Hasn't Rove's hateful divisive politics done enought damage to this country. Are we going to let this little psycho destroy our chances at a decent president in the next term?

      Only if we let him.

I've just removed you from my home page as a news source. It is hard to adjust to the slap in the face this is to serious journalism. You just dropped to the level of The Enquirer or The Star. It really makes me sad.. It's a bit like peaking behind the curtain in Oz.

This is not journalism, it's opinion. Enjoy it. Some of the folks posting here know what they are talking about. Just remember, Karl Rove is not a journalist. He's a political ideologue and a ruthless political operative. This article is not journalism.

HEY BARRY--REPLY WHEN YOU'RE CAPABLE OF AN ORIGINAL THOUGHT--OTHERWISE KEEP TOUTING THE GREAT JOB BUSH HAS DONE! YOUR POSTINGS MORE THAN PROVE MY CASE!

Slidemike, ignorance is a handicap, too. We must be kinder to "slower" Americans like Barry. Its sadly obvious that the cuts in social programs, such as mental health, have impacted some quite personally. With luck, we can demonstrate just how much we care for Barry and other unfortunate Americans next November. ;)

One final note to newsweek: Shame, shame shame, shame on you! You magazine is a waste of space. Worse: Karl Rove? Great reading for the converted or those with strong stomachs. Hadn't you noticed? Rove has been such a great influence on our political dialog. Thanks, newsweek, for providing him with a forum to spew his pooh. Such a contribution to informed debate. Please cancel my never purchased subscription to your rag.

    slidemike,

What, I supposedly flip burgers and you are light in your loafers, that is original as it gets. You don't like my position so you result to insulting me. I can smell a democrat bleeding heart liberal a mile away. What is your case? I'd like to hear it. I grew up in a family business and own one now, Try working hard, it will pay off, or the dems will keep giving handouts so nobody has to work.

The difference in Hillary and many of the candidates is that she doesn't hae to pretend to be interested in what matters to families! She has been paying attention to that for decades - read It Takes A Village - it is about making families stronger. The Republicans are doing fine in this campaign - all they have to do is keep up the spending........we can't afford another Repblican in the White House. Recent history reveals that Democrats restore fiscal constraint.

  • Posted By: slidemike @ 11/19/2007 6:15:18 PM

WAKE UP REPUBLICANS! 98% of you aren't wealthy enough to even be thought of as Republicans! How are your portfolios looking? NOT SO HOT I bet! Stop thinking YOU belong in the upper echelon! Stop trying to "ONE-UP" your neighbors! Spend more time with your CHILDREN and raise them to understand GREED! Take as much interest in your KIDS as you do your CARS, Your JOBS, Your TOYS! DON'T set your children up to be miserable failures because they won't earn 10 Million! Teach them real VALUES like GENEROSITY and COMPASSION, The Values THIS GREAT COUNTRY WAS BUILT UPON!!

Slidemike, I have ben reading some of your posts and i cannot believe the pure venom you spew. I am not a wealthy person but I am a Republican because I believe in personal responibility which means you treat your fellow human as you would want to be treated. The Democratic party believe that they should spend the money I make for me and I should just be happy to have what they give me. I am not very happy with any of the two parties we have at the moment but I cannot follow someone who wants to punish me for working hard and making some money. My kids are being taught good values and they are being shown the inadequecy of all of our leaders on both sides of the aisle. If you think that the Democratic leaders are pure as snow than you must drink allot of their koolaid.

The candidate for President of the United States who will win will be the candidate who convinces me why I should vote for him, not why I shouldn't vote for her. Win on ideas for the future, not someone else's failures of the past. The winner will discuss his record and that of his opponent. The truth will always win.

Why would anyone knowingly buy Newsweek anyone? Why would anyone be surprised by the Rove byline? Why would anyone of sound mind not cancel their subscription?

    • Posted By: cmicah6:8 @ 11/19/2007 8:14:36 PM

I think most of us here are not surprised. But this will be a great platform where the 70 percenters can vent their frustrations against one of the major players responsible for the current state of our union. And, too, for some of the 30 percenters to spew invectives, diatribes, polemics, and the party line, i.e. Republican talking points.

