This magazine is a moral mess. Do the research before you write and release articles that can be proven by your readers that you "talk" before you do your homework. Trying to discredit Dr. Paul when millions know of the existence of the NAFTA super highway as well as the Amero is the work of small people. Vicente Fox even spoke about both of these on Bill Mohrs show. I will never buy another issue of Newsweek again. Now I know not to go to you for the truth. You wouldn't know the truth if it bit you in the butt. I hope this magazine "folds" like a cheap suit. Liars.

Gretel, put down the eggnog and do your research!

Shame on you Gretel !! The notion that Mr Paul would be gullible enough to except a "fallacy" as fact puts you in the lead for the tinfoil beanie award. I lived in Kansas City for nearly 18 years, read the newspaper daily, and can assure you that the NAFTA super highway and the "proposed" NAU are indeed a fact!!! The chosen site for the major terminal in KC, Mo is the old Richards-Gebaur Airport in neighboring Grandview, Mo. There has been a political decision made on the local level that would allocate a section of Kansas City as sovereign Mexican territory !!! Personally , I find your attempt to downplay the NAU, NAFTA,WTO,SPP...etc as an effort to keep the blindfold drawn over the eyes of America.. Ron Paul wants to systematically eliminate all of the aforementioned threats to our sovereignty and restore the American Constitution to the status the founders had envisioned. Jerome Corsi is smarter in his sleep than you are while awake !!! And, on the subject of "spin", I would like to remind you that Mr Paul does not "spin" the facts. You obviously haven't done your research on Mr Paul. His voting record on the issues plus his integrity and honesty are beyond reproach....an admirable quality that is going to propel him into the White House in 2008.

Way to go! Put down an honorable and decent candidate without checking your claims. Ron Paul is telling the truth. Like the Immenent Domain law passed by the Bush Supreme Court wasn't part of this? Please, also refer to http://www.infratrans.gov.ab.ca/2760.htm, and retract your garbage reporting.

Looks like another reporter out to send disinfo and at the same time discredit an honorable man. For all your high salaried moron journalists please refer to: http://www.infratrans.gov.ab.ca/2760.htm. Lets' see if a retraction is forthcoming!

VP Dick Cheney, one time director at the Council on Foreign Relations, is a globalist who carries great weight in the current administration. Many of the frontrunner candidates for President, republican and democrat, have spoken at the CFR in support of furthering globalism (read, "loss of US sovereignty"). Hell, several of the Newsweek staff are members of the CFR and some even belong to the Trilateral Commission! Why does this matter? None of these people feel the United States should remain a sovereign nation, but rather be subject to international ruling elite. TTC-35 (NAFTA Superhighway) is part of this agenda and if it is fiction, why is the Mexican government opening a customs office in Kansas City? The American people are not stupid, you just wish we were!!!

Kovach is a globalist government hack.

I'm certainly heartened by the uniterupted stream of comments rasinig the "horse manure" flag on this author.
You folks in the main stream media need to wake up to the fact that we all have woken up.
    Dr. Paul for President

    • Posted By: JP123 @ 12/06/2007 10:13:09 PM

Yes, we have woken up and their running scared! Ron Paul 2008!

  • Posted By: maisy @ 12/06/2007 10:09:54 PM

Okay folks...this is ging to make etaining our sovreigntry that much harder. JOURNALISM as it was is dead. It is no longer about presenting the facts. It is about slanting and forming an agenda that fits the liking of the elites. It is no wonder that the print media today is dive bombing into oblivion!

I once thought that Newsweek was a magazine of high standing based on truth and honest reporting. This blatant hit piece on a man who has nothing but America's best interests at heart is saddening. The author is either totally uninformed on this issue or actively seeking to discredit Paul with misinformation. Either way it is a disgrace. I will no longer be a reader of this magazine. Shame on you.

The article was an attack piece. Shame on Newsweek. This is a disgrace!!

  • Posted By: wasaka @ 12/06/2007 9:45:09 PM

This article is an attack piece. It is an attempt to marginalize Ron Paul and to play down activities that threaten U.S. sovereignty. SHAME ON NEWSWEEK!!! Unless we unite and kick these globalist politicians and their corporate backers to the curb, American freedom, liberty and sovereignty will soon be part of history.

  • Posted By: Okie @ 12/06/2007 9:32:14 PM

Why don't you hire a staff of investigators and find out what's up before castigating Mr. Paul, a dedicated servant of the people who is deeply concerned about this Nations future and not afraid to discuss the issues openly.

I cannot buy any 'ignorance' or 'sloth' argument. This was yet another example of disinformation from NW. Just like WAPO... owned and operated by the same folks who brought you Operation Mockingbird.

I must be a conspiracy theorist too, then! I don't believe Oswald did it all by himself. I don't believe Monica just accidentally forgot to dispose of that navy blue dress. What? Do you think she only wanted to remember the good 'ole days down on the carpet in the Oval Office? Yes, It's called the Trans-Texas Corridor here in Texas, but the path leads from Texas to the first inland port of Kansas City! I wonder how long it will be before everyone understands the threat to our SOVEREIGN nation the NAU and the NAFTA Superhighway will be to us? Ms. Kocach, how ever did you manage to become a journalist with Newsweek? Perhaps the hem of your dress also has fibers from the Newsweek Editor's office?
