I think this message board is proof of the divisiveness of Hillary Clinton. She is the wrong candidate for the Democratic Party to choose. People are either completely devoted to her and think she can do no wrong or they think that she is the devil incarnate. How can we get anything done or heal the wounds that afflict this country with a president who is this polarizing? This is the biggest reason that I am an Obama supporter. I would encourage everyone (Independents, Republicans and Democrats alike)to find out more about him. Also, to all of the women who simply want a woman in the White House: I am a 28 year old woman and I don???t believe you should vote for someone purely because they are the same gender as you. It would be great to elect the first woman president- one who did not ride the wave of her husband. (By the way, Barack Obama has been in public office longer than Hillary Clinton).
I don't think a woman should be President. Now don't get mad, because I am a woman, which is why I know that women are too emotionally charged, and I think that is why she is 'cold' and incredibly rehearsed when she is on television. She is trying so hard to show that she is a tough woman that doesn't have any empathy or love in her heart, that she is coming off as a cold dominant person.
The reason the common people like George Bush is because he is familiar. You know he is smart, but you also feel like you could sit down and have a beer with him and maybe even shoot some pool. Americans identify to that.
I don't know what "common people" you are referring to that "like" Bush???? He is disliked by over 74% of the common people. And as for sitting down with him to talk and have a beer......it would be like trying to have a conversation with a little chimp trying hard to be "Daddy's Big Boy"
Acting tough and the wisdom of fear.
If you are not troubled by Hillary???s reaction to the unveiling of her double nature then you are deluding yourself.
Ok! We would all like to vote for Obama but are scared of BIG Daddy republican.
But there are other alternatives, don???t be fooled in to a false choice. Edward is a good choice, if your conscience cannot allow you to vote for Hillary and your fear of republican reaction cannot allow you to vote for Obama.
Are we an alternative to them, if we are so frighten by their behaviour that we rather vote for someone like them instead of someone who champion our ideals.
We tried to vote for the tough idiot who thinks and acts like Binladin, what did it get us?
If we are going to lose which we will, if we vote for Hillary. Lets us lose being who we are, instead of charlatans trying to out-hawking the hawks.
Just as Hillary cannot be more black then Obama, even if she (patronisingly) tries to muddle here grammar in front of black audience (massage Ebonics is OK).
We cannot be an alternative, if we are the other-republican party and indeed it is not a democracy if you are afraid to stand for your ideals for fear of loosing votes.
Please stop settling for what the cynics say that we have to settle to win, because, her name only, would galvanize the republicans that she so desperately emulates.
Mark my words Hillary will starts wars she will not end them, this is a little girl acting tough.
And the people who act what they are not tend to exaggerate their performance.
HC is not smarter or more credible and least experianced, notwithstanding physically being in the WhiteHouse than any other. She lies, plays manipualtive games, convinces the public she is warm and loving. Does not prove she has what it takes to lead a country, It is high time she realized that. I would be embarressed if I were her.
Most actoions by HC have convinced me that she is controlling and conniving...but not smart. I also believe that she is one of the LEAST qualified for that office, of both parties. A vote for HC in the primaries is akin to a vote for Republicans in Nov-2008. Her record of 2-3 positions on each issue, and constant flip-flopping will generate a landslide loss.
I do not understand why HC is considered any smarter than anone else in either party. And I believe that she is one of the LEAST qualified. Voting for HC is akin to a vote for the republicans in 2008.
My blood runs ice cold when I look at her. But it is funny to see the Democrats and media scrapping at each other now that their common enemy (George Bush) is irrelevant in this election.
ICE COLD? Really? I doubt it. Your blood may be ice cold if you are that full of hate. Lighten up. You will live longer.
It's my blood. I will adjust it's temperature as I see fit. And I certainly don't hate HC. I honestly can't say I like her much, though. Let me know how your tendency to tell other people how to live their life works out for you.
Thanks for asking. It works out well as I have many friends who turn to me when they are down and out, need to see that the glass is half full, not empty. When you carry this kind of resentment and anger it only hurts you and your health. I think there are alot of very unhealthy Republicans out there.I dislike George Bush more than any human I can think of but I do not let anyone turn my blood cold. Ask any doctor if I am wrong. It amazes me that the so called Religious people or holier than thou conservatives are the people who have the least tolerance for anyone who is unlike them. That is the opposite of what Jesus wanted.
It's my blood, I'll adjust the temperature as I see fit. And I don't hate HC, but neither can I say I especially admire or trust her. And let me know how your tendency to tell other people how to run their life works out for you.
Speaking of "Whitewater" has everybody forgot Vince Foster? He was the one who committed suicide, A 45 to the BACK of the head and was found with a 38 in his hand. Well ask Hillary for "the rest of the story", bet she'll do her cackle!

