This is true about how well he cleaned up the cesspool NYC once was, but will it play in Peoria? NYC is not the nation and the rest of us do not need a dictator, benevolent or otherwise, arbitratily deciding whether or not people have the right to bear arms. The Consitution has decided that for all time, His Royal Highness, not withstanding.

Giuliani did not divorce his first wife-cousin of 14 years: he had the marriage annulled. And, it is Sing Sing as "ordinaryjoe" points out. Otherwise, outstanding article. I am sending it to everyone I know. Giuliani is a scary guy and the more people become aware of this, the better off will our country be.

Scary is the right descriptive. He's for gun control. I'm against anyone who would play fast and loose with Constitutional Rights. He's a lawyer, so WE know he knows better. So you're right on 2 accounts, that he's scary and that the more people know about him the better off our country will be; sans Guilani decreeing confiscatory gun laws.

Don't believe anything with Isikoff's name attached to it. He's the guy who invented the story of US soldiers flushing copies of the Koran down the toilet...which is what you should do with this article.

    Excellent liberal stooge piece.

I'm afraid that this "hit" on Rudy is only the begining of a 10 month crusade on any republican who has a chance in 08. I lived and worked in NYC well before and after Rudy was mayor and the positives were far more effective then any negatives. This city was transformed for the better in a couple of years You had the "live it" in order to understand the improvements.
Please give Hillary the same treatment ,as you have plenty of goodies in her past to chosse from.

While far from perfect, he "gets it" on two very important issues. Number one, he recognizes militant islam as the #1 problem facing our country (not to mention humanity) today. By telling the saudi anti-semite to stick his $10M check up his ass right after 9/11...has any politician done something so profoundly righteous in our lifetime? I doubt it. Number two, by being somewhat liberal socially (pro-abortion, pro-gay rights) he is clearly not looking to run your personal life like so many socially conservative republicans want to do. And that he has not changed this position even while speaking in front of a group of christian fundamentalism shows real courage. One could come up with just as many (if not more) failings of every candidate. Despite this, Rudy is definitely a favorable choice to congenital liar hillary clinton, economic leftist obama, and the one man who probably is costing every american an extra few hundred dollars a year on their health insurance--the ambulance chasing and simplsitic hypocrite john edwards.

Interesting hit piece. Now, let me see if I got this straight: By his conduct at the "police riot," Giuliani lost the Black vote (which he never had in the first place), but solidified his support from the PBA. The NYC PD has approximately 40,000 sworn officers. Assuming all of them are white (which isn't so), they apparently tilted the scales in favor of Giuliani's election, twice. Somehow this doesn't make sense.

I don't have a party to stick to, antitv. I look at the issues and Guliani is Hillery II, their only difference is that she wears a skirt. No doubt, Guliani was the man of the hour at 9-11 and I will always be glad that he threw that check back in the Saudi Prince's face. But he is a social liberal, the sheep in wolve's clothing and if I'm going to vote for a socialist, I will vote for the one is at least honest enough to admit he's one. You are RIGHT that Americans should forget "party," it's manifestly OBVIOUS that party has forgotten us. Any candidate who is not on record against globalism and the North American Union IS on record against America. THAT is the primary issue that Americans need to consider. There are few candidates running who are against the NAU and Americans need to choose among those few. And since the one thing Americans agree on is the piss poor job of Congress, I suggest they stop sending them back. Toss all incumbants, Congress was NEVER meant to be a career choice. We need a fresh start with ALL new people. If we the people enforce term limits thru the ballot box, maybe those in
DC will start representing us again and not their own best interests.

See, a majority of Americans won't read this, or even care about the truth about a candidate. They just stick to their party, and not worry about anything except watching American Idol or ESPN. That's probably why they re-elected a douche bag (aka president Bush) who thinks the constitution is just "a g-d*mned piece of paper."

This article is a whitewash. For example, you fail to mention that Rudy has admitted he was told about Kerik's dealings with a company with probable mob ties, but claims that he has no memory of it. That a US prosecutor would not remember being told this about a close friend defies logic.
You also fail to point out that Monsignor Placa was not charged with molestation because the statute of limitations had run out or that the Church took the charges seriously enough to suspend Placa.
In addition, you fail to point our that Rudy has had more than one adulterous affair. Worse, he was so blatant that he marched in a parade with one mistress, his current wife and possible first lady. This hardly the actions of a "sensitive" man.
These and other actions show that Mr. Guiliani's judgement is deeply flawed, a fact that the public deserves to know BEFORE deciding if he is suitable to be our president. By minimizing these issues, you do the public a grave disservice.

Newsweek's Evan Thomas et al. write a story making a Republican look as bad as possible. Yawn. Grandpa Norman would be proud of Evan's politics but would caution him about being so obviously biased.

Rudy is a threat to the liberal media and the Democrat Party. They know he's the only Republican that can win this election so they're going to do everything they can to make sure he's not the nominee.

Rudy transformed New York City; I know 'cause I worked there during his two terms as mayor. Also, no one talks about how great he was at shutting down the mafia when he was the US Attorney during the 1980s.

How can you do an article on Rudy's career and not mention the light sentence handed to Perlmutter?

  • Posted By: NaziHunter @ 11/25/2007 7:28:23 AM

You mean to say he is a self-loathing homosexual?
