" I wouldn't lose any sleep over going back there and getting rid of the terrorists who tried to kill me."

I do not get her point, they are not terrorists, she went into their country, her people slaughtered families, with their guns, f-16's

    is she that ignorante?

Thank you so much for your service and sacrifice... I'm a 24 year Army veteran and presently in Iraq for the 3rd time... It's Soldiers like you that motivate me to remain a Soldier and to continue the work we have started in this country. I recently wrote an article for the Stars and Stripes inspired by Soldiers exactly like you who have given so much in the service of our country... You can locate it through any search engine by typing in Gerald T. Peil... Thanks again so much and I wish you the very best... SGM Peil

Marissa, Thank you for sharing your experience. It's people like you who inspire others to keep going even when faced with a life altering event. After reading this I was moved to send you a bit of information about my 22 year old son, Colt. He has been a parapalegic since being injured in a hunting accident at the age of 14. Although losing the use of his legs, he was spared the use of his arms which have been his saving grace. Like you, he has chosen to turn the tragic event into a very positive and active life. He has become a National Wheelchair Bodybuilder , winning many titles, and has been featured in Muscle and Fitness Magazine last fall. I plan to print the Newsweek article for him and am also sending you information on Colt. Perhaps the two of you may have a good bit in common. Thanks you again for the

service and scarifices you made for our country. Cindy, (Colt's email ) slyjones45@hotmail.com
he may also be seen online at coltwynn.com

I have a brother in northern Iraq right now. It's his second time going over seas. He has had 2 concussions from IED's and recieved a purple heart. Let's hope thats all that happens to him while he's over there. We need our troops home as soon as we can get them here so nothing like this (my short story and your story) happens to anyone else. Keep your head up and keep pushing on. You're amazing and wonderful. Thank you for your story.

Your story is inspiring. You are proof to our enemies that regardless of what they may send us, the American spirit cannot be defeated. Regardless of where we stand politically, we are united in our stand for freedom and liberty. I pray my children will never have to go to war, but if they do, I hope they and myself will have the courage and strength that you have exhibited. God bless you and our great Country. Angel

I love the fact that even though you have gone through this horrific experiance, you will not let it define who you are. You are moving ahead and growing. I for myself am proud that we have individuals like you who have put themselves on the line for our country. You have the sense to see the total picture but still did your duty. I hope that you suceed and fullfil your dreams. God bless you and all that have served with you.

Marrisa, you are an amazing woman. I just love your attitude. I feel your place on earth can not be replaced. I lost my sixteen year old son in an auto accident and feel the same energy you have. My wife could not handle our lost and filed for a divorce. I know God has a reason to do what he does and no one can question his will. Keep up your wonderful attitude and spirit. I know you will make some lucky guy a wonderful wife. I envy that part. God Bless You and keep you happy. Alex

Marissa,Thank you for serving in Iraq. I am sorry to hear of your loss of Staff Sgt Steven Reynolds and Spc. Marc A. Delgado. I'm sorry to hear that some of your nurses were not so kind and I pray they will learn valuable bedside manners as they care for others as you let us know of this mistreatment. That is the only way they will learn. May God bless you when you rejoin with the rest of your unit. I believe you are going to be a wonderful Parole Officer. We need you. You are an inspiration and a role model for our young and old to look up to. I thank God that the terrorist who tried to kill you did not succeed. God is with you. I love you and send a big hug to you. I will remember what you have done for our country ,what you gave is so appreciated,Thank you. A job well done! Love Linda and Bruce

I don't know you and yet I am very proud of you! I pray for you and your renewed look on life. You are an amazing young lady and definitely a symbol of what America really is. Someone who fought for our country, was wounded, and willing to fight again. Your fight now isn't with a weapon of death, but a weapon of words. Tell your story brave Marissa and God bless you.

God Bless you and all of the other men and women who are/have served in Iraq. I lost 2 cousins who were brothers in Korea. They were 17 and 18 y/o. You're too young to remember the war that was only a 'conflict.'

I truly admire your determination! Through all your trials and obstacle you have prevailed! I admire you in the fact that you inspire others through the fact that you are a survivor and not a "victim." I pray for all your success in future endeavours!
