Why has Newsweek chosen to give a forum to a man who reprsents low ethical standards for both public service and how to conduct elections. Karl Rove aided and abetted tactics to spread untrue, ugly rumors against an American war hero. Karl Rove aided and abetted the outing of a CIA agent. He has a low ethical threshold. Why did Newsweek put this man on who has undermined the American democratic process. Oh right, Newsweek was the same publication which suppressed knowledge, no lied about, knowing the identity of Anonymous author - Joe Klein - and assisted Klein in personally attacking an individual who correctly identified him as the author by analyzing the writing. Mr Meacham I like you. You are not as ethicaally challenged as Evan Thomas. But wahy.

Why has Newsweek given a forum to man who has been implicated in subverting the electoral process in the United States. Mr. Rove has repeatedly demonstrated that he operates at a low ethical threshold in the manner in which conducts campaigns. He has supported groups who have lied and smeared political opponents. He has aided and abetted the outing of a CIA agent -- the man has been destructive to highest ideals of American democracy. And Newsweek decides he should be given a forum. Of course this is the same publication that aided and abetted a former columnist to smear and denounce an individual who correctly identified him an anonymous author of a Clintonesque book when Newsweek knew beter. I am disappointed but I guess I should not be.
