I understand the fact that alot of people are looking to a leader who can deal with the undoing of alot of the problems that are starting to fester under the current Presidential leader that we have. Its ashamed that we as Americans went through taxation to fix past administations that had no fiscal policy, other than you could count on another 200+billion deficit. We as Americans paid trillions off our National debt. This last President has undone everything that we accomplished that had our economy soaring.

"Rove, former senior adviser and deputy chief of staff for President Bush, is a NEWSWEEK contributor."

You mean Newsweek actually paid money for this driviel?

The Republicans are NOT the only ones seeking donations from the rich..scope out the clintons' alliances. How many rich folks are associated with the Dems?? PULeeeeez!! Let's look at candidates who are willing to stand for what's right..even when nobody's lookin! How about Mike Huckabee or Duncan Hunter??

I am sick to death of people who have moral lives that stink up the joint! I jsut want a President that lives in such a way that doesn't bring shame to this country...the Clintons??? Oh please! God help us!

Do not believe a word this master manipulator says! The Republican plan is to get Hillary the nomination because they know they can beat her. No old and decrepit Republican can touch Obama, and they know it. But with Hillary, the Republican nominee can simply go back to the tried-and-true "flip-flopper" label, and in rolls another oil-loving, status quo Republican president. Haven't we finally had enough??

    • Posted By: bfs52 @ 11/19/2007 6:11:44 PM

This is what as you called this master manipulator would want you to think about Hillary clinton, she is the one they cant beat, he left the white house for this purpose, is to try to spread his propaganda so the Republicans will have a chance to win, they cant beat Clinton and they know it, al they know is to accuse her of flip flopping, at what, and the issue of trust , who is carl rove to question anyones credibility,, if you want another Republican in office vote for some one other than Hillary clinton, or is your memory to short to know how good this country was when Bill Clinton was in office

Give it a rest already Turd Blossom. You already left your elected official with the worst approval rating in history since Hoover led the country into the Great Depression. Not even your own party candidates want any unhelpful advice from you.

Too bad Scooter was offered up to take the fall for the likes of you. America would have been so much better off without you manipulating it into the ground. I can't wait for Libby to write his tellall someday soon. It will be even more terrifying than a Stephen King novel.

What a joke!!! Karl Rove talking about being up front and honest!!!! I guess he never looked in that mirror that was in his office. That man has set the American people's belief in politics back decades! Just read all that has been written about him, by friends and foes alike, and you come up with a man who is less than honest, arrogant, and will do whatever it takes to get his candidate elected!!! Is that who we want to listen to....I hope not!!

  • Posted By: Greco622 @ 11/19/2007 6:07:25 PM

Gosh, he left out the key strategy he always employed for his candidates in the past. When it gets really tough, go find a pack of rich donors that are willing to pay for a series of blatant lies about your opponent, then spread them around like so much manure, knowing your blind little sheep followers will just lap 'em up.

Gosh, he left the key ingredients he employed that helped his candidates to victory. When it get really tough, go find a pack of rich donor willing to create totally fictous lies about your opponent and spread them around like the manure they are, knowing that the blind little sheep will lap 'em up.

funny how this comment got buried so fast....

Unfortunately, we Americans are faced with yet another pool of subpar candidates to vote from for the most important job in America, the Master Puppet. Let's be realistic, if any candidate was truly going to "change" the future of America, they wouldn't even get a nomination, regardless of party! A good listener who follows the leads of other outside influences is all we Americans have been able to have as a President since the end of 1963. That guy got killed because he didnt listen and follow the lead. The problems of America are caused, in part, because we have been trained to simplify the issues to be either Democrat or Republican caused and then we are ignorant enough to argue about which side has the right answer?
    Wake up folks!

What happened in Germany, was not a American issue, only the lack of spine by the U.S. to do something about it.
It took a bunch of U.S. Ships that were already being decmossioned to get blown up by the Japanese to get us involved. Go drink some more Lager Irishguy

I feel your pain...liberals and left-wing democrats...ha....ha...! After nearly 8 years you guys got humiliated by Karl and his strategies... They still don't have any clue how to fight back.

