It is a very wise move to move this peace process small steps at a time. Ease into peace as opposed to sudden change. Sudden change causes chaos. ie. assasination of Rabin in 1994 and Sharon's visit to the temple mount were events that have fueled divisivness. Whether this peace plan works or not we must continue to try and solve problems. Governments must encourage citizens of all backgrounds to get involved with organizations in their countries that develop policies that provide solutions. An enviornment must be created where social and economic reform in the Middle East can take place. I really think that all governments; Arab; Jewish, American, European, African should each have civilian committees that comprise of everyday people and religious leaders. These men and women will negotiate with their peers from other countries and share with eachother solutions to improve everyday life for themselves and their families. Could you Imagine a Palestinian doctor conversing with a Jewish doctor, a Palestinians religious leader discussing economics with a Jewish religious leader. Or a Palestinians woman discussing issues with a Jewish women. After meeting with eachother these committees of peace comprised of everyday people report to their governments and provide suggestions to ease gridlock. I really think that the more people that get involved in this process the better chance we have to achieve peace. Let's give our President some support now, he is trying. We must never let the forces of evil and divisivness stop the peace process.

AMERICA BEWARE...God has already stated in his word..."Dividing Israel." Any one who have any part dividing (Israel) would suffer his wrath.

AMERICA, CONGRESS, MR. President, "Have no sides (Dividing) the land of "Israel." That is, if you want to see America continue in her prosperity.

Just as sure as America, make amends with the enemies of "The Children of Israel" God is going to send his wrath over here...

...THAT LAND belongs to "Israel." Not the Palistians. It was wrong for the Israel Government to push the (Settlers) out of their homes for the Palistians. "KING DAVID" would have never did it.

ISRAEL...fight for your land! GOD IS WITH YOU! DON'T give place to the negotiations or agreements.

HOW MUCH MORE...do the haters of Israel want. These people want to PUSH the ISRAELis completely out of their LAND!

CONDI...Speak on the behalf of the Children of Israel...STAND IN THEIR DEFENSE!

THERE WILL NEVER be no peace with the enemies of Israel.

ISRAEL STAND UP AND FIGHT AS your (FOREFATHERS). BE STRONG, and not weak! for GOD is with thee.

IF THIS PRESIDENT "President Bush" do not take a STAND, this country will suffer more violence. There will be more trouble in the weather, and more volience in the land of America.

WE THE Saints of GOD, watches over this land for God. God Is with Us...YOU MUST Hear us. We are God's mouth.

WE MUST STAND AND FIGHT with "The SEED of Abraham."

WE ARE having enough problems over here already. DON'T cause more problems by disobeying GOD!

America is not the new Israel and we are not the new Israelites commissioned by God to spread the gospel of Americanism throughout the world via the military or Wal-Mart. Spain, Germany, France, Italy and England all tried their own versions of manifest destiny and failed. America will fail also. America has only itself to blame for 9/11. If it hadn't meddled in other countries' affairs none of that would have never happened. Explain to me why it is whenever an Arab nation commits an act of terrorism America yells out, "Murderer!", but whenever Israel commits an act of terrorism America mumbles, "Israel has a right to defend itself". Also tell me this: If there IS a God then why is our nation at war? How can you claim to worship the so-called Prince of Peace and vote for a warmongering president?

George W. Bush's obtain one really wonderful success that will enable him to be remembered in a positive light. It???s called ???his legacy???.

A reading of history tells us that the likelihood of success is very remote. Bill Clinton, the master of communications, was unable to bring Yasser Arafat and Ehud Barak to agree on a peace settlement. George W. Bush is not known for is diplomatic talent. This AP analysis dated November 25 is worthwhile http://apnews.excite.com/article/20071125/D8T4Q05O0.html. How can he bring two groups that have been fighting for 60 years together in peace?

It is a nice gesture to bring all the Arab nations to this conference but the only two groups needed for peace are the Israelis and the Palestinians. As long as Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists continue to attack Israel there will not be a sustainable peace. The Palestinians do not have the will to stop the terrorists.

I expect that the Arab nations will demand land from Israel as a trade for peace. Israel has already withdrawn from southern Lebanon, the Sinai Peninsula, and Gaza but those withdrawals have not brought any peace. Will Israel???s withdrawal from the Golan Heights and all of the West bank territories bring peace? Sorry to say but I do not believe the Arabs will be satisfied until there is no state of Israel.

