I don't think the U.S. should have invaded Iraq. It has cost this country much in lives and resources we could have used in the war against terror. I'll be glad when Bush is out of office, but I don't want to see Hillary as President. She will be as devisive as Bush is since she will promote a socialist agenda and socialism is a rot to any sociiety and many are against thyis form of governance. As far as Rove is concerned, I don't think he has done any more harm to our country than the far left who have the same cjharacter as Rove. They are no better than the far right. .Fascists are fascists regardless of their political affiliation. We need a centrist president who will try to govern equitably.

It's interesting to read this man's advice to political hopefuls in the 2008 race and place it alongside his actions when he held a powerful political position. I guess it's a case of the two Karls, right?

How can you employ someone who should be in jail for leaking Valerie Plame's identity? This distinctly traitorous action probably deserves the death penalty, no? Or so I would think the fierce death-penalty patriots among the rightwing of the electorate.

Memo to Newsweek: My subscripton renewal is due in January 2008. Don't even bother to send me your sales pitch, special academic offers or even if your magazine will be free. With King Karl Rove now on your staff, your magazine become nothing more than manure.

Has anyone seen the documentary "Clinton Chronicles" where both the Clintons are accused of drug trafficking, money laundering, and murder? I am voting for the candidate who has a track record for honesty, integrity, and patriotism: Congressman Ron Paul for President.

Mr. Rove where are the politics of fear, fact spinning and moral rectitude that you have used to manipulate voters. Your recommendations are so watered down they are useless. Your policy of dismantling government failed. You should be back learning rather than preaching. You aren't qualified to say what American people deserve or want!

Rove did not and does not serve this country; he only serves his master.

With Karl working for you now don't bother sending a renewal for my subscription. I am no longer interested in your magazine. His ideas and advice have been largely responsible for where our country is today. As for Hilary or any other candidate running, democrat or republican, I feel none can be worse than our present one thank's to Karl's great advise!

OMG!!!! Listen to all you liberal kooks, this is what the democrat party has come to, hateful, mean, evil , this is what groups like move-on, daily-kos and other groups like them have changed the party , you all are going ballistic over ROVE writing for this liberal mag. and I might add giving advice that you all hate to admit will work, the GOP is praying hillary will get the nomination, she will totally unite the party, mark penn talks about GOP women voting for her because she is a women, please give me a break, they hate her worse then the men, he is just trying to spin it that way, hoping that they do vote for her, after reading these comments it just proved what I had always known, newsweek is a liberal magazine, that is why these comments are like this, and you people out there that are saying you use to be GOP but changed because of BUSH or ROVE, well we all know that is a lie, you are no REPUBLICANS and you cannot fool us , Mr. Rove if you read this, I am thrilled you are writing this article, and I know you just laugh at these liberal kooks, they just can't stand that you did not get indicted because you did not oust plame, and if they weren't so ignornant they would know that and know that years ago , plame did it herself as did her lying husband who are laughing all the way to the bank for fooling everyone of them dems. WE LOVE YOU MR. ROVE, just consider the source if you read any of their filth. hillary is going to lose , I can't wait to see the ads that will go up against her, all her lying and flip flops, and showing her and bill talking about the WMD's, that is going to be fun. you libs get your facts straight before you make fools of yourselves!!!!!

Mr. Rove, you laid out a great strategy for defeating Hillary Clinton in 2008; however, didn't you leave out the "lie, cheat, and steal" element of your strategy? As an independent I generally voted Republican (George Bush in 2000 to my shame). Since then I've voted Democratic. And since you know "The Math", how many presidents did it take to increase our national debt?

Have you no shame for politicizing the tragedy of 911, using it as a means to further Republican political power the Neo-con agenda. Strike this last statement. You, George Bush, Dick Cheney, et al, are not Republicans -- corporate fascists perhaps, but definitely not Republicans.

Mr. Rove, thank you for your time and service to our country.

I am totally disappointed and even embarrassed that Newsweek would pay Karl Rove for ANYTHING. Shame on you!

As an independent I generally voted Republican (George Bush in 2000 to my shame), but since I have voted straight Democratic. Do you not feel any shame in politicizing every aspect of our federal government as well as using 911 as avenue for more Republican political power? Strike this last statement. You, George Bush, Dick Cheney, et al, are not Republicans -- corporate fascists perhaps, but not Republicans. And since you know "The Math", how many presidents did it take to icnrease our national debt to $9,000,000,000?

Any candidate who wants to stay in Iraq longer than Hillary Clinton is not going to win the election. Was Karl Rove living under a rock during the 2006 elections? Ron Paul however is the only one who talks about legitimately cutting spending, lowering taxes, and being authentic and honest. All of the other candidates still want to blow away hundreds of billions of dollars in Iraq and then probably Iran and are mostly have stage fright and are scared to debate on national TV. These "top-tier" Republican candidates are WEAK. It's either going to be Ron Paul or a democrat in 2008. Mitt the Flip-Flopper, Rudy the Scum, Napping Fred, and Frightened McCain are not going to win any presidential election in the near future.

So, it look like Karl has again been given validity in the American people's eyes - given sean2002's comment. Karl sucked you in to his manipulative rehetoric.

Please consider the source of the printed opinion - Karl, who no one in their sane mind would or should trust or spend a moment contemplating or considering. Remember - it is Karl.

I will be cancelling my subscription to this magazine after many years. Thank you for the opinions and articles over the past number of years. I cannot understand why Newsweek would let this snake in the door. He is pure evil in our time, and he knows it, let there be no doubt. Moving on.....

I don't know what is Rove's intention to prematurely and wishfully claim Clinton will be the Democratic nominee. As far as I am concerned. Hillary should and will not be the nominee. Even though the mainstream media and Washington establishment have already pre-selected Hillary by giving her overwhelmingly more free attention and coverage. Taking the debate at Nevada as an example, CNN was not a neutral host. CNN handled the entire event like it was an opportunity for Hillary to recover from her previous poor debate performance. It is just so disgusting. CNN has lost its credibility with me.

As far as I am concerned, Hillary hasn't done anything tangibly to deserve her front runner status but because her name sake. Making her health care reform as an example, first of all, it was a failure and it showed her poor leadership skills???she did everything in secrecy and didn???t intend to share any credits with anybody else, but herself.

Let's say, if unfortunately Hillary wins the nomination, then it is sad to acknowledge that in our political system, the winner belongs to the one who is most adept at playing the media game, ideology game, the one who has the most inside connections with all media, establishment and corporations, the one who is the most ruthless--willing to do anything and say anything and use any dishonest tactics to win. Does this sound similar as how Bush won his presidency? After Bush???s failed regime, I cannot imagine that it seems that American public and the media are destined to make the same mistake. So we should not blame the politicians but ourselves for our corrupt political system. It is painful for me to envision another political dynasty residing in the White House after Bush dynasty's incompetence, Rove style of secrecy, manipulation and hard-cored ideology.

Gee, he left out the step of using dishonest, despicable "Swiftboat" ads....
