    Why are marshmallows and brown sugar added to sweet potatoes? Aren't sweet potatoes sweet enough? We stuff ourselves with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet poatoes with marshmallows, pumpkin pie, etc. , then waddle to the couch and stare into space like zombies instead of taking a brisk walk afterwards. Why blame the poor turkey for our gluttony?

    Regarding point 3, sweet potatoes are low on the GI index. From gilisting.com:

    Low GI foods are foods with a GI less than 55. They cause a slower and
    lower rise in blood glucose levels. Examples are Porridge, Apple and Sweet Potato.
