I canceled my subscription, and I let Newsweek know that I will restart the subscription as soon as Rove is out of the picture. Please let Newsweek know how you feel.

NICE TO SEE A MAN WHO SHOULD BE IN FRONT OF A FIRING SQUAD FOR TREASON HAS CLOUT WITH NEWSWEEK! SAD SO SAD

I find it hilarious that the only comments that Rove can make about his dealings with Hillary involve a mirror in her old office. Absolutely ridiculous. Even if the anecdote is true, who the hell cares?

I'm not pro-or anti-HIllary, but I certainly think Rove has been the smartest criminal in the public eye for a while. And I'm in shock that Newsweek would've hired him.

If Rove wants to give away strategy, let him. The man can't stand not being heard. But if one thinks they can't learn something from the way Rove thinks, they speak from nothing beyond pure political ignorance. The way one understands the opposition is by listening to them and adapting to their strategies. One may think Rove is a loser, but the fact is that throughout his political career, he has been the opposite. Sure, he's probably dirty - after all, he studied at the feet of the master - but he has also consistently won elections and doing so by breaking down contests to the precinct level. Rove knows all precincts count and has been able to read the tea leaves of precinct maps better than just about anyone in his generation. As a democrat, I welcome this and other articles by Karl Rove about the '08 election.

Does anyone remember that George Bush, in his first campaign, ran as the "Uniter, not the Divider"? Was that one of Carl's suggestions too?
Don't get me wrong, I don't like Hillery either, but I'm really mad at anyone who helped run the "Bush White House". This time we need someone honst, intellegent and with vision. We need a diplomat who will be able to repair our image in the world. We've had the "Uniter, not the Divider", lets not have another "Idiot".

My mother and I have been subscribers of Newsweek for years,we are disheartened that you would give space to the radical right or the radical left.Aren't we divided enough without all this. The only ones salivating over this are the pundits who want to see a slug fest at the expense of the nation.

I cancelled my subscription. I want trustworthy, honest journalism and that is not Karl Rove. He has been involved in naming a CIA agent (read Hubris) voter caging, the list goes on. If you agree, cancel your subscription, this is the only way that Newsweek will hear you,

Karl, you really said a lot of nothing in this article. Like, duh. This article proves the Republicans are simple automatons to the point that they need Karl to tell them simple things like develop your own personal narrative!! I mean, c'mon! We've already had a gut full of the simpleton in office now--we don't need another one.

  • Posted By: levans37 @ 11/18/2007 11:47:27 AM

Wasn't Rove's strategy to whip up the base? Now he says to go for those that don't agree with you? What a whore.

I am so tired of Karl. The dropout can advise a mental lightweight like GWB, but when it comes to real leadership, he can't hold a candle to a junior class president.

Please Newsweek, do you really think you should be publishing his garbage in your mag? Cancel my subscription.

Newsweek. Are you serious? Karl Rove? Good God.. Shame Shame..

  • Posted By: kitebro @ 11/18/2007 11:01:47 AM

Come on Karl! With your help the GOP can win in '08 just as big as they did in '06. Rove can only work in the shadows. He tells others how best to smear decent people. He is lower than scum. He has lost his slimy touch.

Shame on you Newsweek for hiring this scumbag. He has left the US in tatters and is morally devoid. Cancel my subscription. I'll give my money to a more worthy magazine.

Karl is so right. The republicans need a Hillary to run against. They need a candidate whom they can attack, smear and revile.(Max Cleland ring a bell?) The alternative for them is to run on their record of failure over the past seven years. What would you do in their place?
Karl seems to think that this will be 2004 all over again. Does he really think that any Dem. candidate is going to sit by and allow themselves to be "swiftboated" by the republican smear machine?
He knows damn well that the Clintons are masters of that game and they will give as good as they get and then some.
But then again , Karl has " the numbers."

Karl Rove has already shown that he is the most divisive person in politics. I am tired of conflict as a tactic to win votes taking priority over the needs of the American people. The media encourages people like Rove to throw mud as their daily sound bite. For the record, I don't find Hillary divisive. I find her having to watch her back constantly because the media are so willing to jump on it as Rove has taught them. We Americans are better than this, whether it's Hillary or Obama or... we need to let our leaders look forward, listen to us and lead us, not have to constantly waste precious time fight ing off the political paparazzi that create conflict rather than promote unity.

Why the heII is Newsweek giving this war criminal liar a column? Absolutely disgusting, Newsweek! I'm canceling my subscription too!

My suggestion to the R candidates is run hard on border security and 250K fines and 5 years in jail for employers who hire illegals.....you will win in a landslide and by the way you would never get that advise for AMENSTY Rove.

  • Posted By: Jaded @ 11/18/2007 9:42:00 AM

Hey Karl where should the R candidate stand on illegal immigration? I see you did not address that and I suspect it's because you are probably not to happy that 77 percent of Americans are against yours and President Bush's stance on it.

My suggestion to the R candidate is run hard on border security and 250K dollar fines and 5 years in prison for any company found hiring illegals. I think you will win in a landslide.
