There is alot about this story that is not being revealed.

One thing for sure, Sollecito's Facebook tells you where this Whole scene came from. He is a major instigator and sadly coersed others.
Maybe, if Knox had more American arrogance and dumped Sollecito before now, things would have never come to this point and this event would have never happened. Unfortunately, she did not grow up with a strong father to develop a sense of what a bad man is and how to immediatly distance herself from him.

Do any of us truly know what others are capable of under different circumstances than we know them.

The true tragedy is the death of a young woman and the lives of those who have been accused of being involved - nothing will be the same of any of them nor of their families. Colour, race, religion, creed none of these truly matter...it's simply what horrors are in your minds and hearts.....or can you control the beast within each of us...this is what is suppose to help us to rise above lower animals..............................................but sometimes I wonder....an animal kills for food........now we seem to kill for joy, or because we are bored, or thrills......how evil have we become

I BELIEVE AND WOULD ALMOST SWEAR ON A STACK OF BIBLES THAT KNOX IS A SICK, TWISTED, JEALOUS B**** FOR ARRANGING SUCH AN UNIMAGINABLE CRIME.. HER AND HER 3 ACCOMPLICES SHOULD NOT ONLY BE JAILED BUT PUNISHED BRUTUALLY FOR THERE ACTIONS... ALL FOR SEX... COME ON PEOPLE THATS JUST SICK FIGHT THE TEMPTATIONS OF YOUR FLESH. THEY NEED TO FIND GOD AND REPENT FOR THE HANUS CRIME THEY'VE COMMITTED IM ONLY A FEW YEARS OLDER THEN THIS VICTIM THATS NOT ONLY A SCARY THOUGHT ITS PETRIFING!!! THATS SO UNBELIEVABLE LIKE A SCENE OUT A SCARY MOVIE. HOW CAN THEY GET PLEASURE OUT OF SOMETHING SO SICK AND TWISTED... KNOX HAS GOT TO BE TOTALLY DEMONIC.

yeah... poor poor children, who probably watched too too much cable (reminder, we don't know what happened yet! even if you think we do, we don't!). i have an idea. stop reading so many blogs and do something to change the so-called "SICK TWISTED" world. and if anyone posting here has truly found God, then stop waisting your time "talking" about people who "should" repent, and go out be a "fisher of men". fishing in a blog will get you bottom feeders in this particular scenario/posting. oh my goodness, somehow even i'm now entrapped in this stupid blog and i was only reading a news report. last post, i hope (for my sake). i suppose i did get "fished" in. i'm an idiot. don't get me wrong... i appreciate blogs, but this one is painfully pedestrian.

first of all stop using all caps... it hurts my eyes... and, it proves the point that these kinds of crimes (and any crime for that matter) can spark immediate outrage and many other emotions even though all of the facts are not yet in. secondly, the media, as usual, can be partially blamed for this intense attack/counterattack dialogue (because, among other things, they have, for sensationalistic purposes, published graphic images of the crime scene). finanlly, i grow tired of "God" being brought into the issue. we have all seen that even the "ultra religious" will commit insane crimes and use religion itself as an excuse.

      • Posted By: froggie3t @ 11/16/2007 4:49:38 PM

WHO HONESTLY CARES WHETHER YOUR EYES ARE HURTING...REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE MEDIA PLAYED ITS PART THESE "PEOPLE " DESERVE WHATEVER THEY GET. NO NOT ALL THE INFORMATION IS IN BUT WHAT IS IN SAYS ALOT. WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT GOD IS IN THE ISSUE AND YOU SERIOUSLY NEED PRAYED FOR.

Dra20...might point is proven by the post of kickone. If you read the post......"...suffering at the hands of animals...... all of them, not just the african". This post clearly applies his or her position as: 1.) either correcting people who labeled only the african as barbaric and animalistic or 2.) that the other two have lower theirselves to the animal level of the african. I personally think that "kickone" is trying to express the former, but there are those who believe the latter. This is the world in which we live

    • Posted By: Ddra20 @ 11/16/2007 4:47:02 PM

regali185, case in point on your last comment. These generalizations and so called self "truths" have taken us so far away from rationality and compassion that we no longer recognize integrity and humanity. These visions of granduer allows people to decide not only who's right and who's wrong, but who is human and who is not. That was the original point. We are talking about a human, a girl, someone's child and we still have people actually focusing not on the loss of life, but the implied behavioural tendancies of the perpetrator. Either way, people who could execute such crimes against humanity, should pay, regardless of race.

