I find it interesting and humorous the dilema the main stream media find themselves in. For months now they have tried to ignore Ron Paul, but the ranks continue to swell and the masses continue to join in on his message of freedom and getting big brother out of our business. As a result the main stream snobs must report on him or loose all credibility. But they lose anyway because anyone who is paying attention can see right through their condecending smuggness. Kick butt Ron!!!! Power to the PEOPLE!!!

I'm changing my party affiliation for Dr. Paul. I have been a voting Democrat for 25 years but realize this is the ONLY candidate worth voting for! Give us our freedom back.

Fineman's disdane for Congressman Paul is obvious. He says Paul is running a, "libertarian oriented live free or die campaign." Congressman Paul is running as a Republican for crying out loud and has been one for years. His questions were 'traps' set in order to paint Congressman Paul as a nut case libertarian. Ron Paul did a fine job of getting out of the trap once again, but it is obvious that the media and the GOP will never allow Paul to win the nomination. There aren't enough self informed Americans out there. Fineman is an egatistical, condescending elitist. Anti-freedom bigotry exudes from his mouth and body language. And for all who will listen, do not trust Huckabee. As a 20+ year Christian and Southern Baptist at that, I will tell you that I would never vote for a man who forsook the highest calling on earth (pastoring) to pursue the evil business of politics. God Help! Huckabee is a wolf in sheeps clothing in my opinion (read the book of Jude).

Ron Paul is the most principled, honest candidate in either party. I will vote for him because he will protect my privacy, restore my civil liberties, reduce the size of government, and uphold the Constitution. Isn't that what all elected Presidents are supposed to do--"I solemnly swear to uphold and defend the Consituion".

Dr. Paul takes freedom seriously. He is the only candidate dedicated to freeing the slaves (income taxpaying Americans) from the government plantation.

I will vote for him because I want my privacy protected, my civil liberties restored and the government to follow the Constitution. Am I wrong, or isn't that what those elected are supposed to do--"I do solemnly swear to uphold and defend the Constitution"

Previously, I have been apathetic about the presidency because I was sick and tired of corporate bought candidates for this office. This is the first time in years that I have felt like becoming involved in this process and it's all because I believe in this man named Ron Paul. I have taken the time to educate myself about his views of the issues and believe he is speaking truth. The pundits in media and white house has fed the middle class too much propaganda and the middle class is tired of taking the brunt. What will happen when the dollar hits zero??? The white house and their corporate whores want to develop policies that forward their agendas which include continue to police the world with OUR tax dollars while they have the ability to move their money around the world within moments notice while we are stuck with worthless US currency which continues to drop in value every single day. The American public needs to awaken and vote in a president that has our best interest at heart. I believe that man will be RON PAUL and he has my vote!

Anyone who does not vote for Ron Paul is a misinformed Fool...........

Ron Paul is honest and forthright is every question that has been thrown his way by the media. I've been apathetic about politics for years because I was tired of having big corporations pick the two candidates they wanted me to vote on and find out they are both one in the same. i believe this is the year that allows American people true liberty to vote for the candidate they truly believe in. Ron Paul has engaged me in this process after years of apathy and he has my vote!

Thank you for conducting this interview. This is one of the better interviews I have seen. If you want ratings and traffic, I suggest you keep the Ron Paul stories coming. Might I suggest an interview about the books he has written on currency and economics and how these issues relate to the future of our country. This guy is brilliant. Please help us learn from him and protect the future of our children and grandchildren who will currently inherit an out-of-control debt problem.

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate from either party with any integrity. Whether or not you agree with him as I do, surely you can see that he is a principled and honest man. What a pleasant change from the rest of the field.

I like Ron Paul. He gets my vote.

Throughout his political career, Ron Paul has stood for the rule of law and the Constitution. Politics, religion and other issues are just distractions Most politicians have broken the law, violated their oath of office to defend the Constitution, and know this because Dr. Paul won't let them forget it because what he states regularly about getting BACK to it. Traitors by any other word. How about a real American for President?

Ron Paul's focus througout his career and his run for president is"the rule of law and supporting the constitution." Politics, religious beliefs, or whatever are distractions. Most of our politicians have broken the law, period. They have violated their oath of office. They are traitors to our country... and they know it because Ron Pul won't let up making that point obvious. How about a real American for President?

The more and more I see of Ron Paul...the more I think I just might be voting for this man. President Paul.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6813945/ -- "It's hard to know now who, if anyone, in the "media" has any credibility." -- Howard Fineman
Candidate interviews should be like job interviews and just once I'd like to see a journalist obtain details of how a candidate would accomplish the goals they put forward in their campaigns rather than trying to see how many logs they can throw in front of the candidate to see if they can make him/her trip. Granted the latter is easier since no individual can please everyone, but the former is the mark of a talented journalist.

Thanks Howard Fineman for a job well done. Although your questions may have been somewhat loaded, allowing only for answers that you may seek, the fact that you allowed Dr. Paul sufficient time to answer, offset any "loaded " questions you may have had. Your genuine courteous and respectful behaviour toward America's premier statesman was much appreciated by a long-time (30+ years) Ron Paul supporter. I believe the interviewer and interviewee both benefitted from the exchange. Go Ron Paul!

Is Howard Fineman biased? Consider this quote from him in 2003 regarding the invasion of Iraq: "We had controversial wars that divided this country. This war united the country and brought the military back."

why was dr. paul always referred to in the interview as "libertarian, republican..." ? when katherine harris changed her affiliation from dem. to repub. she was never referred to as " democrat / republican katherine harris..." i wonder if mr. fineman and newsweek were trying to somehow subliminally distance ron paul from the rest of the republicans....hmm.
