As a Brit with many American friends, I couldn't agree more. This article really hits the nail on the head and the writer's analysis, based not on party lines as the most important descriptor of voting habits strikes me as one which will only carry more and more importance as new generations of Americans choose who to vote for not on 'red vs. blue' lines, but on individual condidates beliefs, policies and convictions. I only wish British democracy was in such a healthy position.