Oh my lord! I am soooo scared! K'ant we just bomb someone and make it all go away? Maybe One-Million-Dead depleted Detroit? Just kidding motor city. Why are their so many right wing idiots who know nothin bout nothin and like it that way? How did one of them make to the White House? What does that say about our country? We have, as most countries, the leaders we deserve. I fear we do. How do we changee?

  • Posted By: slidemike @ 11/19/2007 7:51:16 PM

    Barry--Your a typical-RUSH BABY-JACKASS

    310,000,000 million AMERICANS
    10,000,000 IRAQIS

GOOD DAY TO STAY AT HOME? GO PISS SOME MORE OF YOUR MONEY AWAY AT THE LIMBAUGH ASYLUM--HE'LL TEACH YOU HOW TO THINK! YOU OBVIOUSLY AREN'T CAPABLE OF AN ORIGINAL THOUGHT!

    • Posted By: whocares @ 11/19/2007 8:08:42 PM

slide I wonder what original idea you had that wasn't straight from someone who only thinks if somemone isn't liberal is ignorant.Personally I am liberal about some things but I would much rather have this war over there than in America.

  • Posted By: barryh22 @ 11/19/2007 7:51:49 PM

LMFAO!!!!! We didn't kill the Iraqi's they are killing themselves, kind of like we are but on a grander scale, they need to get past that as do we Americans. 3500 in what 5 years, yes I am glad I don't reside in Detroit, they have lost over a million to murder since the 70's

    • Posted By: newsweekkrapmag @ 11/19/2007 8:05:38 PM

Barry, take a deep breath, don't bother trying to think, and drop any ideas of moving to Detroit as quickly as possible.... I had no idea it was that dangerous. A million dead in Detroit? Good God! Sounds like our biggest problems are right here! Sure about the figures, Barry?

  • Posted By: USwordman @ 11/19/2007 8:05:26 PM

barry, we set the stage for the chaos and misery going in Iraq--Hussein was an evil man who we tolerated while he was useful and who deserved to be ousted decades ago, but our invasion was ill conceived and our "plan" for the peace afterwards was ludicrously naive. Hussein was a thug, but to all the families over in Iraq who have had family members slaughtered, and with no foreseeable end to the violence, which is the greater evil--Hussein or the daily evil unleashed by a lack of stability? I hope Iraq eventually stabilizes and doesn't become a pawn to Iranian ambition, otherwise our own thousands of dead soldiers will have given their lives for what? (And don't say to prevent terrorism--there was no link between the Iraqis and Osama bin Laden).

  • Posted By: newsweekkrapmag @ 11/19/2007 8:00:19 PM

Time and Newsweek are both clearly instrumental in keeping the populace poorly informed and compliant. Didn't realize they were left wing. Thanks for the heads-up!

  • Posted By: newsweekkrapmag @ 11/19/2007 7:58:41 PM

Only an American Republican who has lost all touch with reality could accuse Newsweek as being a mouthpiece of Liberal thinking. This country is in dire straits. Now is the time of all good men to come to the aid of their country. No, not you. You need a remedial thinking course. But you others, you know who you are, I hope.

  • Posted By: slidemike @ 11/19/2007 7:58:15 PM

Barry--no doubt you are a burger flipper--and a lousy one at that!

  • Posted By: slpmgpkcp @ 11/19/2007 7:55:01 PM

Okay, talk about sour grapes. He allowed others to take a fall when he leaked the nam of a spy. His former boss is on his way out and this guy needs to find something to do with his time other than to write crap like this. Get a life - go on and get a real job.

Comment: I love all the comments about cancelling subscriptions because a Republican opinion was published. Newsweek is a tried and true brand in the DNC stable of publications. The Libtards who read this parody of a news magazine apparently can't abide anything that doesn't fit into their dogmatic narrative of recently revised history. I'll bet most of these posters didn't even read the (emminently innocuous) article lest they chance piercing their protective bubble of misinformation. I guess there is always Time Magazine.....

  • Posted By: slidemike @ 11/19/2007 7:53:53 PM

YEAH KING, BUT LETS BOMB THE RIGHT COUNTRY YOU DOLT!

  • Posted By: KINGofthemountain @ 11/19/2007 7:50:55 PM

USwordman- after 9/11 you don't think we should have gone to war?
