Ron Paul makes HIMSELF look good. Specifically, his MESSAGE makes him look good. His message and VOTING RECORD. Looks good, sounds good, feels good, I'm going to vote for him. Just donated $2300 today and it's the best $2300 I've spent for a long time.
Replikov, Ron Paul makes HIMSELF looks good. No, scratch that - Ron Paul's MESSAGE makes him look good. His message and voting record. Looks good, sounds good, feels good, googles good, diggs good...my bet is he IS good for the USA.
I haven't found one "journalist", interviewer or politician that can interview Dr. Paul and not make Dr. Paul look good.
Drink LiberTEA at the Teaparty, Dec 16, 2007. Drink it for the first time.
All other candidates DENY LIBERTY.
Ron Paul is the greatest candidate I've ever seen. Consistent for 30 years. No flip flops. We are done with WAR, we want a real currency, we want peace, we want the welfare-state for the military industrial complex to END, we want to fix America and stop policing the world and to stop the authoritarian oppression here NOW.
Here is what the US Government without Ron Paul in charge has done to us:
- 9 trillion in debt
- 850 billion trade deficit
- War in Iraq
- War in Afghanistan
- Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda alive
- Fomenting War with Iran
- 12.25 trillion M3 money supply, and expanding (massive inflation)
Ron Paul???s record is crystal clean perfect and consistent. He takes no money from anyone but people and constituents. He is as pure as they come.
One of my favorite quotes about Dr. Paul, ???You???re working for the most honest man in Congress.??? That was John McCain speaking to Kent Snyder in 1988.
Except for the fact that Howard Fineman devotes one quarter of his Ron Paul Interview to having Ron Paul discuss two other candidates, I thought the interview was appropriate and got to the heart of some of Ron Paul's philosophy. If you compare interviews I think you see that although Ron Paul gets some of the toughest questions he answers them in a more straightforward way than most candidates. This is what I admire and respect about him. I don't expect my presidential candidate to save the world, but I expect him to tackle the hard issues about where America is and get us thinking about where we should be.
The picture of 300 flooded school buses in a New Orleans parking lot after Katrina is all the evidence I need to prove that a government program will not save your butt. The emergency plan for New Orleans said that school buses would be used for evacuation. When it didn't happen, everyone blamed Bush, but did anyone ask why didn't the 300 bus drivers show up? No, they did not. I guess they were expecting Bush clones to drive the buses, similar to the star troopers cloned by the Empire in the Star Wars movies (Some people must have trouble distinguishing fiction from fact.)
In contrast to that photo, there was a story of a young man who stole one of those buses to save his family and neighbors. His example proves Ron Paul's message of freedom and self-responsibility. If you want a compassionate society, you have to be compassionate yourself and act when someone is in need. You cannot sit on your duff, and expect a clone of the president, essentially any bureaucrat, to act in your place.
We recently had a popular movie about 300 Spartans who acted to save their community. We need a movie about 300 Bus Drivers who failed their community in New Orleans. It would reveal what seriously ails U.S.
Thank God there is a chance for a good doctor to be in the White House, Dr. Ron Paul, to cure what ails U.S.
The Paul Revolution can take heart from this poem related to the Grecian war with Persia.
"Forward, sons of the Greeks,
Liberate the fatherland, liberate
Your children, your women, the altars of the gods of your fathers
And the graves of your forebears:
Now is the fight for everything."
Any chance to get a movie made about 300 Bus Drivers? Maybe in a couple thousand years. But you can vote in 2008 for Ron Paul.
1) Why is this interview split into 4 parts with mandatory ads at the beginning of each part? Wouldn't one add suffice? Not to mention the pop-ups.
2) Why is Howard Fineman such an assh0le?
Howard Fineman is an ***.
Ha! djonesss. I dare you to look at history objectively.
1850-1900 was a time of relative prosperity. Everyone was rising up out of the poverty of an agricultural-based economy into an industrial economy. People were much better off than they were before. It only looks bad now because we're now so much more advanced than 100 years ago. And all of the most recent advances have been made in the environment of an economy that is based on free markets.