  • Posted By: divamoff @ 11/16/2007 4:46:51 PM

I think we all need to remember that someone was brutally murdered. This has nothing to do with ethnicity, country of origin, or anything else. It has to do with three human beings taking the life of another, in a way that NO ONE should be forced to die. Illegal or legal immigration issues notwithstanding, this case has to be addressed without racial bias and WITH the facts only. And the facts are what I already stated: a girl died violently in the process of being sexually assaulted. Whomever does something like this - wherever they may be from - should suffer the consequences.

The age of people being nationalistic has long passed since the colonial powers invaded countries and through the use of their might (fire power) raped the land and its people. I believe the fair people of the world understand that there is an inequitable distribution of the world's wealth resulting for these former practices and that is one reason for migration to other lands. Educated people also understand that above all, what is common in people is the need to be respected and that there is richness that can be derived from shared cultures. It is unfortunate for this young lady and her family that she had to cross paths with these evil spirits. To think of race and or nationality in a moment like this is rather primitive. If anything, what people should see is that no race, creed and/or culture are immune from its evil. My prays go to the family of Meredith!!

Shut up about americans, your all bashing each other here and for what? NOTHING!. This poor girl was MURDERED, she went through 2 hours of ungoddly pain, and your setting here argueing about race. what where u doing while she was laying in a pool of blood wishing someone would find her? probably argueing with someone else. just stop the nonsence. there might be someone near that needs you right now... my simpathies go to her relatives and friends who have lost someone dear to them. i apologize that no one help her in her hours of agony.

  • Posted By: agedanddecrepit @ 11/16/2007 4:46:08 PM

Boys and girls... let's stop all the bashing of folks from Italy, America, Congo, etc.... and look at the bigger picture. This story is all about inhumane treatment of a person for the sake of 'thrills'. Each person involved has their own twisted reason for being swept up in a situation that escalated to the point of murder. How do YOU live your life? Could YOU possibly be brought into a situation this extreme? Do YOU know your friends and acquaintances?

  • Posted By: HugeUglyGurl @ 11/16/2007 4:42:27 PM

This is a classic example of: "You have no friends" I try to tell anybody who'll listen that you don't make "friends" in a few weeks or a few months. A person has to prove "friendship". It's not just
a label you tack onto "anybody" you only "get along with and associate with". People especially you
young people out there. Nobody's exempt so you watch your back. the 20th Century is over people. The most violent video games and movies have become THE WORLD'S REALITY.

  • Posted By: DarkHigh @ 11/16/2007 4:41:48 PM

Shut up about americans, you are all bashing eachother here and the story has nothing to do with your skin color or place of origin. SHE WAS MURDERED get it through ur freaking little skulls that there are more important things at hand than what u are doing.

"Why do so many white women think they can always blame their evil acts on the black man?"

    Pathetic...

Why do black people always play the race card? Do you hear this tune playing on the world's smallest violin yet?

Besides, read the news every once in awhile. There are hardly any stories about white women doing ANYTHING, much less blaming what they're doing on "black men" (and I use the term "men" here very loosely). However, there are PLENTY of stories about black people committing crimes left and right. Take responsibilities for yourselves for once, and stop trying to blame it on the "evil white" people. Can we say LAZY SCAGS??

      • Posted By: slthomas502 @ 11/16/2007 4:40:41 PM

... or the guy in Boston who murdered his pregnant wife and blamed it on a black man who didn't exist? Face it - for some White people, the Black man is the Boogie Man - which is my some don't realize until it's too late that the person they should really be afraid of looks just like them.

    • Posted By: gab1026 @ 11/16/2007 10:55:34 AM

You commented that there are harldy any stories about white women doing ANYTHING. Not sure where you are but if you have ever watched the series Snapped, there are plenty of white women who do a whole lot of EVERYTHING. And who are you do judge black people on a media system that fills the airways with "black committed crimes" and purposely avoids to dicuss the crimes of whites. You are very ignorant and should really educate yourself before you open your mouth. Regardless of what you want to believe, the white woman in this instance has done a lot of lying. What's your explaination for that?

