"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win" Mahatma Gandhi. Nice to see that we're passed "ignore."

Contrary to some of the commenters. I think Howard Fineman lived up to his name, the questions were serious, and intended to elicit specific answers, and Ron did GREAT. Even when Dr. Paul took a position (on Israel) that Fineman clearly had strong personal feelings about, Dr. Paul gave principled, specific answers perfectly in line with a policy of nonintervention. This kind of interview almost NEVER takes place in the current newstainment media. That it did so here, and showed Ron so brilliantly, is almost completely unprecedented, and, I submit, a VERY good thing for this country.

This comment will give the corporate propagandists (as they don't behave like objective journalists) at Newsweek something to think about.

Ron Paul will be as great a President as Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln served only 1 term as a congressman before winning the Presidency. Paul has served 10 terms as a congressman. I think he will be 10 times as great as Lincoln.

He will have to be. Lincoln had one major issue, slavery. Paul has at least 10 major issues: national bankruptcy, overextended military, energy shortage, broken tax code, broken borders, crumbling infrastructure, sovereignty threat from North American Union schemers and the corrupt UN, restoration of civil liberties, an obese bureaucracy that has burst the limits of the Constitution, failed foreign policy which has lost international good will,

and most important, an unregulated internet with net neutrality.

I know he will have a lot of good help from We the People to pressure Congress and the Senate to solve these problems. Gridlock between dishonest political parties competing to plunder the nation will no longer be tolerated.

The nation survived thanks to Honest Abe, now We the People have a new leader, Honest Ron.

I tought the Journalist doing the interview was poor at best and interviewed in a manner as if his job was threatened, if he didn't take a hostile one side against Dr. Paul. Who owns Newsweek? That's the problem!

Why is the national news media so afraid of the United States Constitution?

Good interview and thanks for posting. Gee, I wonder if Obama or Hillary will be asked questions challenging them for supporting government as the solution to everything, in spite of it's failures on every level, as Paul was taken to task for his unconditional support of the second amendment, opposition to the income tax and non-interventionist foreign policy?

Vote for ron paul he we set us free!! Iam a combat veteran I served to tours of duty in Iraq and lost Two of my closest friends. When they say that it has nothing to do with oil they are full of it some of my missions in Iraq were escorting trucks loaded with pipes to oil areas. I saw more work being done to oil fields than I saw us helping the Iraqis. We could get none of the oil though do to the Irais blowing up the pipes almost every day.

You are a fraud...No soldier, sailor or Marine would post what you posted on here.

Nite: I'm sorry that all this talk of change frightens you. I hope that you will reflect on the points everyone is making here; become aware of how mainstream media works so hard to spin Dr. Paul and his campaign in the way they want you to see it, rather than let you hear what he's really saying. It should be alarming that the young men and women who are laying down their lives for us are disillusioned. It is.

I am a 9 year Army veteran and I can tell you that Iraq has to do with only 2 things, controlling the hundreds of billions of barrels of oil under it's sands, and increasing the American Global Empire and Feeding the Greed of the Corporatocracy. Read "Confessions of an Ecomomic Hitman" by John Perkins. Educate yourself before you comment out of ignorance and a misguided sense of patriotism. A true Patriot is not afraid to question and defy a wrongful, corrupt government. How do you think we freed ourselves from England?

Right on Jim, blood for oil makes my blood boil. Ron Paul! we should not police the world, and Empires always fail. AMERICA - oh the possabilities

    • Posted By: Nite @ 12/09/2007 6:31:14 PM

Where were you stationed at in Iraq Jim? Soldier, or Marine? You should be ashamed of yourself to post on here that we are fighting for oil! You think mentioning you so called combat service gives you credibility? I'm will to bet you've never seen a day of Boot Camp and if you did you washed out

FUNNY HOW THIS RON PAUL GUY ALWAYS HAS THE RIGHT ANSWERS EVEN WHEN HE IS BEING ATTACKED AND MADE OUT TO BE A QUACK, NO MATTER HOW LOGICAL HIS ANSWERS ARE.
