Chucktatorhip? teehee! I'll be dead before Chuck Norris tells me the way America is going to be. The last thing America needs is a gun loving douche bag taking charge. I bet you 5 bucks this isnt the way our forefathers dreamed we would end up. Tisk Tisk.

optimus, you said "The last thing America needs is a gun loving douche bag taking charge." How do you think America became a Great Country, I'm sure guns made it posible. You would not be around to make your 5 buck bet it it wasn't for Americans that fought with guns to keep this country free. Dont forget one of your freedoms in America is you can leave if you dont like it.

Our forefathers certainly never dreamed the country they fought so hard to build based on Godly beliefs would end up the way it is now. Mike Huckabee is a good, moral person who is trying to make a difference in the negative turn this country has taken in the last 15 - 20 years. Look at our school systems, children being shot and killed in classrooms. And no it isn't because we have gun rights in this country, it is because of the moral decay of our country. There are very few young people now who have respect for anything. The things they are allowed to watch on TV, the music they listen to and the games they play all teach them that life is cheap, that they don't have to respect anyone, even their parents, and they can do what they want to and there shouldn't be consequences attached to their actions. Parents don't discipline their children anymore because they are afraid someone will report them for abuse! I shudder to think what this nation will be like in 50 years when that generation comes into power. Thankfully, I am sure I won't be here to witness it. As a born again Christian, I will be in the presence of my Lord and Savior. And I am sure there are scoffers and antagonists out there who will laugh about that statement.. I don't care, I know what I believe and what I stand for. Do you? And should you be right and there is no afterlife, I will still have lived my life happily, the way I want to. On the othe hand, if YOU are wrong, where will you be? I think Mike Huckabee is a wonderful candidate for president, and I think Chuck Norris is a great advocate to have in his corner. I will certainly vote for Mr Huckabee. As will all the people who have known him throughout the years, in church and politically. They know the real man. Hang in there Mike!! We need more folks like you in times like these!!!

Way to go Chuck! We need more people who stand for principal since our liberal counter parts are too busy dismantling the security of our country. And if you don't like it here; go to Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, etc.

Amen..Amen...you tell them...Quit whining and see how great our country really is. take it from someone who moved here as a child but is now a proud citizen of this great place.

Huckabee is likeable as a minister. My question is this: "now that the whole world is on alert to defend themselves from terrorism; how would Huckabee ever make it as a warrior"? With or without Chuck Norris, I don't see Huckabee as a strong enough personality to raise our flag and charge forward!

    • Posted By: miamiman @ 12/07/2007 10:13:47 AM

Do your research. hes Tough GunOwning and conservative and Chucks there to help him with the warrior thing(chucks a real warrior) It can work.

you shouldnt vote for the person who believes in god. you should vote for the person who has the idea's and plans to help bring this country out of the bad times that its in now.

    • Posted By: Starrweaver @ 12/06/2007 6:27:51 AM

I read in an interview that Bush said that he invaded the middle east because God told him to!! This is also the guy that after being sworn in as our president made the comment that "this job would be easier if I was a dictator." - Now today, look at all the power grabs, the illegal and immoral legacy that he's given this country. No wonder the US has fallen in ranking with the UN - our country has been invaded and the enemy is our own gov't and the corrupted inner circle that is the bush administration.
The question is...what do we do now?

      • Posted By: miamiman @ 12/07/2007 10:05:00 AM

first thing we should do especially in response to this forum is stay with the subject. youve got Bush on the mind syndrome. everything is his fault: hurricanes/how green the grass is today etc. tired of you obsesssed Bush bashers. Thats My Bush! go Huck -n- Chuck

  • Posted By: astack @ 12/05/2007 2:55:28 PM

I believe the former comment is great in summing up a liberal's view of anyone who has values and principles....absolutely discusting....Huckabee has said numerous times he is not running for pastor of America, but president of America. However, to suggest shooting someone because they vote based on values and principles is loathsome. At least Huckabee stands for something!

