I don't know what religion you follow, if any, but you are a disgrace to your fellow Americans. A comment like that is totally ignorant on so many levels. First of all, neither Palestine, nor the Muslim Religion existed before the first Jews enterend Jeruselem; so even without archaelogical evidence, it is pretty obvious who the land ORIGINALLY belonged to; whether they later had to leave it is another issue. The fact that they did and someone else came in is one of the main problems here. Secondly, Jeruselem is a MAJOR World historical center, with so many culters passing through there it is impossible to name them all. But to point out a few, how about the Greeks, Romans, Europeans, slaves brought in from all over the world during antiquity who later settled there (as they did so many other parts of the world) people from the Orient, and all the religious groups that follow all those people through the mellenia? To say nothing of the fact that the World's THREE major Religions (not just two of them, but ALL three) were there and consider it a Holy Site? Judaism did not start there, but became strongest there; It is their Holiest City. Christianity started there and it is one of it's Holiest Cities and the Muslim Faith also calls it one of theirs as well. All three of these Faiths are "People of the Book"; something the Muslims refer to us as. That means we all believe in the Old Testament. However, we follow different paths when it comes to more modern aspects of our Faiths. It is those aspects and peoples' intolerence to others' beliefs not being the same as theirs that causes a lot of the problems. But not ALL of them.

Maybe you should learn a lot more before you shoot off your mouth. How would you like it if someone said people should come in and plow a city of OURs into the sea and move on? Oh, wait, someone tried; with airplanes instead. We didn't like it all that much, did we?

And what faith does your American heart follow? If it is Christianity of any sort, you don't know much about your OWN religion. Christians also call Jeruselem the home of their Religion and a Holy Site. Muslims and Jews may not get along all that well (or at least, not the fanatics; but then the Muslims do know (or at least the ones who actually follow their religion properly and don't go in for Jihads, etc.) that all three of the World's major Religions (no offenses to any others, but those three are the largest ones) follow The Book, or are People of the Book, as Muslims call us. All three of us, including Christians, believe in the Old Testatment; it is just in the newer parts of the separate Faiths do things differ. We all have so much in common, why can't we just remember that???

Besides, the Jews were there first, then were forced to leave for some reason. Then the Muslims moved in. Palastine didn't even exist when the origianl Jewish people made their way into Jeruselem, nor did the Muslim faith. As for plowing down one of the World's oldest cities, why in the name of whatever God you believe in would you want to do that??? Forget the religious aspect, what about the historical significance? So much of the World's history passed through there: Greek, Roman, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, European, and on and on... That city was a crossroad for the World; you can't just raize it.

Cates you are contradicting yourself throughout your entire opinion, you cannot claim both that your are fair-minded and Jews insult disgusting, arrognat, greedy, deceptive. It is 100% UN-fair to claim that a religion that currently isn't blowing up both friend and foe in the name of their "imaginary" god is in even remotely the same group as organized crime associations! Let's compare apples to apples here. I think it would have been fairer to say the AARP (American Association of Retired People) or even your local chamber of commerce.

Jewish people also don't claim to be any more special than any other organized religion. Christians have their own reward for following their rules, Muslims are rewarded for following theirs, Buddhists are rewarded for following their rules. ALL religions think their God or way of living makes them more special than the rest of us.

Fair minded people do not judge, do not name call. You do both. Your anti-semitic remarks are small minded and do not impress any feelings of kinship between you and the rest of us fair minded people who thought your comments were out with the first half of the LAST century with the defeat of the Nazi party. And by the way, who did your ancestors steal their land from?

I find it odd that in your one sided, pointed response that you not only a) imply that "the rest of us" share your opinion b) can make such comments referring to yourself as fair-minded. You presented a very closed-minded argument attacking a religious groups beliefs with insults. Fair minded people are not so quick to judge or accuse and don't shout insults at people for holding beliefs contrary to their own. And comparing an organized, widley accepted religion to an organized crime group is childish, especially since you are name calling one of religions that is NOT out committing mass murders in the name of their "imaginary God".

Jewish people do not claim anything different from the other organized religions out there as far as being anoited as "special". Christians are rewarded with their own heaven, Muslims are rewarded with their own version. Everyone thinks their own religion is far more special than the lowly rest of us and their god will reward them for following his commandments, whatever they may be.
