get testy. We reap what we sow. Aid and understanding is the key to our security, not military adventurism and engagement in wars we cannot and never have won. Come home America and tend to your own. Its not easy but we have the total failure of the policy of agression and we can't get any worse with a more tolerant attitude. After all if we can create enemies and we're the best in the world at that, it might also be possible for us to create friends. Even bring back the dozens we have lost in recent years.

EComment: THe U.S needs to clean house. All countries must realize that there are elements within Arab government and in the muslim world that support extremist.. If they faced annihilation they would not support extremism. IF only AMerica finished the job in Afganistan, we wouldn''t even know who Musharaaf was. As a proud America I share your concern for America's safety. I really feel the five breakaway muslim republics in central asia along with extremist elements in Pakistan, Iran, Syria pose a nuclear threat. It is sad that the new generation youth would have no problem dropping a bomb they do not care about the consequences look how they teach their you to committ suicicde. It appears that the enemy is more dedicated to its movement than we are to ours. We need to back are troops and understand that if we do not sacrifice now we will pay a much greater price later. However we should not sacrifice for an uncompleted job, either we go in or we get out this inbetween business and negotiating with dicatators and warlords must stop. The second threat we face is the disaster in Africa.

How sad. America's "ally" once again demonstrates total disregard for all that he declares to be - democratic. Coming one day after 6 American soldiers are ambushed by Taliban in Afghanistan, Musharraf's release of Obaidullah is, in effect, a direct repudiation of the Bush administration's counsel to assure democracy for the people of Pakistan. A recent visit to the Pew website provided an opportunity to examine how people of other countries view America's leadership under the current administration. Why would any foreign leader give much credence to the wishes of an American president whose actions so often fail to align with his rhetoric. It is his failing credibility that, unofrtunately, makes the world an even more dangerous place, more likely to affect a miscalculation on the part of a foreign dictator or despot that believes, to whatever extent,, that current American foreign policy is based more on easily-manipuated expedience than on principle.

Will it go for War against them in its own.. it means cruching not only the talibans but also its own citizens with them... who are living around them aur those who empathize with them....????

Or it will accept the demands of talibans??? tell me guys what US will doo??

Same were the options infront of Musharaf.. he is also fighting against talibans in its own country Pakistan... but sometime HUMAN is so helpless... same was the conditions of Musharaaf... everyone was saying to Musharaf that they want hostages back.... so what should he do?? I think he has done the rite thing...

It is not Musharaaf's duty to ensure the afety of USa at the price of its pown nation??

America never took care o business in Afganistan as a result we have a destabilized region, the has the potential of prducing extremist with nuclear, biological and chemical weapons. After 9/11 we had the world on our side and a chance to eliminate al queda and its leadership. Due to economic and and ignorant leadership we invaded Iraq before eliminating the extremist movement in Afganistan. As a result extremism has grown exponentially like a cancer around the world as a result of Iraq. There is only one solution to this problem and that is to occupy where the terrorist are hiding in Pakistan and Iran, and the five breakaway muslim states from Russia. The occupation must be an internation occupation where the occupying force will begin to implement social change or locals by replacing schools of hate with schools of hope. These schools of a big problem because it is like making a deal with the devil. We are not even touching the head of the snake we are just doig half as** jobs like we did in Afganistan. This is a global crisis the international communit y has to understand that the job must be completed fully. We have to step on peoples toes but we have to do it intelligently not with arrogance and tough talk, but with tough action. People are creating trouble because the consequences are high enough, countries like Pakistan does not need to be lectured or told what to do, what they need is someone to come in and wipe out the extremist and the faction in government that support these extremist . There are entities within all Arab countries that support extremism especially in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, and the 5 breakaway muslim republics from Russia.

Let's be honest. After 9/11 America had the opportunity to get bin laden and completely destroy the Taliban. It was a half ** as** job. As a result the problem spread to Pakistan. America should have finished the job in Afganistan with sufficient troops and then should have invaded Iraq. Unfortunately, economics, greed and ignorance lead an arrogant leadership into a global disaster . America has always known Musaraff is a dictator, and they supported him. There is only one solution, occupy the territories where the extremist dwell, destroy their camps and replace them with camps of hope, where children could learn trades and skills for the well being of their nation. That would be a good way of spending the billions America give to the warlords. Paying off warlords is like making a deal with the devil, it only contributes to the problem.

Grow up, travel, learn about other people. Remeber when this whole WAR on terror started, it was reported, with outrage unlike any directed at the present administration, that fighters from various faction that had been fighting each other just days before were attending a wedding peacefully. It is their culture, their customs, their religions. If we truly believed in democracy, not my way or no way, we would have done some intensive consulting up from. We may have found that another word for terrorist is freedom fighter.

If the people of Pakistan are so stupid to think that the Taliban and other factions representing Islam and Allah are their friends and not criminals, then you are not only stupid but you are drunk with God or drunk with you own Nationalism or both and you chose. I'm sick of people protecting criminals in the name of their "God" or their country.

Do you protect George W. Bush and his hoards of uniformed assassins who have emerged with the highest body count of anyone since Pol Pot? If you protect him certainly anyone can protect anyone they feel needs protection.

Look up the word Fascist in Wikipedia. I think the definition there would fit the right wing of the Republican Party quite well. The Congressional Dems don't want to do anything. They want it to be as bad as possible for voter outrage come 2008. You think this stuff is all on the up and up? Dream on and pass the Kool Aid.

    • Posted By: t9900 @ 11/10/2007 8:48:53 PM

Look up the definition of an ignorant dumbass. You'd fit it perfectly.

Coming one day after 6 American soldiers were killed in a Taliban ambush in Afghanistan, one can only wonder how dependable an ally Pakistan's Musharraf can truly be. This is not the first time this oft-described "ally" has released Taliban hierarchy, nor is it likely to be the last. Sadly, this administration's penchant for error in foreign relations does little to bolster the confidence of many Americans who are, unfortunately, increasingly anxious about events in Iran, Afghanistan, the Middle East as well as Pakistan. If the administration's actions more truly and consistently aligned with its rhetoric of upholding true democratic values, justice, and international law, perhaps perceptions of, and support for, American leadership in global hot spots would enjoy much broader national and international backing.

We gave the Pakistan government, Musharraf, $11 billion over the last 3-4 years and he folds this fast. Where is the outcry in Congress. Why aren't senators from both sides of the isle deploring this? Is it that $11 billion US dollars aren't worth the time to scream an outrage? What did our intelligence know and when?

  • Posted By: MWASEEMT6 @ 11/10/2007 6:36:03 PM

Musharraf is a Terrorist not PAKISTAN and other MUSLIM countries.

PAKISTAN can beat any country in the whole world if someone did something wrong. We can fight with anybody if some try to rule on us.
