    I cannot believe this article (political assasination torpedo) is from newsweek. It is poorly written and totally biased and draws deductions - eroneously all over the place.....Shame on newsweek. And I must wonder about your bias.....Do you write stories like this about Bill Clintons past and the 'New Nixonian' Hillary Clinton and her FBI files appearing suddenly in her White House quarters. ... I dont know ...maybe you will touch on the issues there.

    I'll never forget how Rudy egged-on police officers rioting at City Hall in '92. He cheered them on as they called Mayor Dinkins a "***" and a "Pullman Car porter", and as a Black New Yorker (who favors law and order) I knew these gun-carrying bigots were a danger to the racial minorities in NYC. Accordingly, when Police Officer Justin Volpe sodomized Abner Louima in a NYC police station I knew Rudy's tacit support of hostility toward Blacks by cops had finally born fruit. Rudy is a cruel (his mistreatment of Donna Hanover shocked even jaded New Yorkers), double-talking (e.g., his flip-flopping on gun control to win conservative votes) opportunist who is exploiting middle-American fears of terrorism to gain the White House. He is tyrannical (as a lawyer, what was he thinking when he shut down those Brooklyn Museum exhibits?! Everyone knew though they had no artistic merit, they were constitutionally protected) and a bully who would nominate a thug like Bernie Kerik to an office of state knowing Kerik's ethical lapses and limited formal education (Kerik picked up a mail-order Bachelor's degree while he was police commissioner), but also knowing Kerik would divert business to his security consulting firms. Americans deserve better. We don't need to be frightened into voting for this Hitleresque con man who in his ruthless desire to control all facets of American life will find powers for the Executive Branch the Founding Fathers never dreamed of. Indeed, the best thing about having him as Mayor was that there were higher political leaders who could stop him if necessary. If he moves into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Americans will have no protection and God help us.

    If 10% of what the authors say is true, voters should run, not walk, away from Rudy Giuliani. Since this is not the first time we've heard this stuff, I suspect 10% is way too low.

      Major media is a major dispenser of moral relativisms and equivocations. Bad is not really bad, good is not really good; good and bad are equal moralisms. It isn't cheating if you don't get caught. Moral is a generic term for media, they can use the word as a descriptive for both saint and sinner because they do not recognize that any qualitive difference exists. Hense the routine oxymorons in routine journalism. The irony is these self appointed "expert intelligentia of the written word," can't even see it.

Notice the part of the line on the title "HIS moral code".....somewhere in his moral upbringing he forgot his 10 commandments.

    Giuliani the same mayor that half NYC hated prior to 911. What a great history he has had at being a World Leader, a husband, picking Security Chiefs, and alienating his kids. Obviously with all these achievements and superior traits. he should be promoted by the news media and the corporate world to be a President, FEMA director, a decider, or the Pope. Who needs an election, being the Mayor of NYC is a qualification for everything.

      I don't get it. You say you're from Texas and this is all you see? You should be screaming about the border, the NAU and the coming government engineered extinction of America as a nation. You see it first hand down there. You make the mistake so many do, fighting among ourselves over the minutae when
      the very survival of our nation is in mortal jeopardy. The Democrats are giving her away, the Republicans are selling her off. THAT'S the overriding issue of this election. Instead, people argue about ideology. There is truth the to old expression; "Divide and Conquer." While the politicos pretend to be at odds, both work for the same end, the dessolution of our nation. The dog and pony show they put on serves only to divide and conquer. Americans need to stand shoulder to shoulder, vote AMERICA, red white and blue and toss the whole lot of them out of Congress and refuse to vote either Democrat or Republican for President. Mickey Mounse can run for President as an Independent, doesn;t matter who. Just as long as it's neither major party. THAT will be a statement that will be impossible to ignore. TOSS THEM ALL!
