Thank you for your brave and courageous stand in telling the truth about what is going on in this country...unfortunately, it doesn't seem there is any way to stop this descent into total chaos...which we have fostered already over there, but it will get here as well, and it won't take long...spend an hour in one of today's college classrooms, and you will share my apocalyptic vision...this culture has already died, we are only living on in the matrix, just an illusion of a society...

America has no culture America has many different cutlures. That was a main reason why America was created. Do you only look at classes you are apart of?

It is my hope and prayer that G.W. Bush and his neo-con buddies will be held accountible for the death and destruction they have brought to bear on this country and the world. They are war criminals and should be tried in a court of law. Hitler committed suicide and saved himself from trial and the death penalty. Bush cannot admit to any mistakes and therefore cannot be counted on to do the same.

being non-american I find this war on terror is both sad and ironic, and that the american people are being manipulated into the war by using their patriotism and support for their own soldiers; sad, because as several americans I've had contact with are against the war but feel required by their government and patriotism to support its troops, and ironic, because as we know now every single excuse used to promote it is exactly the opposite for what the US stands for, democracy (installing regimes in afghanistan and irak), truth (WMD's) liberty (guantanamo, abu grahib), it now seems that the american people are the ones in need of rescue from their own government.

George W Bush has no sense of shame because he is convinced that he is doing God's work on earth and still retains the mandate of heaven that manifested itself when he took office. The delusional nature of his world-view truly knows no bounds. HIs last words on his deathbed will be "I was right, and that's history will judge me." If he ever admitted anything to the contrary, even to himself, he would decompensate into oblivion.

Roughly one-third of this country supports this war. I have spoken with several of them over the past few years and I can assure you that they feel no guilt or shame whatsoever about the Iraq War. For them there are no limits on lives, money, or time for this war; if allowed they will happily spend tens of thousands of American lives, trillions of dollars, and decades of our effort. They have absolutely no interest in Head Start, teachers, or health insurance for the poor. They pay lip service to helping victims of Katrina, but they don't back it with action. They underfund the VA. They are not concerned with America's lost reputation and influence in the world; to them it is better to be hated and feared than liked and trusted. They are ready and willing for the next war with Iran. Guilt and shame? Mr. Dickey, you are not being realistic.
