I truly love your determination! Life has a way of working itself out. Your desire to continue on with life and to honor your men in such a way of making yourself a survivor and not a victim inspires a world of "victims." I pray that happiness continues to lead your path through life. I wish you all the best in all your dreams!

Marissa, God Bless you for serving in Iraq . Praise God you came home and to be able to tell your story and the goals you have set for yourself. You will be a terrific Parole Officer. I am very sorry about the loss of Staff Sgt Steven Reynolds and Spc.Marc A.Delgado. I will pray for you and all the Soldiers serving today in both countries. Keep up the good work on getting better and going to be there for your unit. You are a definite inspiration to everyone and thank God the terrorist who tried to kill you did not succeed. I send a big hug to you and my prayers. Thank you again.

Marissa - My military career, as well as many others, started and ended long before the current wars. I hope that some of what you have started through your bravery in combat and through the press will leak backwards into the other disabled vets too. You and many of your friends survived what many of my friends didn't due to the better use of body armor, so your generation will see many improvements in recovery that do bleed into the civilian population for similar situations. You have the wonderful determination and drive that will be your friend throughout your life, which will no doubt be a very productive one. The things that you seek will come you way because you will make them happen. The very best of life, and Godspeed to you and yours. - tennmcclain@juno.com

I agree that we need to do everything we can for our soldiers. I also believe that if the liberal media spent as much time and energy trying to help instead of breeding hatred for our government things would be a lot better.

This heroic young woman did not try to avoid deployment when we (the USA) asked her to go to Iraq and life and limb. Iam not in favor of this war nor was I a supporter of the Viet Nam war. But I hope we have learned our lesson on how to treat those we send in harms way. This woman and the many men and women like her, wounded physically or mentally, deserve the best possible care this country can provide. If you have a problem with the war take it out on the politicians not the young men and women send to Iraq by our government. They are doing the job others, including some of those who sent them, would not do.

Three cheers for Marissa Strock and thank you for your sacrific. You make me proud to be an American. If I can help you in any way please let me know.

I fully agree that we need to do everything we can for our soldiers. I also believe that if the liberal reporters writing this stuff would spend some of their time trying to help instead of breeding hatred for our government things would be a lot better.

Marissa, thank you so much for your dedication and your service in the US Army. My father served for 15 years and we lived in Germany when I was growing up because my dad was stationed on base there, near Frankfort. I have nothing but total respect for the Army, and I am so proud of our soldiers who are stationed wherever they are, serving our country with dignity and honor. They only deserve our upmost respect and the best treatment possible. I agree with you; our country needs to do right by our veterans and those injured in war. I would love the opportunity to serve, but I was rejected since I am a juvenile diabetic. There are others ways for me to help serve, however, and I believe we should all do our part. Thank you for your service and good luck with all your endeavors in life. We're all rooting for you!

    Marissa,
I believe that the warrior spirt is alive and well in you. The dedication and the bond to your fellow soldiers is something most Americans can never experience. They will read your story and I hope begin to understand and look at the life of a soldier a little differently. I think that Staff Sgt. Steven Reynolds and Spc. Marc A. Delgado are proud of you too for you will alway remember them. May God grant you peace and joy in your life. I Thank You for your service because without people like you we loose focus on the life of an American Soldier.
    Sincerely,
    Harry Sherrill

Dear Marissa, You are so very brave to keep going. I contemplate suicide everyday , for my heart cannot take the pain of losing friends in 9/11, losing many friends in the war you so bravely continue to fight, losing 2 fiancesin two wars, my life to a parachute accident in the Navy and gettiing no help from the VA am now a cripple. I also fouight a horrible war of sexual harassment for 25 years in the military. My war will continue until I die. Be brave, don't be afraid to talk to those who can truly help you get through this or you will become an emotional vegetable like me. You are amazing. Thank you so so very much for your brave service., rlbsincity@embarpmail.com

Marissa, I an a Registered nurse, have worked ER and ICU for 28 years. I am so sorry your nurses were not up to par, they should be ashamed of them selves. I currently work in a Wound care center, I needed a break from the stress of such a high pressured job and you see people at their best and worse but that doesn't mean not to treat some one like you want your family treated. that has always been my goal as a nurse. I wish you the most happiness with your life and most of all thank you for giving so very much for your country. If I could I would give you a big hug. God Bless America
