Ron Paul maintains a high level of professionalism throughout the interview. He has once again demonstrated his firm stance in politics, while maintaining the separation of church and state. A person's integrity should shine above and beyond their personal spiritual belief via their character. For we shall know who is of true honesty and goodness by their works. He has clearly and consistently demonstrated in my opinion throughout his campaign, his sole focus on the laws of the land, in restructuring and returning the laws of liberty and as Americans, our true constitutional rights. He doesn't stray for one second away from the task at hand, which is returning this country back on track. He understands that in heart that in order for America to be restrengthened and Americans to have the will to defend and protect their homeland, that the homeland be the sole focus of governing in order to return the prosperity, trust and respect that our fellow country men rightfully deserve. His focas will continue to remain in over taxing, rights of our troops, respects paid to them for their services, our rights to free speech, the right to assemble and the right to become one nation and one family, so help him God. This man whether Republican or Liberterian speaks from the heart and allows each one of us as individuals to uphold our own religious beliefs without asserting his beliefs upon us as we have become a nation so diverse, he knows that we must now cordon off our borders and rehabilitate a broken nation. I not only look at Ron Paul as a man who is running for president, he is the type of man who would be a true uniter of Global communities.

What the...!? Newsweek trying to get Ron Paul to endorse MR!? They put a MR picture over Dr. Paul's response which made the sound bite look like Ron Paul was making an endorsement of MR. Why is the media so sneaky. What happened to unbiased reporting. This isn't an unbiased interview! This is pushing Newsweek's own agenda! Shame on you Newsweek. Shame on the guy who told the editor to do this and shame on the editor for being complicit!

I have ever seen such blatant rudeness and disrespect on the part of an interviewer. Whatever happened to objectivity and journalistic integrity? You tried to make this Congressman look bad and it only makes your organization look bad. Shame.

I thought the interview was fair, but you could tell by the look on Mr Finemans face that he looked discuraged as to how clear and precise Mr Paul's answers are and how molded Mr fineman is in his views. as to say why would you belive in freedom when we have sucjh a believable corrupt system already in place. Its unnerving to give an interview when the light of truth hits you right between the eyes.

Ron Paul is by far the most thoughtful and principled candidate in this race.

America is fortunate to have Ron Paul. In this presidential contest, he is the sole caretaker of liberty and freedom, of reason and integrity. With any luck, people in America will realize this fact before it is too late. An army of individuals has had their inner-patriot awakened and the spirit of liberty is alive and well, thanks to Ron Paul.

Paul's defense of Romney's religous beliefs is a beautiful thing (I am a conservative Christian, pro-life, two time Bush voter for the record). It is a shame that Fineman characterizes Paul's discussion of Huckabee and Romney as Paul having been "really critical". That's a complete misrepresentation of Paul's eloquent discussion of some highly sensitive material. The more I hear Paul the more I am convinced he is BY FAR the best presidential candidate in the entire field, be it republican or democratic.

I thought it was a good interview . You can not understand the issues Ron Paul raises about the IRS without doing more research . See and understand more by looking and spending some time at a site like Showthelaw.com . Interviews such as this one can't do this great man justice. I am pro choice . Its funny that things that divide us all, never were suppose to be in the hands of the Federal Government . Please remember our Constitution .Ron Paul is pro life period . He understands that it should be up to the states to decide . Not for the Government to deal with . State Government and Federal Goverment were never suppose to be one . A pro choice friend of mine won't vote for Ron because of his stand on pro life .Yet another person posted a comment here saying she wont vote for RP because he wants to let the states decide. What about the Constitution ?????? Just like the death sentence . Each state has to decide .Oh if we decide life . Then your state taxes will have to go up to pay for all the extra kids. Not the Federal taxes..Federal taxes are just like being a slave. I did serve my country. So don't give that crp about being unpatriotic . The British only had a tax of 3 % on us and look what happened. WAKE UP SHEEPLE

4Freedom, that is exactly what Howard Fineman wanted out of Dr. Paul a simple yes or no so that he could misrepresent Dr. Paul's position.

If he said yes, it would imply that he as president would support the continued existence of an Israeli state, with violence if need be.

If he said no, it would imply that he'd except the destruction of Israel by Palestine.

Nothing in the middle east is black and white, and I'll repeat: Fineman's attempt to get yes/no answers out of Dr. Paul on complex topics, where he's personal beliefs might not coincide with what he believes the US's (ie. representing millions of other people) positions should be, is unprofessional.

Paul's position is clear: He believes Israel has a right to continued existence, and so do the Palestinians. If they want to wage war over that, that's there business. Our lives and our money should not be wasted over land that does not belong to US citizens.

Though, I think if you asked Dr. Paul, he'd gladly send over as many diplomats as it takes if he thought that they could help resolve the problem peacefully.

I would really like to hear the rountable/rectangular table discussion you all had with Ron Paul. Not that you did a bad job Mr. Fineman. I thought your questions
    were quit fair.

Your taxes helped killed several hundred thousand Iraqis over a war of weapons of mass destruction that were never there. This war continues despite the opposition of 70% of Americans. The war was also never declared by congress as required by the constitution, and Halliburton has made billions of dollars from your taxes.

This is the sort of civil disobedience Paul is talking about.

That interviewer is incredibly arrogant. I can't imagine how a journalist can be allowed to make snide remarks, in such a tone, while interviewing a presidential candidate. I found that very unprofessional. And trying to force him to give yes or no answers without explaining his position? Unheard of. It's clear Howard started the interview with preconceived ideas of Paul's beliefs and positions, and just wanted Dr. Paul to nod yes or no.

It's a pity that there are so few journalists left that want their audience to understand the topics they report on, rather then feed there audience there own biased opinions.

I'm afraid this ain't one of them.

I appreciated the interview very much. Unlike most other interviewers, a range of questions was asked and touched upon a variety of issues. It is evident, however, some of the questions you asked Dr. Paul are an attempts to steer him off the edge of a cliff - for example, you attempt to get him to say something that could be perceived as Anti-Israel which is a big no-no in today's society. Other questions were asked with an "Are you nuts?" tone underlying the question. Alas, Dr. Paul had a perfect answer for each one of your pointed questions and I support his views fully.
