    Clinton may not be perfect, but none of the other candidates seem remotely qualified to handle the job. I think she could have the right combination of leadership, confidence and charisma we need. She could reverse the International Bully label that American has earned lately. I was interested in Biden, but last night he seemed to be there for comic relief. We already have a "joke" in the Whitehouse and we know what that equals = 7,500 dead Americans (911 + Iraq) Nobody is laughing, except maybe Osama Bin Laden.

    Is Clinton the only candidate with brains? $97,000 is the middle class in areas that have a high cost of living. They are the ones that are targeted by both sides. The Republicans want to give tax breaks to the really rich and the Democrats want to give tax breaks to the people of the poorer states. To be fair taxes should be indexed by cost of living just like the wages are indexed for areas where the cost of living is high.

    I'm so glad Hillary finally stood up to her second place opponents.Can you imagine what would happen if I said I can't stand another minute of Obam's tortured answers (immigration (11/15) or his looks or worse yet, something negative about Elizabeth Edwards. Her opponents seem to think they can sling the mud and then when the audience boos them, they say it was stacked with her supporters.Don't dish it out if you can't take it.

      CRG8: what personal attacks have any of Hillary's opponents made on her? I'll give you an example of a real personal attack. Calling someone a "faggot" is a personal attack. That's what Ann Coulter called John Edwards. Questioning the source of a politicians funds is not a personal attack. That is a completely legitimate question. People ask Hillary legitimate questions, questions that you better be SURE the Republicans will "ask" her (and not nearly so nicely) if she becomes the nominee and she starts whining about "mudslinging". John Edwards was asked specifically in an interview a while back if he would call her corrupt and he said NO (he was nicer than I would have been!). All he or anybody else has ever done is question the the sources of her funding, and call her to task when she contradicts a position that she took last week. Sorry but there's nothing wrong with that, and it certainly ISN'T mudslinging.

    If you live in any of the metropolitan areas of California, $97,000 IS middle class income. Homes here cost from $350,000 for a average house in a below average neighborhood to well over millions of dollars. The average family home cost for homes within 50 miles of Los Angeles proper is well over $450,000 per year. If you want a back yard, or land, the price jumps up. Grocires and other goods are an arm and leg too. Many familys of 3 spends $150 a WEEK in grocries. I know in some areas of the country, $97,000 buys you a half acre with a 4 bedroom colonial, but that doesn't work across the country. Don't bash Hillary for stating that $97,000 is middle class until you look at the cost of living indexes beyond your areas.

Hillary will use the advice and information from Military leaders to make the best descisions for this country, not shove and agenda down their throats. Me thinks you need to see the Wizard of Oz for a brain. You're arguments are the spewings of a paranoid. This woman will do more for your way of life than George and his Dick ever did. You can't be much of an idividual if Hillary scares you so much. You obviously believe everything you hear from the likes of the Right Wind controlled media. Hillary's Health Care Plan in the early 90's was a great plan. The only mistake she made was holding out for it all to be approved versus negotiating enough away to get bi-partisan approval. Several Republicans approved of most aspects. She went for the gusto and if she would have won, we as a Nation would be so much better off. Get your facts straight 'baby and then maybe there will be some substance in your arguments.

    Just to make things clear it is not only most males that are afraid of having a female president, there are a lot of women out there praying that Clinton does not become the next President of this country! I am a women and she is the last person I would want to become President. If a women becomes President she needs to know her views and stick to them. Instead of doing what she has done, which is flip flop back and forth on several issues that concern the American people. She also needs to be strong enough to defend herself instead of letting her husband say "Those boys have been getting tough on her lately" like her husband said to a reporter, in the interim, of her rivals. The presidential race has always been a "man's world" so to be the first female in that arena you need to carry yourself and fight your own battles. What is he going to do if she does become President and other World Leaders attack her on any issue? Tell them to stop picking on his wife, that they need to let up on her? For god's sake shut up!! Let her fight her own battles, and do not ever say that they are being tough on her!!! This is what the Presidential Race is about, you have to have thick skin and stand your ground no matter what and above all FIGHT YOUR OWN BATTLES! His comment infuriates me she is a big girl and if she is going to take on the role of President then she needs to as some people say "put on her big girl panties and show everyone what she is made of" not let her husband try and get her a pity vote with the childish defense "they are being to tough on her!

    I thought Obama won the night. Hillary was as scripted as the audience members who posed "questions." Wolf and the rest were absolutely pathetic in their fawning manner toward Hillary. CNN = Clinton News Network rings true again. How could they not ask Hillary about her two week bobbing and weaving over the immigration issue? CNN has lost all credibility with me. The post debate analysis was a joke - David Gergen and James Carville? I just hope that the Democrats in Iowa choose Obama, Biden, or Edwards! We do not need a RECYCLED Clinton Administration! We need change - a fresh approach - not a rerun of the 1990s!

We had a great economy. we were respected around the world, we engaged in no wars of consequence, our youth were safe to plan and live their lives, we did not live in constant fear and spend trillions securing ourselves from an enemy whose numbers, location, capabilities and plans has never been explained to us, we balanced our budget and got a start on debt reduction, our President was respected and welcome all over the world, the dollar was the premier currency of the planet and the US was riding high. What possible reason could you have for not wanting to return to the 90's unless you like fear, war, insolvency, division, loss of respect and all that stuff we have been given in the 21st Century? Could it be?

