Mike Huckabee as president is an extremely scary scenario. If you've ever attended a southern baptist church, one might see why a southern baptist preacher has NO business being president of the U.S. I attend a freewill baptist church and know the beliefs of these people. The separation of church and state would be heavily compromised with a candidate like Huckabee. He leans toward the extreme. Choose wisely.

This poll is recent, Ron Paul Beats McCain AND IS ONE POINT BEHIND GIULIANI, YET YOU FAIL TO MENTION HIM? Unlike the other candidates, the turnout for RP supporters will be near 100%. We will be there at the polling stations, what is going to happen when he wins the election, are you going to pretend that he didn't? Screw Newsweek, it is just another lackey to censorship.

Ron Paul is at 8% in this poll. Newsweek has censored its own poll to achieve the results it desires. I hope your legal team is preparing for the RICO lawsuit they'll be defending against soon. We will not stand by while you try to turn Ron Paul into this elections Larry Agren. Don't know who Agren is, google video "spin".

Ron Paul beat John McCain in this poll. Check it for yourself. Go to the actual poll. You have to ask yourself why he was censored from this news article? I do not support everything that Ron Paul wants to do, but I do support Ron Paul. Please just look at the man and his reasons for why he wants to change things. I think you will be happily surprised. Google: Ron Paul...

Why isn't Ron Paul mentioned in this article? He polled higher than John McCain in this poll. Go to the actual poll and take a look. Then ask yourself why Ron Paul was censored from this article. I know everyone thinks Ron Paul is weird. Please just look past the media bias and look at the man and his positions. I do not agree with everything Ron Paul wants to do, but I do believe in Ron Paul. Just google: Ron Paul...

Since you Ron Paul supporters can't seem to figure it out, let me help you. McCain is mentioned because he was a significant player in the race at one point. He no longer is. A point worth noting. Ron Paul started out insignificant and remains that way. No point in reporting the obvious.

I am for Mr. Huckabee all the way. He is a breath of fresh air. Finally there is an honest, likable, humble, experienced candidate. I believe he can win, indeed I believe he will win. Don't look at evangelical Christians as a bunch of morons from the sticks unable to turn the election their way. There are millions upon millons of evangelicals in this country - and they vote, particularly if the alternative is someone like Hillary Clinton. They are a tremendous force to be reckoned with and they have taken a great liking to Mr. Huckabee. The evangelicals got Mr. Bush over the hump, and I believe they can get Mr. Huckaby over the hump as well.

Agreed. The main reason I like Huckabee is his down to earth, common sense outlook on things. He is a very humble man. I like the fact that he will avoid idiotic, nonsense questions that should be handled on different levels of government, instead of feeding up BS like every other candidate has done since the beginning of time. He is definitely a breath of fresh air. Anyone voting for anyone else other than Huckabee, just put your swords down for a second, listen to the man's tone and thoughts on things, then maybe make your judgement. I think he is exactly what we need right now to possibly take the steam off of whats going on in the world.

As a life-long Arkansas, I have seen several governors come and go, but none has been as passive as Mike Huckabee. He did very little for the people of Arkansas. Illegal immigrants have been coming into this area for many years, especially during the years where MH was governor and he did nothing about it! He also wrote a book about the Jonesboro School shooting is is believed to have pocketed the proceeds. There is a very unnusual relationship between MH and a Little Rock businessman named Osborn. Very suspicious. Anyone who is considering Mike Huckabee as a presidential candidate should do their research. Try googling Mike Huckabee and Ethics.

Huckabee is not a christian. He is a religious fanatic. A big differenc e. Didn't we learn anything the last 8 years. If these crazy religious fanatics keep govern this country, the rest of the world will view us as total idiots, we are almost there now ..

  • Posted By: dora_rice @ 12/07/2007 11:33:22 PM

It is sad that Huckabee even has a chance. It shows that americans have not learned one ioda over the last 8 years. It also shows that there is a fanatic , crazy religious cult out there, that will put any guy in power, regardless how crazy he is. Just looking at this man's wild eyes tells anyone that he is cookoo. My god Americ a, please don't make another mistake. Quit burning our values of separation of state and church on
on the stake. Go to church, pray all you want to, believe in what you want to believe, but keep it clean in Washington and govern with common sense, instead of delusional fantasies that got this country in troube and chaos for 8 years. At least Bush didn't believe what he was preaching, this guy is crazy enough to believe what comes out of his mouth.