    • Posted By: Blessing8 @ 11/16/2007 10:55:33 AM

Take your head out of your butt and join the real world. What parallel universe are you living in. White people are not evil, but American society has brainwashed you in this country into thinking blacks commit all the crimes. Try watching the Oxygen channel's Snapped program -- most are white women, and maybe white women are not convicted and blacks are because people like you are on the jury. If a black person is on trial, you automatically think they are criminals and "Lazy Scags", and if a white women is on trial, well "they hardly do anything". Well, who will most likely be convicted by you whether innocent or not? And maybe that's why they are not arrested as much, because of the way you think, not that they are innocent. You have just proved everyones point with you own words Can you say Ignorant Racist Bigot??

This is such a sad and tawdry tale. As the mother of two daughters who have travelled internationally during their college years, I must say this is every parent's nightmare. Our world media glorifies sex and extremism. This case seems, on first reading, to be a direct result of the 'extremes' that too much partying, casual 'hooking up' , loose values, and a transient lifestyle can lead to... with victims all around. Surely all the 'players' in this case will have huge consequences. And meanwhile, a family in England will have sorrow, questions, and regrets. My heart goes out to all concerned.

I lived in Seattle for a while and what disturbed me is that in Seattle they are saying that Amanda was a good girl..this obviously is bogus as no one can make someone do something this vicious just because of a break up, it is another example of the P.C iness in Seattle who want everyone to think that the people are great there and not like "the rest" in America...well, they are a lot worse in hypocricy and self righteousness. Hope she pays for what she has done, in Italy.

    • Posted By: dangster @ 11/16/2007 4:24:57 PM

You are full of BS. I grew up in Seattle (lived nearly 2 decades there) and graduated from UW. Why are you trying make Seattleites look bad? What do you have against us? It's merely people who knew her who are saying that she was a good girl, not random people off the street. This has NOTHING to do with Seattle people in general. We are not just a bunch of politically correct p*ssies you seem to think we are.

    • Posted By: sarainitaly @ 11/16/2007 11:36:59 AM

I think it is possible that she was a good person in Seattle. In my opinion, based on what I know so far, it sounds like to me that she got mixed up in drugs and partying, and her new boyfriend. I think all those things combined made a toxic mix. Reminds me of Sid and Nancy. All it takes is a little twisted thought in one person, mixed with a similar personality, throw in drugs and or alcohol, and a lack of respect for human life, and you get a tragic situation. At least this is how this situation seems to me.

I also think that kids today are so desensitized to anything. They have no respect for themselves (think Paris and Britney) they have no respect for parents, and teachers, and the law and police. I partially blame the parents for being so self centered and tolerant of the behaviors of kids today. There is just plain no respect anymore. Obviously there are exceptions, and there are great kids and parents out there, but I think overall the problem is desensitization and lack of respect.

      • Posted By: cdhinnant @ 11/16/2007 12:04:12 PM

Partial blame can also go to US laws that restrict parents rights to discipline children when they are deemed out of control. American children have more rights than the parents who are trying to raise them to be respectful, moral human beings. I am not making a case for legalizing child abuse, but when the first minute signs of child going astray, it usually is the parents who get the first whiff of it. Now in my day when you got out of line for simply being disrespectful you were "smacked" by mom, dad, auntie or any family member. Now you can't even yell at your kid to get him or herself in line without being accused of emotional abuse towards your child. Now we are seeing the after effects of non-discipline in rearing children today - - disrespectfulness, no humanity, vulgarity, increased drug abuse, etc. After all the bible does teach spare the rod spoil the child.

          man, i sooooo agree.

    • Posted By: kahl @ 11/16/2007 12:52:11 PM

what you are overlooking with the statement hat seattle is saying Amanda was a good girl, is if you read about Dahmer, Bundy, or a slew of other serial killers, all of the people that knew them said that they were nice, quite and could not imagine they would do the things that they were convicted of. Sociopaths, are adept at hiding what is missing inside of them. Most of the monster that do evil, don't look or act evil, if they did would we have the problems that we have. You never know if it will be the neighbor that watches your animals when you are gone, or the boy that cuts your grass. Evil comes in all shapes, sizes, gender, and color. Yes, I am using the word evil alittle much, but I can not come up with a word that better describes, this type of horrindence crime.

