The Trans Texas Corridor is NOT a figment of anyone's imagination. Check out the website of the Texas Department of Transportation. Here is the link.

Nice hit piece. The Canadian government doesn't have any problem discussing this issue. Here's a link to an official Canadian government website dealing with infrastructure and transportation issues. On it you can see this planned NAFTA Superhighway illustrated. I wouldn't call that shadowy or hidden at all but rather that's pretty much plain sight.

Newsweek should be ashamed of this story, and issue a retraction. This is journalism at its worst.
For those of you reading this who don't realize how badly you are being lied to and manipulated... Please don't believe any of this article. You are obviously on the Internet, so do some independent research and find out the truth for yourself from more reliable sources.

Few voters knew that Giuliani sold out the interests of Texas land owners whose property will be transfered to special interests to build a toll road (eminent domain). Now you told the public. America's Mayor is not happy, Gretal C Kovach.

    Hey Newsweek,
First you say it's all a conspiracy, and then you say it's all true? What is that? You get a 'F' for this one. How 'bout going back to Propaganda 101 or reading some of George Creel's work. And American Soveirgnty is at stake here. The SPP's own website states that the NAU's government will sit on top of ours and that they will only keep Congress abreast of issues, BUT CONGRESS HAS NO SAY ON WHAT HAPPENS ON OUR SOIL!

If Newsweek hasn't heard of these plans yet then either Newsweek is lying to the public or Newsweek is just totally uninformed and shouldn't be providing "news" to anyone. This story is nothing new. Get transcripts from the public meetings in Texas! Take a look at what you claim to have totally missed.

    Gretel,

You might want to inform the Alberta government because they are under the impression there is such a thing as the NAFTA Superhighway

    http://www.infratrans.gov.ab.ca/2760.htm

Also, you might want to inform Richard Feinberg that there is no such thing as the North American Union because he is under the delusion that he worked on the integration process through the Summits of the Americas meetings throughout the 90's as he documented in his book titled, "Summitry in the Americas".

What amazes me is how an alleged News magazine can print an article that is so full of lies as this one that Gretel Kovach has written.

Gretel you should be ashamed of yourself. Money is not worth disgracing your good name and if you think it is... then you should see a psychiatrist.

This pathetic article just reinforces my belief that all main stream media is in a CONSPIRACY to blind the American people to the true globalist agenda. I no longer read or listen to the main stream media but seek out alternative sources. Newsweek, be afraid, be really afraid...beacuse the American people are starting to wake and when they do they won't be buying your magazine anymore. Each lie that you print is like sticking a needle into a sleeping giant. When the giant wakes up he's not going to be very happy.

Since you so highly value government sources, why don't you take a look at this map of the NAFTA "Trade Corridors" posted on a GOVERNMENT website in Alberta, Canada. There is a lot of parsing of words going on. It is no longer being termed a highway. It is now a "corridor."

Kolbe tapped for Canamex highway task force...
The Business Journal of Phoenix - by Mike Sunnucks The Business Journal
Former Arizona Congressman Jim Kolbe has been tapped by Gov. Janet Napoltano to head a task force working to get a NAFTA superhighway built from Mexico through the Southwest and Mountain West to Canada.

Napolitano said Tuesday she was appointing Kolbe to chair the state's Canamex Task Force.Canamex is proposed highway that would run from Guadalajara, Mexico, to Alberta, Canada, via existing, upgraded and new highways that run through Nogales, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City to the northern border.

Kolbe, a moderate, pro-business Republican, retired from Congress after 22 years. He is a strong backer of free trade policies and the NAFTA accord.

Free trade advocates say highway projects like Canamex will foster commerce. Critics say such roads could enable more imports and displace American jobs.

Can it be?? nothing more than about MONEY, literally, the devalued, withering on the vine dollar and the wealth production of all us currently and our children tomorrow and the dollar that we blindly CONSUME with ??? to and of what value are all these the "Private/Public Partnerships", the "International Trade Agreements"?? perhaps to mortgage, hypothecate, leverage, to the hilt and perpetuate the mirage of the dollar and its creators/owners INTEREST(S) which history has shown is the death of all currency and the people's production/labor/wealth that has clutched it with there hands???? hmmmmm

    Ms. Kovach,
I want to know how you keep your job. Have you ever actually researched this yourself? Or did you just stick to the lines fed to you by the rest of the MSM? All I have to do to find that this is all true is LOOK. A quick Google search will bring up 1000's of pages of articles both by people who see no problem with it at all and those who oppose it. As for your statement "Ron Paul wants you to be scared", no, he doesn't. He wants you to be informed. He wants you to be empowered by your knowledge. He wants you to take your country back. The last thing he wants is for you to be fearful. "Fear is the mind killer" (Frank Herbert) It is fear that has brought us to where we are today. So fearful are we of terrorists and of losing our homes and of young men committing mass murders on in our schools and our malls that we are content to hunker down in our homes and allow our government to "protect" us whatever way they see fit. One day we will wake up. I hope it is not too late. Ron Paul 2008.

"Ron Paul wants you to be scared."
If by 'scared' you mean 'informed' then, yes.
A more accurate statement might be:
Newsweek wants you to be ignorant