    • Posted By: miamiman @ 12/07/2007 9:59:13 AM

so true, its hard to make a stand in the modern world which so hates principle. better to make a spineless ambigious platform which appeals to everyone and noone at the same time?(see DEms)

    • Posted By: hasimp @ 12/05/2007 3:10:32 PM

Religion should have nothing to do with being President! I caught CNN this morning and they were talking about Obama being Muslim, wich he is not but they were saying that pretty much noone would vote for him if he was. That is stupid!!! Oh and yes those ppl should be shot. lol

This is a classic example of how 99% of the leftists in this country who accuse Republicans of wanting a theocracy, don't have a clue what a theocracy is. When I see people being executed for publishing a paper denying the truth of the Trinity, or a presidentaial election in which someone like Pat robertson or Bishop Eugene Robinson has he power to legally disqualfy a candidate from running for President, (which is what happened in the "election" in Iran that put Ahmadineiad in power) then we can start saying America is a theocracy. The fact is that there is no candidate running for President from either party that favors anything remotely like that. Issues like abortion, capital punishment, birth control etc. are MORAL issues, not theocratic ones, because these issues deal with human behavior,

Are you serious? Chuck Norris? I'll consider Governor Huckabee once he realizes the president of the United States is supposed to make the government work for all people and that it's not just for the faithful. This country was founded on the separation of church and state with the idea of protecting people from religious persecution. That is why overt religious symbols are kept out of government buildings, to prevent the perception that one religion is more worthy than another. Frankly, I am sure the signers of the Declaration of Independence are rolling in their graves right now.

I've never been a republican but there was a time when this party at least had some semblance of respect. They, along with democrats, believed in the power of the federal government to do great things and believed the government should take the lead in fostering investment in our country's infrastructure, and in education and research. Today the Republican Party is a pathetic joke, completely taken over by this tyrannical wave of Kmart Kristians like Chuck Norris and Mike Huckabee. At a time when this country desperately needs a president to show leadership in areas like science and education, the republicans are putting forth clowns like Huckabee who, in the freaking 21st century, are disavowing the theory of evolution. After 7 years of leadership from these Flat Earth Society idiots, we sit here with massive deficits, the Middle East in chaos, record oil prices, a non-existent middle class, and are despised thought the world.
The most sickening thing about all these wing nut holey rollers is their stunning perversion of the very religion they claim to follow. Jesus was a man who lovingly cared for the sick and the poor and fought against financial greed. When attacked, Jesus would turn the other cheek. Does this sound like the principles being exhibited by the republicans of today? For Christ's sake, if a poor, hungry person came across some border to Jesus he would have been accepted like a brother. Mike Huckabee, a "Christian", wants to send Chuck down to the border to kick some ass.
Look, I know there are difficult problems surrounding illegal immigration. But I'm sick and tired of these modern, right wing republicans spewing war and hate with one breath and then claiming all this Christian holy righteousness with the next. Then there is the absolute love affair with guns. Now there is a real Christ like way to be.
Enough! Mike Huckabee can go back to Arkansas were he can thump his Bible and peddle Amway products. Chuck can stick to demonstrating Christian principles in his movies by kicking people in the head.

A voice of reason and insight in a sea of confusion, ignorance and religious bellowing! Those that believe the country was "founded" by Christians, really need to go back and relearn their history. Maybe visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Founding_Fathers_of_the_United_States and get a real education. One statement stands out - "Regardless, the division of church and state was always emphasized by the founding fathers. "The government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion," states the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli. This document was ratified by Congress without much debate or contention and stands today as a reminder of the founding fathers' intentions.["
Just because the words "In God we Trust" were added to our financial monies, doesn't really establish which God that they are speaking of - at least not in the current state of affairs where the profit mongers and the Capitalists in their greed have catapolted our nation into war over oil. Doubt me? Who is making millions in this war? What gov't officials have bank accounts that are now growing grossly with the profits made off the war?
This generation has indeed taught a powerful lesson to the future generation that waits....I hope that they reject our current realilty and decide to build a better future for all mankind....if there is anything left for them to build on when it's their turn....

