Wow Clift, even you are trying to define Hillary in a bad light.
There's two Hillary's. The real one and the one the press is trying to create. Obama and Edwards should get some of this character weakness labeling. She has to be twice as good as her rivals to get half the credit. i think we're seeing how unprepared we are as a nation to hand over the Presidency to a strong woman.

Hillary is always there for the underdog, right? She's a believer in cutting taxes for the poor and taxing the middle class. Can anyone tell me why she's proposing tax breaks starting back again for anyone making $200,000 + ? In exactly what salary range do she and her other Washington D.C. friends fall? I just want to make sure I'm understanding her. If she's financially hurting, then we certainly want to give her a break.

Hillary gets Republican Female crossover support in a General. None of the living 27 black republicans will cross over for Obama. For Obama Iowa looks like do or die. For Hillary it looks like another whistle stop on the way to a sure thing. I am a southern conservative D, in Arkansas, and we here support Hillary widely. I have a Hillary sticker on my car in the 3rd CD, which has sent an R to congress since '66.
Hillary does not have as hard a sell as any of the other candidates. I admire Biden and Dodd for their knowlege of the nuts and bolts of things, but that is cancelled by Hillary having been there and done that in not one but two executive mansions, for nearly 20 years total. (Bill was a long-time governor, only losing once, in the Reagan Election of 1980.) Hillary needs to win a southern state or two, to carry the general. The third rail of Illegal immigration should be answered with enforcement of existing laws. Talk of Comprehensive reform is a fools choice. Executives carry out laws. It is also seen as anti-blue collar and another nail in the coffin of organized labor. Those are mistakes Hillary should henceforth avoid. She needs to not fall into the wide gap of divisive politics.
Lastly these are hardly debates, they are moderated forums set up for the sound-bite.

"She is conniving, deceitful, power hungry and entirely phony. Hiliary is ahead in a crowd of mostly unqualified candidates??? Calling herself qualified on the basis of being First Lady makes Laura Bush qualified as well I guess. I for one am so very very very sick of the Clintons, and their dishonesty." -- The funny thing about this comment is that it sounds like they must be talking about Bush. If you insert George W. Bush everytime you read Hillary or Clinton, it then fits quite perfectly. There are so many things wrong with this persons comment i dont know where to begin. first of all, it is quite obvious they don't know what they are talking about, and obviously have no idea about Hillarys background. If they did, they would have never compared her to Laura Bush. As for her being a Senator, ummm.... MOST people that have run for President came off of being a Senator so I don't know why that's a problem. And yes, not ALL senators run for President. If you want to get into a battle of a certain family with two different members as president and their "dishonesty", don't get me started. If Bill Clinton's biggest blunder was to lie about a blow job, then I'd take that in a second over George W. Bush and the rest of his parties shady lies. How many republican males in high positions have been outed for being homosexuals? Now, I have nothing against homosexuals, but I have everything against hypocrites. The same people that bashed Bill Clinton and his "family morals" were the same ones trying to cheat on their wives with men while picking them up in restrooms. OR, if you havent heard this one, while saying they were away on business, dressing up in red tights, sequened black dress and trying to pick up a man (while cross-dressing mind you) in an adult film store. or how can we forget about the republican that was found dead in two wetsuits with a *** in his butt. Ummm..... can the republicans become any more disgraced or hypocritical? look those cases up if you don't believe me.

I would just like to take the time to point out that the media jumping on Hillary's first shaky last 30 seconds in the debate is ridiculous. Why? Aside from the obvious reasons (she has done well in every other debate and everyone is allowed a fumble) our current President never failed to looked like an un-read, unintelligent, deer-caught-in-theheadlights, everytime a debate went one. And he still got elected. He looked like the older white male version of Miss Teen South Carolina many times. It is still funny to me that Bill Clinton got impeached over a lied about blow job, which by the way had nothing to do with his skills as a President, and George Bush has gotten away with vindictively outting a CIA spy, Blackwater, going to Iraq under false pretenses, using Americans fear to further his agenda (you don't believe me? Donald Rumsfelds memos to his staff used to say things like "increase the threat", "link Iraq to Iran", and "make Americans realize they are surrounded by hostile countries like Somalia and the Philippines", and thats just to name only a few), hurting foreign relations and uniting our enemies (Russia and Iran), not listening to the American publics opinions, Attorney General Gonzalez, and the list goes on and on.... So for those of you that think Hillary only got to where she is because of her husband, think again. I'm not the biggest Hillary Clinton advocate. I prefer Obama and Edwards to her as a matter of fact. But I do not for one second think that she is an inept leader and incapable of making decisions for herself. Just look at her education, time in the Senate. If anything, her being continually linked to her husband is going to hurt her in my opinion, because then she will never get the proper credit, like what was said below.

It is obvious that the Hillary bashing machine is alive and well. However, I am happy to read an honest and
impartial article from Eleanor. I totally agree that Hillary won all the debates except perhaps last 90 seconds of the Philli debate. Those few seconds were enough for the Hillary haters and the media to get on the band wagon to condemn her. But she is a strong woman of enormous intelligence, political skill and fortitude to handle her opponents, Democrats or Republicans.

If she stumbled on one question about the driver license, she was piled on for weeks, but when Obama Edwards and others made the same mistake, it was generously excused by the media. Nagative campaigning among the Democrats will not help the party. Edwards and Obama need to recognize that. Edwards should know better, because these tactics did not help him in 2004 and won't help him in 2008. Besides in reality Iowa is still tied up and there are 50 more days to go. Hillary will be the Democtatic nominee, who will win the general election.

I commend Eleanor for her honesty and candor. Washinton Post is another credible media outlet. Shotti.

I am glad that someone finally posted something about the investigation that cost alot of money and the fact that a in office President was ever put on a witness stand. The judge should be disbarred! Furthermore, who would ever compare Hillary to Laura Bush?!?!? Read a few books on Hillary's past as well as her preparation to lead America? Wake up America...she is qualified and Obama is not! When are they going to investigate Ms. Rice and this administration????? kwc

It is interesting how the media has to turn everything into a Clinton "win." Hillary's Nevada debate was supposedly one of the "five best ever" but you admit that she didn't gain anything "from engaging in a shouting match with Edwards" and that her claim about winning "felt a little bit like braggadocio." You neglected to mention her immense blunder in claiming that people who earn more than $90,000 a year are "middle class" -- an argument that she stepped into just to be contrary to Obama.

She is a rank Amateur with a powerful cheering section in the media. If you watched her Jefferson Jackson speech you realized that she just doesn't have the "it" required for high level politics. Nobody wants to admit that she is only on stage because of her last name, but it is true. There are many much more able women politicians, but she happens to be the one with the powerful husband.

Why are people so afraid of the Clintons that everyone is ganging up on them. First, Bill Clinton, The Republicans pushed for an investigation into various topics only to find the lousy personal mistake and it took the taxpayers $55,000,000 to uncover and embarass the Clintons. Next, Hillary. Why is the media in concert questioning her electability. How much did these people get paid? Or is it, "You do it, or you're fired!" situation?

Let's be honest...HIllary's negatives are too high..she is simply not a believable hujman.

Yada,Yada,Yada Thats the media in their comments on anything to do with the race for a Democratic nominee. They have to put down Hillary, and come up with any type of nit picking positive about any other candidate because writing the truth about Hillary being so far ahead is just too too boring,so they create anything negative they con just to get read. You can stop now ,people .The public has figured your ploys out a long time ago.
