    Wow, this is one of the most ridiculous articles I've read in a while. Any reporter worth her or his salt should know that that correlation can NEVER be assumed to be the same thing as causation. You do not present any facts at all to bolster the idea that because some of the cities that are considered to be low crime also have high immigrant populations proves that it's the immigrants that make those cities safer. Did it occur to you to consider things like law enforcement, median income, number of gangs and other factors that have been proven to impact crime? I am very disappointed. I expect a lot more than this kind of shoddy, biased reporting from Newsweek.

    This article is deceptively misleading. While it's true that crime has fallen in some large cities, the reason for that is the displacement of the even higher crime native black population. Immigrants themselves commit crimes at a higher rate than the native population but problems multiply in the 2nd and 3rd generations in which Hispanic crime is fully 3 times higher than the native rate.