The quotingt is anopther example of how the political left justifies many of their beliefgs by taking quotes completely out of conext and bending it like a pretzel until it conforms to their rpejudices. As a history buff and a two-time quiz show cahmpion let me point out that the quote from the Treaty of Tripoli is a reference to the Crusades. We did not invade Iraq (and for the record I, like Ron Paul, have been against the war in Iraq ever since Bill Clinton started it with his 1998 bombing campaign, which was continued by George W. Bush almost right up to the April 2003 ground invasion) because Saddam Hussein was a Muslim, we invaded him because he was a horrific dictator that the vast majority of elected officials in BOTH PARTIES believed (wrongly) was a threat to this country. Contrary to the this left wing nonsense, the invasion of Iraq was not a repudiation of the Treaty of Tripoli.
As per the "In God We Trust" motto comment, if George Bush made the kind of idiotic claim this writer did the Al Frankens, The Daily Kos types, the Keith Olbermans, and probably a large part of the rest of the left would be making comments about how much of an idiot GWB is. And I would not be arguing with them about that either.
I could make another long post about other examples, such as Jefferson's "Wall of Separation of Church and State" as well as the quote "Judge not lest ye be judged" from the Sermon on the Mount, both of which have also been twisted beyond recognition by the political left.

This just shows you say you know jesus but I bet he doesnt know you,It just shows your hate for christianity and the free representative republic we live and the sacrifice that most of us know that it takes to keep this country free.As far as my love of the second amendment and my right to defend my home and family from people who would harm me is my choice. You will also be destressed to learn that I love to hunt also. Its people like you that makes me glad that I live in A country where I can counter your opinions with mine and it also makes me very glad youre not the dictator of this country.wheres your tollarance of other peoples views and lifestyles. when is the last time a gun done anything to harm you without human intension.what if three or four large unarmed men break in your house in the night what are you going to do to protect your family ,thier are other ways they can harm you without a firearm ,but there will be no way you can stop them without one.go ahead and give the entire responsibility of your life and safety to the government.Go ahead im sure government can solve all your problems and protect you .theyve done a good job at everything else.

Mr Huckabee has become my choice because I feel all the others will be "politics as usual". It doesn't matter what side of the aisle they sit on. We need someone who will be strong enough when necessary, yet maintain common sense and stay calm in face of adversity. And... like Chuck, Mr. Huckabee is smart enough to have a sense of humor. Unbelievable. A politician who doesn't hate. I hope the voters wake up and drop their party politics and vote for the best candidate - Mike Huckabee.

Enough hating! We always *** and complain about our nation. If we are at war like now the president is wrong and we should be out of Iraq. If we don't go into war like Clinton, then we are wimps for not standing up for our nation. I just want somebody that thinks, "What is the best for me and my family", if that is going and kicking someone's behind in an foreign country well then I will do it. We tend to forget that we should have loyalty and respect for our nation, but yet some of you want to run and go somewhere else because it is better in France or Canada. What happened to the first setllers here in America did they go back to where they came from because it was very hard and their lifes were at stake. We need to get back what we lost, some of us need to grow a set, if you know what I mean, stop bitching about Bush, and make a difference in your family's life. We need to show people not to mess with us and because of all the fighting within our nation other nations are seeing us as weak. We need to stand as one and see the matter through. When 911 happened we were all a nation at that particular time because we all mourned for the lost and we all had that sence of pride as a nation. When we went to war, we all agreed it was for the best and we were all together, now we want to jump off the wagon because the war is taking so long and we are loosing soldiers. We have lost people very close to us in the war but, that was their duty and we are proud of them. When you join the forces you know the possibilities are there of not coming back, but you still do it to render honor to your nation. In other countries all citizens join the forces and pay their duties with service to their country here the ones that join are optional and we are still blaming our government. I would understand if we were forced to join the forces and then we die at war then you blame the government because we had no choice, but here in the USA we have a choice so don't blame the government for deaths at war they happen. We need to show the nations not to mess with us anymore, that is why we need a president that is not affraid, because every president has been talked about and disliked while in term but we need someone that won't be swayed by what his legacy will be and just be the peson to do what needs to be done.

I was a backer of Mike Huckabee before Mr. Norris endoresed him. Since that moment I an even more of a supporter..Both of these men are Christians. That doesn't mean they are "perfect". It just means they are "forgiven". They are still human and will make mistakes. We all do. His governorship in Arkansas wasn't without problems. But neither has any other "president" "governor", or even all the way down to the lowly "mayor" jobs been without problems. It's how you solve the problems that's the key. We need someone in the presidents office that has some common sense along with knowledge of our foreign policy. Think about it people before you cast your vote..