    • Posted By: MERSCP @ 11/16/2007 11:32:39 AM

Breger, are you really so ignorant? Of course the comments you see from Seattle are positive towards Knox. They are only going to interview people who knew her, not Joe anybody off the streeet. The news people want to hear from people who know those involved and so you will get that point of view. Don't generalize on something you know nothing about. I live near Seattle and am horrified by these events. Don't be an idiot. You may have had a boad experience here, but just like anywhere in the world, we have good and bad people. Focus on the poor victim, not some other B.S.

  • Posted By: Hawk Master @ 11/16/2007 8:20:14 AM

I would say that Lumumb'a is the actual killer, but that Knox set it all up for him. Starting with the text message letting him know that the room-mate was home now - so he could come over and "initiate" things alone,. The two , Knox and her sick boyfriend came along later to join in, hence Know covering her ears cause her room-mates screams were so loud. Sick bunch of deviants, but had it not been for KNOX being willing to set her poor room-mate up that beautiful girl would still be alive. I think KNOX is evil incarnate, hiding behind her stupid simpleton and fake girl-next-door-looks, and she was envious or Ketchers looks and intelligence, so decided she was expandable. Poor Ketcher, with "friends" like Knox for room-mates, that poor girl never stood a chance. Now we have to worry about who the university teams us up with as room-mates, cause with the likes of KNOX running loose, you just never know. I hope they all hang, but especially KNOX.

    • Posted By: kahl @ 11/16/2007 4:21:25 PM

have you ever thought about a career as a fiction author? you take the small amount of information, and decide what happened with no evidence whats so ever. I am not trying to talk you out of your beleive, but how about we wait until there is more evidence of who was there and involved.

    • Posted By: angelus1967 @ 11/16/2007 10:02:18 AM

I sincerely doubt that Knox is "evil incarnate"; she is a young woman who, for whatever reasons not known to us, got in way over her head and SEEMS to have participated in this murder. "I hope they all hang, but especially KNOX"....why? Why especially Knox? Seems to me it looks like they al participated in this. BEsides, Knox or anyone else can't hang. Italy has no death penalty.

      • Posted By: jplb @ 11/16/2007 11:02:53 AM

        @Hawk Master:
Everyone has a right to their opinions, but I think these kind of extreme opinion before the truth all comes out is dangerous. It unfairly sways the public so everyone is out for blood before they know why. I think Knox is responsible in some way, but I also think that her boyfriend and Lumumba played some part in this horrible tragedy.

And shame on whoever tried to pin this on the "white woman blames black man" routine. While I will agree that a lot of times, black people (and other people of nationalities that are not white) are singled out unfairly, that's still not an excuse to pin all the blame on one person because of the color of skin. They all seemed to have participated in this mess. It's up to the authorities to uncover the whole story before we can form a responsible opinion

        • Posted By: smadge @ 11/16/2007 1:26:35 PM

Right on! People have all kinds of opinions and theories, when they don't know a single thing about the incident other than a young woman was murdered, and we have three suspects. That is all we know at this point. And you are right that they all "participated" in some way. It does appear that they all have a connection with the victim. Who knows what events, etc. preceded this horrible crime? None of us! And yes, we need to shut up and let the investigation run its course. There is evidence to be collected and many many hours of trying to sort it all out. And the process will be long and time-consuming, especially since they can hold a suspect for a whole year before charging them. They just have different laws governing their country than we do. But the fact that Ms. Knox has already changed her story several times sends up red flags for me. Doesn't matter one bit what color anybody is!

  • Posted By: irshlas @ 11/16/2007 4:17:25 PM

Just wondering, dottore10, why are you so impassioned about people making derrogatory remarks about Italy and its society? You apparently have no problem making the same derrogatory and inflamatory remarks about those of us living in "some place in Alabama or Mississippi." I would posit to you, do you live in MS or AL? I do and have, and we are not as uncivilized as the picture YOU paint. Don't be a hypocrite. You had informative information regarding Italian society. Don't stoop to the same ignorant level as those you are so quickly prepared to bash.