Huckabee is getting his message to the voting majority of us who believe that character does count along with immigration, abortion and having a deep faith in Jesus Christ. Keep it up Mike because we are for you and your true christianity.

Your comment proves that there is now a religious test within the Republican Party to become the nominee. I am not sure who to blame for this; but I know that it is wrong. This type of speak will divide the party along religious lines and the conservative coalition will be broken. You are serving Hillary the Presidency on a platter.

RON PAUL'S BOLD SURGE IN IWA (OK MAYBE IT WASN'T QUITE A SURGE BUT ANYWAY...) IS BEING COVERED UP BY NESWEEK AND THE GOVERNMENT. ASTUTE OBSERVERS ARE SAYING PAUL IS REALLY WINNING IN IOWA, NEW HAMPSHIRE AND SOUTH CAROLINA, AND IS MORE THAN 10 POINTS AHEAD IN CALIFORNIA!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE AND RECOGNIZE THAT PAUL IS OUR NEW POLITICAL MESSIAH!!! LOOK AT ALL THE POSTINGS ON HERE BY THE SAME PEOPLE OVER AND OVER AGAIN SAYING EXACTLY THE SAME COOKIE CUTTER THING AND YOU WILL REALIZE THE STRENGTH OF OUR MOVEMENT. IF YOU ARE OLD PEOPLE WHO DEPEND ON SOCIAL SECURITY, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME. HUNGRY CHILDREN WHO RELY ON PROGRAMS TO FEED THEIR GRUNGY LITTLE STARVING MOUTHS ARE ALSO NOT WELCOME. WOMEN WHO BELIEVE THAT THE GOVERNMENT HAS NO PLACE IN DECIDING YOUR REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS, YOU CAN JUST GO AWAY. NOONE CAN STOP US KNOW. ARGHHHHHH!!! (OR HOWEVER IT WAS THAT DEAN SAID ON HIS WAY TO INSURMOUNTABLE VICTORY)

If Huckabee wins the nomination I will un-register as a Republican and stay at home next November. The conservative movement within the Republican Party is at a crossroads. President Bush has been a terrible failure as a conservative. Yes, he appointed constructionist judges to the bench, but that is not the most important thing facing America. He has raised non-military domestic spending by over 40%, he fought along side the liberals in congress to pass a comprehensive amnesty bill for illegal aliens, and has over-expanded the bureaucracy of the executive beyond any tolerable scope.

At this point in our nation and party???s history we cannot afford to elect somebody because they are a ???Christian??? leader. Despite what Huckabee says he exemplifies the idea of ???big government??? conservative. He continually raised taxes as governor to employ these extra tax revenues in wasteful programs which he felt would bring about conservative means. That is not conservatism; it is liberalism masked as such.

I know that I am not alone in my feelings. I don???t necessarily know if any of the Republican candidates currently running can match up to what the conservative movement needs to survive, but I know Huckabee can???t.

If Huckabee wins I will leave the Republican Party. I spent months working full time for the Bush campaign in 2004 because I wanted a strong conservative in the race who would cut spending and clean up Washington. Well, Bush did the exact opposite. Bush raised non-military spending by over 40%. I am tired of spend crazy "social conservatives" winning Republican votes; it has killed the conservative movement.

These polls EXCLUSE the motivated and enthusiastic supporters aged 18-30 who typically DO NOT have a cell phone, and these polls DO NOT include Ron Paul consistently as an option. Astute observers anticipate Ron Paul to finish in third place with as much as 20% of the votes tallied.

  • Posted By: LAGuy @ 12/07/2007 10:43:04 PM

Only the Rob Paul kool aid drinkers can take a story about Huckabee into another "conspiracy" against their candidate. For you Ron Paul folks who thinkall of America is trembling about your candidate, we aren't trembling, just laughing hysterically (which does tend to make us roll around.) IN CASE SOME OF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED THE TWO THOUSAND POSTINGS SO FAR, RON PAUL'S MOVE TO FOURTH PLACE IN IOWA IS THE REAL STORY HERE AND IT'S BEING COVERED UP BY THE GOVERNMENT!!! YIKES!!!!!

    • Posted By: Plimpton777 @ 12/07/2007 10:58:59 PM

The Ron Paul Revolution will not be televised, my friend. Not yet...but soon.