          The Europeans and the rest of the world were not as appalled by Clinton's affair with Monica as you want to believe. How someone runs a fiscal responsibility has nothing to do with how they conduct their personal sex life. The puritans came to this country for religious freedom. That religious freedom includes Bill Clinton's right to have sex outside of his marriage.

          What Bush/Cheney have done to our reputation world wide is much more important to us right now. Their agenda has distroyed the goodwill of decades!

        Interesting interpretation of the events of the late 90's- like the Dems had anything to do with it. Bill ignored Al Qaida. The economy is a private sector triumph, not a govt one.Obviously many in the Middle east did not respect us. We did not have 9-11 but the lack of paying attention to the terrorists led up to it. Out President was certainly not respected in many circles in the US- almost taken out of office for lying in Federal court.. Life has changed since those times. You dont' understand the geooligeopolitical world that is for sure.

      I try hard to not judge people on the things they do but I have to with Obama. He is much to naive and inexperienced to be our President. As a former member of the United States Navy, I was appalled and understandably upset when herefused to hold his hand over his heart during the playing of the National Anthem. His answer was well I didn't do it because it was not the Pledge of Allegiance. I have to ask myself about his true character.

      Senator Clinton won the night handily. Obama was not focused or disciplined in his answeres this evening. Edwards is a rabid gerbil incapable of beginning a sentence that does not begin with "Hillary". The man is an empty suit who whines, attacks, misleads. Biden is owned by the BANKS and always has been. RIchardson is running for the Senate. Why Dodd is on that stage is a mystery. Biden wants to be Secretary of Something. That leaves the very smart, tough, savvy Hillary as our partys nominee. And she will be the 44th President of the United States. Obama is too young. He is a weak sister. The man whore Guiliani would have him for lunch in a presidential debate. Not so with Senator Clinton.

      I agree BobCU. I live in Kansas which became the laughing stock of the country when they opposed teaching evolution in schools. The whole time I was certainly pleased my children were no longer in school. I had to take a good deal of heckling from my sister because she is deeply in the sciences as she is an epidemiologist and researcher.

But they are suppose to be running for the Presidency of the USA. We have Bozo the clown in the White House now, we don't need another misfit. Clinton still hasn't had her feet put to the fire. I would hope that she would not end up to be the Democratic candidate, but if she is, then maybe when she faces a Republican they might put her record, or lack of it, up for all to see. She has none , other than pandering to big money, and she only comes out ot the woodwork when elections are near. She is a socialist and has never voted for a tax cut in her life, so beware voters, unless you are wealthy. Only trouble is, the Republicans have no one either . Huckabee and Tancredo seem the most forward . I don't know how well Huckabee will stand up to scrutiny when his record in Arkansas is put to the test. Tancredo has the best gauntlet to throw forth, but too many are afraid to pick it up. Clinton proved that by waffling on the Illegal Immigration liscense issue. I don't know why I'm bothering, because I realize that this is all a game to them, and that money will out. You will never get a straight answer from Clinton, Edwards will always be a phony, America isn't ready for a Black president, and Richardson will be content to be Vice President. Rudy's past as the gestapo running N.Y. when he railroaded people and lost cases for lack of evidence, but pursued them for name recognition, will come to light. Too much to go into about his bogus claim of being a Catholic, because he is not. He is automatically ex-communicated by his actions, and beliefs. They have only scratched the surface in the Kerec debacle, and how Giuliani bypassed the questionairre required for aplicants for Kerec's job, in order to get him appointed..... I'm afraid that 2008 will be another case of voting against , rather than for, someone. Lest G. Bush think he was the choice, he'is there because no one wanted Gore.

      Thanks for bringing up Giuliani. He recently side-stepped a question about Kerik, his former Chief of Police who was recently indicted on federal charges. He refused to say if he still supported him instead he said that he was wrong for recommending him for Homeland Security Chief.

      I agree. As a very intelligent and educated woman I have watched men cringe in my presence. When I was in charge of a shop in the United States Navy the men were afraid of me because I had the leadership, the backing of the bosses in the office and thepower to affect their careers.

    I watched the "debate" last night and I'm astonished at the pass that Hillary Clinton gets from the media.
    Because she WAS THERE and didn't show her true self she's given a pat on the back by the liberal media.
    Hillary Clinton, if she wins, will bring back the Clinton Morality and the Pervert "first laddie" to our White House , again.
    What is wrong with our country? Can't we have a President (man or woman) who isn't named Bush OR Clinton.
    She should NOT be elected because she's a woman, because she covered for her husband and stayed with him or because it's HER turn.
    She is power mad and will do or say anything to advance her self-interest!
    Please demand and expect more for our Country.

    CNN's obvious support diminished Hillary in my eyes today. Her explanation of her Iran Revolutionary Guard did not hold water, and her facts on Social Security were unconvincing if not muddled. I found her opponents, Obama, Biden and Cucinich to have intellectually stronger and better substantiated responses on the issues.

      If the administration would quit bring the social security pool in to balance the budget of our general fiscal year, if they would keep their hands out of the reserves and leave the fund for that which it is intended, there would be enough money in social security for everyone. Learn your facts.
