    No one gives a damn about the progress in Iraq ! What do Americans care about taking care of every country in the world EXCEPT it's own !
    You tell me what 1 Trillion dollars could have been spent on here at home !
    If the Iraq war had never started and the question was asked in 2001 do we have the money to build schools, universalize health care, pay down the debt, take care of this flood of illegals coming into our country and wrecking the real estate and wages market, the answer would have been unanimous in saying we don't have the money. Yet, Republicans certainly were able to come up with billions every few months to fund Bush's war in Iraq!

        Also, you are the one in a coma if you think IRAQ had anything to do with the 9/11 attack on the U.S. IF we have the right to attack Iraq PRE-imptively, (since it has been proven by CIA reports NO evidence has EVER been found Iraq had any communication with Al-Qeada or had WMD's) just because that countries leader hated Americans (And I certainly don't disagree that the world is better off w/o Sadaam) then we have EVERY right to pre-imtively attack Cuba, Venenzula, N. Korea, China, Russia and every other country that hates Americans. They are ALL a threat to our security you fool. Iraq was all talk they had no way off attacking us, all they did was cheer whenever someone else did, if that is enough to attack a country then let's get it on and attack everyone because we have more enemies now than we have EVER HAD IN HISTORY!!!!!!!!

    On a scale from 0 to 10, where 10 equals "cancel my subscription," Newsweek just went from 3 to 9.5. Your magazine is called "Newsweek." Not "News-Manipulation-Week." I am not a close-minded person. I read and appreciate Anna Quindlen and George Will alike. But, a known propagandist, with a known ax to grind and a limited familiarity with truth and decency, should not be given a voice in an impartial news magazine.

    Please reconsider maintaining your dignity.

Hasn't Karl Rove done enough to ruin this country, undermine our democracy and create a divisive political discourse. What is wrong with your editors? Do you think this is the best commentary America has to offer. There are so many brilliant political analysts and leaders in this country who deserve to have a forum to share their opinions. Karl Rove commenting on Hillary Clinton is beyond irresponsible journalism. He just couldn't resist an opportunity to call Senator Clinton a ***. Of course, he had to do it by supposedly quoting a woman in South Carolina. (Did you check that story out, Newsweek?) I think the nutty radio commentators, conservative bloggers, and conservative "Christian" leaders can hold up this end of the rhetoric without Newsweek getting in the fray.

    Karl, you are right. It is about a hopeful vision for the future. America is on a downslope and gaining momentum. Hillary will bring prosperity at home and respect abroad. She'll bring energy and outstanding judgment when selecting her cabinet. A Republican will never be able to clean this messy house that Bush built.     Wow. This is an example of the incisive brain of George Bush in action? He actually thinks most of us are so stupid we can't see what his little story about the mirror actually tells us about him--that he's petty, nasty, and about as clever as a junior high student. I especially love how he's counseling his fellow Republicans on the best antidote for dealing with the "low approval rates of the Republican president." That would be George Bush, right? The man he helped put into office and then into the toilet? Karl has one thing right--we want our president to be authentic, yes, just not an authentically incompentent, and self-serving liar who lies to himself more than anybody. Thanks for a good laugh, Newsweek. Glad I'm not paying for your magazine.