Whatever abuses you think happened during that period were enabled by the government. Most poverty in the world is made possible by government-based corruption. All of the wealth in the world is made possible by free market economics. Look at China.
And no one is going to starve. Private charities are alive and well. There's this fallacy that if government doesn't decree something it doesn't happen. Never mind the mounting evidence that whenever government does decree something, it rarely ever achieves its desired result. How's welfare programs doing in terms of helping people escape poverty? How's Social Security saving up enough money for people's retirement.

Ah, such grace under fire. What Ron Paul's attackers do not seem to understand, is that the more tough they are on him, the easier it is for him to look good. The more that they try to bait him, the more they give him to work with. He has spent 20 years in the US Congress smiling back at the world's most skilled political antagonists. All the while maintaining his integrity and always speaking the truth in love, in response to all kinds of virulent lies and disinformation thrown at him.
I can hardly wait for the day to be able to see him swear to uphold the Constitution as President, knowing that unlike so many others, he really means what he says in all sincerity and truth.
I don't know what's so hard to understand about Ron Paul wanting the "Federal Government" out of our lives; State Governemt can establish a minimum wage, protect worker rights, and manage public school requirements...and any other necessary government functions. Ron Paul doesn't want to control the people, nor does he want our money. He lives by what he preaches, and has for 30 years. He has studied all that he preaches for 30 years. He's no fool, so much that other candidates are beginning to preach the same things (liberty, smaller governement, abolishing the irs - nearly all of the points only Ron Paul was preaching a year ago).
djonesss: So you prefer our system of corporate welfare, government subsidies and stealing from one person to give to another? The government owns us and has a right to take and give as it sees fit? And as far acquiring wealth, are you acquiring wealth right now, or going bankrupt? The income tax system is the REASON no one can afford healthcare or proper education! The falling dollar is the reason that the cost of living is going sky high! So, please give me a break... The rest of see what is happening and we know why. I suspect that you know why too.
Ron Paul doesn't care about you, or your right to strike, your workers rights, your financial situation when you're sick and got no job.
Basically, he's a Darwinist, and wants you to starve to death if you're out of a job.
Ron Paul also wants the abolish minimum wage, which will enable factory workers to be heavily exploited. Free market capitalism leads to poor people without rights. Just look at what free market capitalism did in the Netherlands in 1850 - 1900! Everyone was underpaid, poor, and began working at the age of 11 (just forget about school, only rich kids could afford it).
Minarchism (what Ron Paul wants) only works if only a few people can use services like the railroad, roads, etc., because then it's low maintanance.
In conclusion: be careful! Ron Paul hates to see the avarage American aquirering wealth!

Old media is slow, biased, and have sold out their journalistic integrity.
No wonder I now get all most of my news from Digg.
Howard Fineman, isn't that the name of one of the Three Stooges?
I wonder if Reagan would have tried to run today if he would be treated with such blatant disrespect.
Fineman seems to think he is going to get to the bottom of all the troubles with Ron Paul. Seems like Ron owned him. Is this guy always so combative with his interviews or was this special for Ron Paul? I was disturbed most by his voice over intros. He makes all the wrong conclusions like saying Ron Paul was so critical of Romney and Huckabee when it seemed to me it was Fineman's questions that were disrespecting those guys. Could it be that Fineman is trying to make all the Republicans fight? HE certainly isn't going to get Ron to start bad mouthing people. Overall Fineman was demeaning and pompous and his questions were rude and loaded.
Howard needs a hair cut. Newsweek is horrible... they put Obama on their cover... why don't they just come around a say it??? MSM supports communism and enabling lazy people... I wonder how many degrees it's gonna take for the MSM to figure out they are selling out America and it's core values.
Fineman's arrogant and condescending attitude made me want to throw up! I think I've finally lost what little remaining respect I had for the news media. Judging by the drop in readership (and viewership), I'm not alone.