Nice attempt to prop up your girl, Howard, by making it seem like this cold calculating pol is a victim once again, this time of her own intelligence and need to please (control). It;s incredibly transparent but once again proves that you libs don't think the rest of us are smart enough to see through your attempts to fool us. Wrong again.
This is why Hillary Clinton will not be the President: She trips herself up. I think she will be nominated simply because the other two Democratic front-runners just can't seem to muster enough passion from the electorate to push past her. But in a general election campaign against an experienced and prepared debater like Rudy Guiliani, he will sink her (or she will sink herself).
She WILL be president
Oh, I get it. If you capitalize "WILL," that makes it so, right? Did Hillary tell you to write that?
Rudy Guiiani was a Federal Prosecuter and in a debate will eat Hillarys lunch. If it were not for Bill Hillary wouldnt even be running for President she would be teaching law at some radical left wing college.
Oh, I get it! If you capitalize "will" inappropriately, it mean she wins. Did Hillary tell you to write that?
A fine piece of writing. It captures the Hillary Clinton I have seen at work over the years. The Health care plan was the epitome of the HRC style but I saw it on her School-to-Work Act initiative. It succeeded in getting passed bult ultimately failed because it was full of self contradictions and unrelaistic expectations put there in an effort to satisfy everyone and control everything.
This is a fine bit of writing. It captures the Hilary Clinton that I have known over the years in Washington. Her Health care plan epitomized the need to be everything to everyone. But a lesser known initiative was just as telling. The School-to-Work Act, one of Hillary's project, was an early legislative success of the Clinton administration but also one of its major failures because it tried to control everything and satisfy everyone.
Sen. Clinton's handlers plant a question in the crowd and not one of her staff loses their job? That's not how it worked out for those silly and misguided FEMA folks during the California fire. They put up a fake news conference and heads rolled. We use to call that accountability. Mayhaps some still do.
There is no doubt that I am a conservative but I don't know that I blame Sen. Clinton's group for doing what they did. I can see how they may want to be able to highlight Sen. Clinton's stronger political attributes. That being said, once the scam was discovered, somebody within the campaign staff should have be released.
No accountability.
Isn't that sort of the difficulty with our fellow Americans to the far left of the politcal spectrum? Replacing accountability with some sort of story that the wrongful person is simply a victim of some sort? Excusing unlawful or dishonest behavior is distructive to our society.
I don't know that I find much in common with any of the current group of Democrat presidential hopefuls but I do think each of them is interested in the good of our country (well....Dennis is a little odd and may not know the difference) but it would be foolish to try and spin any one of them as anything less than a patriot.
Honesty...now that is something to hang your hat on and I have a real concern about the honesty of Sen. Clinton. I can't say as I give much weight to the "Bush is a liar" angle of attack but if you're honestly concerned, as a liberal, about the honestly of President Bush, wouldn't it be a bit inconsistant to vote for Sen. Clinton?
"No accountability"
It is amazing to me how anyone who voted Republican in any of the recent elections can say that about Hillary. Until the Democrats took over congress, there was NO ACCOUNTABILITY anywhere in the rebulican runned (ruined?) government.

In reply to meganlauriana- If you had a daughter, would you tell her that she couldn't be president, CEO or that she couldn't handle any high level job because women are too emotional. Quit selling women short.
In other words, if you had a daughter, you would tell her that she couldn't be president, CEO, or she couldn't handle any other powerful job because she would be too emotional. I would love to hear that conversation. My advice to you - quit selling women short!
What a terrible article. Fineman basically normalizes everything about Hillary, insisting that all of the unethical things she has done or supported are merely an extension of her propensity towards being a "control freak."
No, Howard. Wrong. Her desire to control things is an aspect of her personality that neither explains nor justifies her essentially lawless nature. You need to be a little more honest with the readers, and maybe yourself, when you write.
How Hillary Clinton can say "got ya' to Tim Russart with a straight face is amazing considering the 'get ya's' her campaign is waging against her own party's candidates. She is in trouble if she does'nt start answering straight forward questions soon because the general election candidate will crush her long before the dems.figure out who the back-up to her is going to be.......
This type of thing is routinely done. Heck, JEB even got advanced review of the questions that were to be asked in one of his debates. It was foolish of Hillery's staff to be so transparent and obvious.(They were caught). But, all of the psycho-bable?! Come on Howard. GW did the same thing and did not even become "evening news" material. No one even blinked when the damning question about McCain was asked at one of Bush's speeches. Why was the question not asked of McCain? Poorly handled by Hillery's staff, but for routine politics, things are obviously different for Dems than for Repubs.
For example, had Hillery engaged in "planting" to destroy the character of either or both Obama and Edwards, she would have been a "control freak" like GW. I do not recall you saying the same about Bush, Rove and crew.
I agree that Hillery is to be condemned for such conduct because it is dishonest, at the very least. But lets cut-out the sanctimonious psycobable.