It was in the last election when the people had a say about Rove and the president. In case you don't remember the Repub. lost the house and the senate. Did you pay attention? I'm not sure if his party would allow him to even be seen with their nominee or speak to him. The bottom line Rove didn't deliver in the end. He didn't deliver a president capable of leading or cronies who have improved this country on any level. I don't think he will be remembered fondly by his party at all.

In the world of politics, sometimes you got to calculate what is the big picture...whether you want people (Americans people) blames all bad and terrible things on Republican side when you know nothing will complete and success if Republicans take control of Congress Or you want Democrats get more than half percent shares of the blames if they take control of Congress with a same result (of nothing changed and completed), but it will help Republicans having a chance of taking over the WhiteHouse and Congress again (within 2 years).
What should you do? The Architect did know better. He certainly picked the first option (temporately lost control of Congress) to help his party having a Bigger prizes later....Simple plan...Ha.....Ha....!

She seems totally unqualified for the office -- never ran anything in her life.

  • Posted By: Keepin My Freedom @ 11/19/2007 5:56:21 PM

    What?
Sprad413, what are trying to say there? It reads like some political mumbo jumbo for sure.

We are going to travel the Twilight Zone either way, no mater which side is elected, there is no choice in that for we Americans.

NO republican will EVER beat Hillary in the 2008 presidential race!!!Hillary has the experience, the passion, and the knowledge to lead this nation!!!

MAKE NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! Right Wingers want the American Population to think Ultra-Coservatives are rooting for HILARY! They are trying to get you to change your vote to elect OBAMA or EDWARDS because they strongly feel they have a chance against them! RIGHT WING COSERVATIVES KNOW THAT THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE OF DEFEATING HILARY CLINTON!

Like HILARY or not, She will be great for this COUNTRY! BUSH hasn't done much of anything for OUR GREAT NATION--AMERICA! HE'S MUCH TOO CONCERNED WITH "OTHER" COUNTRIES, ESPECIALLY OIL-PRODUCING NATIONS!!!

SMARTEN UP GREAT AMERICANS AND TAKE THIS GREAT COUNTRY BACK FROM THIS GREEDY, INCOMPETENT, DRAFT-DODGING ADMINISTRATION!!

Why doesn't one candidate republican or democrat look Hillery straight in the eye, and ask for a straight answer. I for one no longer trust her she is funded by special interest groups with deep pockets.

Karl Rove is a fat little rat who jumped off a sinking ship. The so called progress in Iraq is a farce manufactured by the Defense Department and the Right Wing controlled Media. America is better off since he left the scene. To bad he didn't take his stinking opinions with him and hide just like every other Republican who ever left office. I am not a Hillary fan but there isn't one Republican candidate I would trust with running this country. After all, the one we have now is the Worst President this country ever experienced. Why take a chance on giving another one the opportunity to beat Bush's record.

    • Posted By: cmcbutler76 @ 11/19/2007 5:54:04 PM

Amazing! The nedia controled by the Right? Guess again, now figure out what else doesn't make sense with the original posting.

  • Posted By: Sprad413 @ 11/19/2007 5:51:07 PM

Mr. Rove underestands both the complexity of this campaign's horizon and the complexity of Mrs. Clinton. What is difficult in this upcoming campaign is the difficult in the undereducated public and their true awareness. Will we allow Mrs. Clinton to fail to say anything meaningful in consideration of how she might run our country or will we allow her to slip through without really knowing where she stands or how she will lead us to a renewed and lengthy physical, spiritual and mental prosperity. Mr. Rove is telling the Republican hopefuls that this is where the attach must occur and how it should be done. It will then be up to we Americans to educate ourselves to the facts and then choose the course which we wish to travel.

Why doesn't one of our candidates democrat ,or republican look Hillery in the eye, and ask for her to give a straight answer. I no longer trust anything she says.
