I've seen Hillary's warm side come across during this campaign. I felt she was quite sincere in her exchange with Melissa Ethridge at the LOGO debate and also at a CNN forum on faith and politics. Personally, I don't see her as the Godzilla everyone else does. I like her and at this point I plan to vote for her.

Nice damage control Howie . I hope you can play Bill Moyers to her LBJ. Can you keep a straight face better than Bill ?

Thanks for your insight. She is going to surprise us on thursday night, she will come out fighting hard during that debate,it was good for her to be on her heels, this is not a coronation , it is a dog fight. Edwards had his chance lest he forgets it was Kerry/Edwards that lost in 2004. Why didnt he campaign like this in 2004 we dont give second chances in the Democratic party,he should have had that $400 hair cut in New Orleans Barbershop and took all the proceeds of his hedgefunds and start building homes in Ward 9 ,who is he fooling .I think Obama has more experience than him. My question for America "are we ready for a black man"? if the answer is yes "Go Obama" but that question can only be answered behind the Poll curtains and then it is a different story. Go after Edwards,Hillary and ask him 'How come you lost the 2004 election and why all this ideas he has now was not appealing the first time around. I rather trust my mom who bakes cookies and controls the house budget ,knows about her kids healthcare and education than my dad who is a Trial lawyer and he is never home has lots of money but doesnt know the cost of milk and bread and never been to the grocery store. Hillary i rather have the 90's back than what I have now November 1994 gas was $1.74 alas November 2007 Gas is $3.15, It is the Economy Stupid

Telling someone like HIllary Clinton to lighten up is a contradiction in terms; she would only do it as a tactic, not unlike Al Gore, and it won't work for her either. Whatever his limitations, Barack Obama knows and is comfortable with who he is, grows daily in both his ability to understand and communicate with the electorate, and provides the opportunity to avoid the bloodbath that would be a Clinton-Guiliani race. candidate

A clairvoyant piece of journalism - particularly the last 5 words! :-)

Hilary is just too scripted. Shee needs to shoot from the hip a bit more. Oh yes, and Bill has to shut up. He isnt helping.

I'm a Hillary fan and will vote for her but the disappointment I feel is based on the missteps that are being made by her campaign people. I agree with Mr. Fineman, that there was never a reason for the campaign to insert "safe" questions. It is just frustrating when the campaign "kills" the candidate with clearly stupid games. My faith in Hillary is that she can solve the big issues we have in this country and she can set the country a path that will encourage other countries to work with us, rather then hate us. Her experience provides me with security where Obama's inexperience frightens me. He's a good man but it's not his time. So, my advice is simple, Hillary get your campaign in gear and start giving a little of the heat back to all your critics.

I think Mr. Fineman has hit the nail on the head with his enlightening and interesting analysis

Good Article. I've been saying for years that Hilliary is not qualified to be President. All the narrow minded feminazi's out there say that my comments are sexist but the truth is that her being a women has nothing to do with her being unqualified. The person we elect to be President should be a leader and not a follower. This person should have been a mayor, governor or a senator for a lot longer than three years. Most people's response to my arguement is that she spent 8 years in the white house with Bill. Well so what, so did the janitorial staff and no one's pushing them to be elected. This country needs to return to strong values and integrity in government and business. I do not think that she is the right person for the job.