What we see here is Bush, standing at mid-court with seconds left on the clock, making a one-handed hurl towards the basket. Actually pulling off middle-east peace would require all kinds of preparations he isn't tempermentally suited to make -- not least a concerted effort to gain the respect of both sides and an international reputation as a wise and fair player. Still, while the ball is in the air, even folks on the opposite team can hope that it goes in -- perhaps the luck of choosing the correct time may overcome the lack of skill, and we shall all be the beneficiaries.

BruceGee1962, how is Bush's current effort any different than Clinton's? Clinton apparently "nurtured" American image abroad. In the meantime, Saddam was shooting at American planes. The North Koreans flouted Madeline Albright's bribes by building a nuclear weapon. Al-Qaeda attacke the WTC once, the USS Cole, and the American Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The Palestinians and Israelis descended into the worst bloodshed in their history - after a last minute Clinton-brokered peace effort failed. So much for "nurturing our international reputation," eh?

BruceGee1962......maybe we should put you in charge. After all, you seem to know so much more than President Bush. Or are you just one of those who knows how to critize the actions of others, bad mouth every action of "the other side", without offering alternative solutions......like our elected Democrats!

You should pull your head out of that donkey's azz and take a look around once in awhile.

Look to the history of our recent past. The holocaust...I have been told if one doesn't learn from the mistakes of the past and correct them that one is destined to repeat it!

What about a national day of fasting and prayer? Of humble repentance?

  • Posted By: Lordbemagnified @ 11/29/2007 3:34:09 PM

Look to the example anciently of the people of the city of Ninevah. That city was spared total destruction upon their repentance when heeding the warning...Remember Sodom and Gomorrah who didn't heed..Look what happened to them. Repent America!

Giving Land to an enemy for peace is like giving your lunch money to a bully at school. Do you think he'll stop his aggression and taking if you concede?

There is only one WAY to Peace for all mankind, and that is the observance and application of God's Royal Law - The Ten Commandments. There is no other way.

President Bush and his administration may have good intentions, but his unrealistic date for completion of this extremely complex issue ("by the end of 2008) seems to say that he is more interested in getting credit for doing something during his tenure as president than in actually solving the problem. Undue haste will only hasten the demise of (Another) peace effort. The true solution to this problem lies GENERATIONS into the future, because it demands the grand-scale re-education of millions of people vis-a-vis long held beliefs.

Israel does want peace, but, those other folks simply want to wallow in their self imposed victimhood and continue causing bloodshed forever while blaming others.

Isreal will never not now or later be wiped off the face of the earth because God protects her !!!!! It would be wonderful if we lived in a world of peace but until Jesus comes back that will never happen either !! God Bless All !!!!

Amates, you make no sense. Israel is military far superior to any of its neighbors. If it wanted to drive Arabs out of the middle east, why would it give up Sinai and south Lebanon? If it wanted to commit ethnic cleansing, then wouldn't make more sense to follow the examples of your Muslims in Pakistan (wiped out the Hindu and Christian communities in 2 years) or your Arabs in Darfur (mass murder and raping of ethnic Africans)?

we made them we armed them we watch them sell weapons to China against the armes ban and yes clensing "the American way" we tollerate a retaliation of 5 helios and 12 sidewinder missles into an entire neighborhood to avange the sucide bombing that killed 4 and wounded 15 and according to our [the USA] response was "oh that's cool with us anything you do is kool with us it's biblicaly so" if they wanted they could wipe out everyone, as they are a nuclear country, and the clensing is being done daily slowly but deliberatly! They give what they know they can take back at will, so what they give is dirt and unjust rule of the region, end to end, with our blessing, and FULL MILITARY asst? as you said they have the largest why would we need to bleed, as you know we will, if they were to demand it, and they would, just to save there own skins as they too danced when the WTC fell!

      • Posted By: Shankardada2 @ 11/28/2007 3:40:15 PM

PinkPanther, your response is very confusing, because of the ambiguous pronouns. Let's put it this way. If Israel was anything like the Arab barbarians surrounding it, Israel would have occupied Damascus and Cairo in 1967 and performed the kind of ethnic cleansing that Sudanese Arabs are performing in Darfur today. If the assymetry of military power were in favor of the Arabs, Israel would be wiped off the map. Indeed, this is what Hamas and Hezbollah want now. It is what Jordan, Syria, and Egypt wanted in 1948 and 1967. But unfortunately for them, the Arabs are now weak. When the Palestinians attack the Israelis with stones and mortars, they will be crushed with sidewinders and laser-guided bombs. What Palestinians needed in the face of such overwhelming odds was a Gandhi, who led a peaceful resistance movement in India that shamed the superior British forces into leaving. Instead they got an Arafat, who fought a war of attrition which drove his people into the ground.
