    Good Lord, people, this article is from Nov 15, 2007!!!! Many of these things have since been explained differently. Lumumba was found to not even have been involved. The video supposedly of Knox proved to be someone else. The knife of Solcecito's is a pen knife!!! Another man has been convicted of the murder. Etc. Yeesh! What does that say about the hearsay that has gone on in this trial? Personally, I don't think there is enough evidence beyond a reasonable degree to convict Knox or her boyfriend, everything has been so messed with.

    It's not my American pride I am defending here. I read a lot of articles condemming Amanda Knox but not many about the Italian boyfriend or the African bar manager or the other African male. Amanda is being labeled guilty before a trial - in fact before any facts are presented in a trial. The Italian police are leaking information constantly (such as the crime scene photo) which is causing the Italian and English press to paint the picture of Amanda being guilty. What kind of justice is that for anyone? It is no justice for Meredith or Amanda. What about this creepy Italian boyfriend? It was his knife of his father's knife if we are to believe the police leaks. It was one of the African males who sexually assaulted Meredith if we are to believe the police leaks. I have not read anywhere that Amanda Knox confessed to killing Meredith. I think the focus for the killer should be on one of the three males involved (that we know so far). Just because Amanda's blood is found in her bathroom - a bathroom she uses on a daily basis does not mean she was the killer. Women do get their periods. Periods do involve blood. That could explain that. Of course I do not know the nature of the print , where it was found etc.. I would ask that people should not be quick to judge before all of the information is out. When it is the Italian police leaking crime scene photographs and other evidence to the press, I can only assume that the Italian police, government, etc are trying to paint a picture of a gulty Amanda and that is lt. Let's all forget about all the other parties involved and just skip a trial - which is where facts are supposed to be presented. That is not justice for Meredith, but it may be mob-style justice against Amanda.

      Yep,yep,yep, it IS your blinding chauvinism talking again. For the record, the " African " bar manager had nothing to do with it. But this all-white, all-rich,all-wasp slut Amanda Knox accused him whereas he had done nothing. Police officers didn't find a simple proof against him while proofs against Amanda Knox are legion. It is not because one is American that he or she has all rights around the world .

    It's sad how people "let loose" in such horrible ways. Although I am not accusing any of the individuals discussed in the story, there are countless of other crimes otherwise "normal" students commit while in foreign countries. If she is responsible, then I hope "life imitates art" is not their insanity defense because the sorts of drugs required to absolutely lose control would clearly demand endless criminal charges.

      First Knox said she wasn't there, then she said she was there, finally she said she wasn't there but was high on drugs at her boyfriends apartment. Enough said, she's guilty. She will have a lot of time in prison to study her Italian. Stupid, ignorant, low life, pond scum that she is. If she's lucky, maybe someone in prison will play the same game were she becomes the victim!

    How on earth the supposed tomorrow future can committed such a heinous crime? There's no doubt, they are all under the influence of some kind of drugs. Their parents cannot say that they are not aware of their child drug us! Until parents can be held accountable for their children crimes, waves of crime of such magnitude will continues. Did any of these kids learn anything??? Their future is at risk due to risky behaviors ...orgy sex topmost, HIV infected, and the lure of ...wanted to be accepted by their peers! What a wasted generation??? Hollywood must share the blame of serious crimes been committed by young one that thought ...Those movies ladden with crimes are mistaken to be FUN!!! or are acceptable way of live? There's so much bad, bad, bad influence on american screen!!!

      The same thing could have been said during the time of the boomers with the free love and "what about me" attitude, or the Gen-Xers with the "undying suffering" and apathy, besides both of those generations generate what is in movie and TV.     I think we are seeing the proverbial "we are absolute on who did it,we KNOW who did it" w/o disclosing the full investigation or making sure ALL the evidence has been investigated and has NOT been contaminated or tampered with, just to "get a conviction". Brings back memories of the scenes from the movie "Fugitive", where the Police "KNOW" who / where the guilt lies(w/o proof)...even when there is "evidence" that has been ignored,or has been twisted. Sounds like a witch hunt for the American girl.

    Kids???? These weren't kids. These were adults and you're making a pretty big stretch to assume the parents were at fault. Also, when you're talking about the American scene, you take the bad with the good. They weren't in America at the time and who knows what or where or how they were influenced? You mention yourself they must have been under the influence of drugs and I'm sure America is not the only country with a drug problem. Stop playing the blame game and take a look around. Find solutions instead of expressing "outrage." What a "waste" of time!!!!!!!!!!!

    with this happening the way that it did, and in the head Christian World, I hope that many people learn alot from this. Color was not an issue at all here. There are many people from african coutnries that have lived in Italy for years and have lived there with their neighbors in peace. Right now, stereotyping only clouds the issure. However, I do know that there are strict laws for the citizens adn worse for the non citizens. And I cant see how anyone who happens to not be a native of that country woudl ever feel comfortable enough to just not give a crap about how harsh the laws are for even stealing a stick of gum when they are not from that country. If you people have forgotten, there are organized crime bosses that are native to the country that just seem to find a niche for over riding the law at times especially if you owe them money......

    London22 If you only knew that you share the same human DNA with us Americans(two arms, two legs and two eyes) you wouldn't be so hard on others regardless as to their birth place and time line.

    Comment to London22, If you truly have a DNA profile then you would already know that ppl do not ask to be born in a specific Country nor Time line. Why don't you put a stop to it and come rescue us? I assume you are willing to bed us ALL up until we take your jobs and public services so we can get out on our own two feet in your Country.     To Italians: Columbus was a racist murderer, slave trader and infector of disease, so you are not exempt from terrible happenings. May we not forget mousellini, sorry for the spelling....Europeans are some of the most racist people in the world....It's even been documented on the global stage.....it seems that European soccer fans can't keep from shouting out racial slurs and holding up racial signage during matches...ask Henry about that....can I also mention that europeans hav e commited genocide on the most atrocious levels via hitler and the recent conflict of the 90's where countless thousands were slaughtered. The EU sat by and did nothing, as the Americans were proactive in coming to the aid of millions.....everyone is so quick to judge and place blame...we all have a history of violence that can only be described as human nature and not a result of race....get a clue people...and remember one fact that will remain unchanged, a studious young women is dead, and she will never come home...
