We are in big trouble extremist and children of moderates all around the world are being seduced by the chapter of JIHAD. If you look at the Madrassa's they are brainwashing futre genereations in that region with the chapter of JIHAD. IT is like subliminal indoctrination. This is very dangerous. THEY ARE TEACHING THE CHILDREN TO FIGHT JIHAD FOR one hundred years. Obama is the only candidate that can change antiamericanism in that region. It just feels right voting for OBAMA

    >>> Evan !!! I dont know what is this article about ... you knowing Pinky from your days at Harvard ? or what else ? You are a big shot jounalist on Newsweek and she is the most corrupt leader in the world. Let me give you an idea here to get even with her ... do some investigative reporting and write a detailed article about her corruption and all the money she funneled out of Pakistan she could snip while she was in government. I truly believe that if you cant do this, then you dont know your Pinky. But if you do this, then you can return her glare and tell her next time you run into her its time she is cut off the politics too.

Her failure as prime minister twice is quite obvious to all and that is the reason now she is accompanying the most corrupt officers and feudal lords for her support. She belongs to those class of country whom always want power restrained in their home on all costs. No principles, no boundaries are marked in their way. In this class, they raised their kids as future ruler of Pakistan and that is the reason she is back. She also wants that her new generation would also get some practical training for future primereship. Second most important thing is her economic greed because as per her past experiences she knows very well that she can multiply her wealth in days by coming into power. The another worst aspect of our mafia leaders is that they never forget those who ever dare to criticise them or pinpoint their mistakes in policies. All leaders including our general claim that they want domocracy but in reality their social and political life is lack of such norms.

Maybe this story is significant. Or maybe it reflects human nature. When I know someone superficially, I remember them by the highlight of our encounter(s). Perhaps Pinky didn't remember anything else about the author except that Evan sacked her without giving her a reason or an opportunity to defend herself.

I guess she still has that sense of entitlement that she had back in 1972. Looking forward to seeing her elected on no merit and then running the country into the ground.

    Dear Mr Evan Thomas

I read your piece about Benazir Bhutto. She came from a typical toady family of collaborators of united India. We see these characters everyday. They have inferiority complexes beyond imagination. Some times viciousness runs in the family. Her father Z A Bhutto put all his friends in prison when he was in power apart from one Umar Qureshi. I am glad you are not Pakistani otherwise you might have spent some time in prison. The feudal mentality is the major problem that democracy couldn???t flourish in Pakistan.

    Regards

    Dr Shahid Qureshi

When are US troops arriving in Pakistan to save Democracy and Benazir Bhutto ?
    Sooner the better.
Otherwise 9/11 backer Pervez Musharraf would become as costly as Saddam Husein.

WHAT IS THE SWIFT BOATING OF BHUTTO all about. Are we willing to look the other way when a dicator empowered with our tax dollars allows the taliban/al queda group responsible for 9/11 to take over a popular Valley on top of free reign in Waristan and attacks democratic groups? This is not about the war on terror, this is about using the war on terror to entrench power. Saddam took out all liberal and professional groups except the mosque. Are we willing to allow another country to go the same route.