  • Posted By: sunshine42 @ 12/05/2007 8:52:07 AM

Chuck is backing the wrong horse. The whole country needs to look at Huckabee's governorship in Arkansas. We are taxed for everything here in Arkansas. He uses his Baptist pastorship to pull in the little ole ladies, etc, even though he does not follow them. He goes back to the good ole boys, where you grease my hand I will grease yours. Also ask him about his sons and how one got away with hanging a dog out in the woods. Nothing happen to him. Plus he touts being healthy, but he has not gotten his son healthy, who is if he considers being overweight bad, then he needs to work on his own family. You ever heard of a false prophet, well he would be one to watch.

      • Posted By: sunshine42 @ 12/06/2007 11:21:27 AM

Also look at the cost of living and how much you make in Arkansas and then compare the taxes paid. We have personal property tax that you have to pay each year on something you have already paid tax on a thousand times over. It is also supposed to go to the education, but our schools have not seen any of it. When they were trying to get him to work on the LR problem, he said let the Education board deal with it. He does care about education or how to improve it either.

What a moron. Yes I mean you jsteve7. You and those with your mentatlity have no idea how to put an original thought together. All you know how to do is parrot the latest blog or internet misnews. You really need to get yourself together and realize we are in deep trouble and need people with solutions and new ideas. This does not include your favorite Queen Hilary. If she wins you won't have to worry about me b/c I will move to Australia!!!!

    • Posted By: jsteve7 @ 12/02/2007 11:47:59 PM

So, Mr. Jones (I presume), I???m a moron you say. I find it interesting you say that yet put up exactly zero actual points in your reply. You go on to say I ???have no idea how to put an original thought together??? and yet where are the ???original??? thoughts in your reply? All you basically said was we are in trouble. Wow, now that???s original. How long did it take you to figure that one out? Well, at least we actually agree on something. I do have one question though. What is truly more important to you, electing a leader who will make things better than they are today, or a leader who simply spouts the same Christian Crap you probably do.

Please move to Canada like you liberals said you would go if Bush got re-elected, before a liberal like you gets into the white house. The last thing we need is a President whos ability to think is overpowered by illogical hate torwards a group of people or a person.

Someone on here said that we do have the freedom to leave if we don't like it. Yet how many people know that you have to pay the US gov't taxes for 7 years after you leave, even if you give up your citizenship or not. You are made to pay taxes here even if you don't stay here. With all this illegal immigration talk, maybe we should send the statue of liberty back to France. Because the words on her book, have not been true in this country for a long time. Those that came here to make a new life, to discover a new future....they would have never imagined the America that is today.
Take a look at the statistics, people are leaving this country that were born here and going to Canada, Europe and other places. Maybe it's just that the immigrants haven't learned that freedom here in the USA does have a price. It's called security....an illusion, but we seem to have given up more than we realize to supposedly feel "safe" in America. This is not the country I grew up in...I would like to find it again...because I want my children to feel the pride I did then...and not feel the fear that they do today. What kind of a future are we giving them? If things don't change, will there be a future for us...or them?

I don't really know what's going to become of the late great United States of America. This ad is just so lame it isn't even funny. I really get tired of the "political games" that go on in and before an election year. It's so sad that when it comes down to the real issues, the real problems and needs of the American people, there is no straight forward honesty or real discussion. It's jabs, digs and misdirection all around. Some of the answers make no real sense, it's just doubletalk and middle road, sitting on the fence type responses.
I worry about the future that awaits my children...with the way this country has fallen to #63 by the UN ranking, it just makes no sense. If I had the money, I might do what a bunch of people are doing. They are taking some serious time off and going someplace else. In Canada, Europe and elsewhere, my children may have the advantages and opportunities that we once had here. I've never been afraid of living in the US, until these last few years. People in America should not be afraid of their gov't - not in a country that is supposed to be a diplomatic leader with our Constitution. But that document hasn't escaped the terror that citizens now face in their own country. Terror perpetrated by it's own legal system, it's gov't leaders and military command. But who is giving the orders to target citizens? Just look to the white house and tell me that you still believe the people govern this country....
