An advice for President Bush is to realize his blunder in Pakistan and stop supporting an illegal, dictator,Pervaiz Mushraf.A man who is not sincere and honest with his own country and people cannot be any bodys freind.Nawaz is a politician who has his roots in Pakiatan who still inspires the masses, unlike Mushraf who is most hated man. All of Pakistan's politicians have been corrupt - while Musharraf is following a wiser strategy of international cooperation, that does not mean he has not been stealing from the country's coffers - he is merely the lesser of all evils.

All one has to do, is look at the Pakistan of the past...and the present one, that is moving toward the future. President Musharraf has done, is doing and incredibly dangerous job with incredibly wonderful results. I admire him greatly. Thank you for being a friend of the US...we don't forget our friends.

Sharif is the real democractic leader of the people of Pakistan. He did a great job of development in the country in the many sectors such as telecom and motorways. I hope he will be able to sideline the corrupt Dictator and his corrupt aides who have devouvered $10 billiion in aid from U.S.

Your headline should have said a FOX is return home. Please do not disrespect the lions by calling sharif a lion. If he wanted to come back he could have long time ago if he was true to his people he could have tried returning home before .Now the deal has been made and he is back.
He is from the Zia era he came to power becuse of military. His whole carrer start thanks to Mr zia-ul-haq.
Musharraf is th best thing ever happen to Pakistan.
After election nawaz sharif will be crying his heart out that election was bougus. If he'll win then election will be fare otherwsie election will be bogus....People of Pakistan needs to grow up and start remembring the past that who is who in poitics. These so called pakistani leaders sits home or abroad and ask other parents to sent there sons and daughters on street to get killed in bombing..how come never there own family memebr never got hurt or killed in these blast.Pakistani people have never seen these leaders families on the street .Since they can not ask there families to come to street then they need to stop asking Pakistani people to come out to street and make them more rich then they are all these so called leaders of pakistan do is become more rich day-by-day when they are in power.
All of the progress happen in pakistan under military ruler not under these so called political leadres all they did fill there banks and you are calling then lion shame on you

It is heartening that Musharraf at last left the army job..In his era of killings, 160 millions suffered becuase of his hatred policies..He did what he was asked to do by Bush..Not listened to his own countrymen..He is Shame Elected President by Pliant Judges..Private Media is shut down, how can u be proud of your own army when the army can't go out in markets, public places in its uniform? The political forces in Pakistan are the result of agencies..people vote for their representatives and the prime minister is always imported who has noroots in the public..finance, foreighn affairs and other key posts are never run by elected parliamentarians..Common man is suffering becuase of poverty, health and education issues..I totally agree with Mr. Manzoor "The general public wants to change its destiny but so far have failed"

In 1970 when I came to my Village Marghuz in District Swabi, NWFP Pakistan, I saw flags of different colours including red, greem and other colours on every house, fastened to the electricity supply pole of the house. I was astonished to see the heated discussions of Males and Females on the topic of politics. Some were praising Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, some Abdul Ghaffar Khan, some Abdul Qayyum Khan and some others. And on this topic, the females even quarrelled.
In 2007, you will see not two persons who discuss the politics, not single house where a flag of any political is hoisting. People have completely fed up because they have brought no change in their life. Now people just vote to that person who is well acquintted in the society and on personal basis.
I see no heat of election in my village and the same is the situation everywhere. All is due to the secret meetings of the top Political Personalities. The people are confused what to do. Some political parties say that election should be participated while some put forward legal justifications for avoding it. The general people want to change their destiny but so far have failed.

Right now, Musharraf is the only one who can help Pakistan get back on its feet financially and politically, while keeping the U.S. happy at the same time by "hunting down" religious extremists/terrorists in and around Pakistan. So, if it's between not having a constitution in Pakistan for a while (which doesn't really affect daily life over there too much anyway...) and being under a "state of emergency" (which, again, doesn't affect anyone all that much) versus having either Benazir or Nawaz come back to power, I'm with Musharraf on this one. Benazir and Nawaz should be locked away in prison for the billions of dollars that they have stolen from an already financially suffering third-world country.

    Welcome Welcome Mian saab Welcome.

The nation welcomes its exiled Prime Minister and want him to stand against the dictaorship of Musharraf and work for the restoration of judges constitution.

To freedom_for_all, the nation of Pakistan does not welcome the ex-prime ministers! It is just a few supporters. The majority welcoming them back on the streets were paid or lured to be there!

I am from India and knowing the sub-continent's politicians, it would be very foolish to believe that Benazir and Benazir can do anything for their country. Despite all the lackings, Indians strongly believe that Mushraff was the architect of Kargil and Nawaz Okayed the plan, he is battling on too many fronts. Most of Pakistan's problems were inherited by him and I do believe that he is doing the best in the circumstances. I don't think he can change the ISI and Pak's military interests within few years. Yes, the President can do better to make Pak more stable, but to think these two politicians could topple him and do something better for the country is too wishful.

Mush as they call him here is blieved, while a lot of people donot trust Nawaz and Benazir . They weakened Pakistan during thier 2 previous terms. Looters, as they are called will hardly win a majority even if they join hands in Jan 2008 elections. Soon as a civilian Mr Mush will settle for next five years. Pakistan will have a Kamal Ataturk soon.

reat now we have a terrorist running Isreal and Pak! so why do we agree with these terrorist but allow no other to play in there games, like the democraticaly elected Hammas or the democraticaly elected Chaves?? I guess it all depends if the terrorist is pro-American or not which runs our will and shows the world just how brainless and hypocritical we truly have become!!! We must own the world and keep it under our thumb and pay for it with poor people who are not worth being called American cause they don't make more than 20,000 a year and there kids make great cannon fadder for those who danced in the streets when the WTC blew up!!! We [America ] will bleed FOR ALL who danced!! As we do today!!! Support your local terrorist and vote???

Benazir and Nawaz Sharif are both corrupt and did nothing in the 2 chances both got. At least Musharraf generated financial strength for Pakistan. ok he did some wrong things this year, but compared to those two, he is really ok . Both Benazir and Nawaz Sharif should be sent to jail forever.

if we ask Pakistanis "are you better off with Mush or in the two terms of these lunatics (Benazir, Nawaz" The Answer is resounding YES we are with MUSH. Now both Benazir and Nawz see the billions of dollars in Pakistan's treaurey, they want to comeback and "SAVE"
    Pakistan..what a joke..Here is a link fo Benazir's loot http://www.samsloan.com/benazir.htm
