Newsweek, with this article, you have earned the ire and derision of the American people. I'm sure none of the contempt expressed in these comments will be mentioned in following issues. As well, I'm sure that an apology and/or retraction will never happen either. Understand this though, we the people will never quit demanding the truth and we the people will not stand by while you spread this filth you call news. We the people are fed up with the lies and the treachery. Ron Paul has supporters from all walks of life, because the message of liberty lights a fire in the hearts of all real Americans.

Gretel Kovach obviously does not read her own cites. The Bush SPP of 2005 spells out in detail that The North American Union is to be implemented by 2010 and that the NAFTA Superhighway is an integral part of it. As for who is behind this, the Members of The Council on Foreign Relations presented a 90 page paper to The Senate Foreign Relations Committee, entitled Toward A North American Union, and said they were. authorship

It makes me proud to see that America still values an honest politician like Dr Paul. Main stream media better take the blinders off and realize that resistance to truth is futile if they expect to sell their *news* to anyone who takes the time to research the candidates. Believe me ...I've done extensive research into the backgrounds of ALL the candidates and RON PAUL IS 100% DEDICATED TO GIVING AMERICA BACK TO THE CITIZENS AND RESTORING THE CONSTITUTION !!!! The other politicians are in corporate pockets!!!
Their interested only in power and controlling the population. Advancing the agenda of the ruling elite is foremost in their plans. The rEVOLution has begun and RON PAUL is the leader We The People need !!!

"We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years.
"It would have been impossible to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during these years.
"But now the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government.
"The supra national sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
David Rockerfeller, in a speech to the Council on Foreign relations, June 1991
I guess Newsweek is another of the GREAT PUBLICATIONS---

The press was held with high regard when the Constitution was written, given special considerations so they may be allowed to keep the public informed with the truth about the government,
It's a shame when 'journalism' has stooped this low, when reporters have become either so lazy or so brainwashed as to disregard reality to appease the establishment..

Kindly I would say that you need to get your self educated in reality. The NAU is not a conspiracy, it is right out in the open. Read the documents and do some research. Fearing a panic, media has been instructed to nix the truth on this. What's new? This is far worse than poor reporting, this is a cover up of huge proportions. Later you will act like you knew it all along and it's no big deal. Also, Corsi's book did not help Kerry!

Gretel needs to do a bit more research and modify her report. Has anyone seen Zeitgeist (www.zeitgeistmovie.com)? In Part III, the movie investigates the monetary system, but towards the middle talks about the North American Union and how the plan is not just a conspiracy theory. I highly recommend the movie, and am very disappointed that Newsweek would get this story horribly wrong. There are so many things we as Americans can be better informed about. Get it together and give us the real story.

Newsweek should be ashamed over its poor reporting. Canadian government web sites openly pronounce the North American Union adn the Super Highway. Yet Newsweek acts like it doesnt exists. Poor reproting.

I don't read Newsweek. I mean I have some principles after all. However I heard about this garbage article on the radio. The commentators said to read the comments. Wow! I am thrilled to see that so many people are so well informed and aware of the attempts to destroy this great nation. I also noticed that there appears to be not one single positive response. Gretel, you are a disgrace.

So Ron Paul put the North American Union in the media spot light.
Many Americans are well aware of Bushs plans for the North American Union modeled on the European Union.
The infrastrure is in place, and going forward.
The only thing Bush needs to emplement the whole plan is a major country wide chrisis, to make Americans demand that something be done.
Example: the dollar or Goverment goes brok.
    Wake up people.
News week editors and staff, you are way behind on this issue.
Lets see if any of the other canidates have the courage to even discuss Bushs plan that he denys even exists.

I don't read Newsweek. I mean, for crying out loud, I have some principles. However I heard about this hatchet job while listening to the radio. The radio commentators said to also read the comments. Wow! I am so thrilled to see that there are so many of us who are becoming knowledgeable of what is being done to this great nation. the other thing I noticed was nobody bought Gretel's bs.

The plans for these highways have been on the books since WWII. Look at Larouche for information of trans-continental railways, highways and pipelines. The maps he shows have them linked acrooss the ENTIRE PLANET.

The Newsweek editors and staff must be living in vacume not to be aware of all Government information published by us,Canada and Mexico.
Ron Paul just got your attention about this.
Many Americans know of the plan for the North American Union on par with the European union Model.

Where have you guys been for the last seven years?

    Wake up..

Well, looks like I'm not going to buy a subscription to Newsweek. Seems like they don't do their homework or do any substantive research into events that are affecting this country.

Let's see if TIME magazine can do better.

  • Posted By: Skipper1946 @ 12/08/2007 2:10:45 PM

"SNOOZEWEAK" would be a far better title for this shallow rag.

  • Posted By: Leonardo @ 12/08/2007 1:56:19 PM

    Wow!
Of cause the National Magazine "is in on it"
There goes the legitimacy of your once reliable source down the toilet. Either that or you have ???a sh*t for brain??? working at your entity.
