    'MORMONISM" IS CHRISTIANITY! If you want to know who ISN'T Christian, ask the people that try and supercede God by making erroneous claims as to who IS and ISN'T. (In other words, its not ANYONE'S place to say who IS or ISN'T Christian but the Lord Himself!) Jesus STILL has a BODY (see New Testament - NOWHERE DOES JESUS SAY AFTER HIS RESURRECTION THAT HE DOESN'T!!!) - therefore any Church that teaches he doesn't (ALL except the LDS faith) isn't fully correct on that critical issue.
    ALL because fundamentalist christians have blindly locked themselves into a vote of the Niocene Creed ~ elected upon by MEN hundreds of years AFTER the Savior died and rose again with his BODY! THAT'S why we need communication from God today (i.e. LDS Faith). Hopefully "pastors" can stop scaring people into thinking otherwise (they are PAID to do that ) and recognize the truth instead of misconceptions of man. (What else do they believe/teach that was developed in the 4th century? That the world was flat?)

        I'd NEVER campaign for Huckabee... I don't trust him - too hypocritical for one thing. Him pushing to get convicted murderers and rapists released from prison tells me all I need to know about his decision-making - let alone his absolute lack of knowledge on foreign policy. HUCKABEE WOULD BE A DISASTER AS A PRESIDENT!

    How is evolution a belief system? What definition are you referring to? Evolution is based on observable phenomena and concrete physical artifacts. And just as importantly evolution is testable. Creationism is based on ancient cultural myths, without a shred of evidence.

      Why are you so afraid of creationism? Are we so arrogant as to rule out creationism as perhaps the most pure and advanced science there is?
      Just because evolution can be tested and proves adapation and "survival of the fittest", does not prove this must be how humans developed.
      I am human enough to accept evolution is a possibilty, but logical enough to know we have not reached the limits to what science can and will offer.

    If you will notice "OTHER" is Ron Paul and they know this. When you answer "other" they then remove you or your telephone number so they can narrow the field to just the five candidates "they" have chosen to poll. This is outrageous and has to be seen or heard around the world.

    The ''surge' is a TOTAL media creation. THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES, NO MONEY, and NO SUPPORT!

    What I can't believe is that ANYONE is buying this crap anymore. Can you people not see that WE ARE ALL being manipulated for someone elses benefit?

          how can anyone take ron paul seriously? hes a ranting fool saying things that we may agree with but in general the top fat cats would never let this guy become president, thats why hes labled a fool, we would have a real aweakening in this country if a was elected? so for now we wont take him serious but some day we will have a ron paul as president or we all fall,

            Your perception of the dominance of these "top fat cats" illustrates perfectly the problem we Americans have today. Eradicate the misconception of these guys ruling the country and realize that the true power of democracy lies in the people. Eradicate the notion of conglomerates ruling this country. Resigning yourself, heavensway, is the last thing any of us need to be doing right now.
            Who is to say that this "some day" you refer to is not now? My political science teacher (yes, I'm 19) often mentions studies that say election outcomes would be the same even if a larger portion of registered voters participated. My response is just wait and watch how the next decades show a substantial increase in young, female, and other underrepresented minority voters. Watch how these disgruntled groups extend their hand of might in protest of the Bush-esque crap running around in our government today. As 'Man of the Year' so eloquently put it: "Politicians are like diapers: they need to be changed often and for the same reason." If it takes another Progressive Movement to correct today's government malpractices, then so be it, and I say Ron Paul is as good as most, if not better, to rally behind!

          Sorry, TheAUricle... I truly believe Ron Paul is a great guy with a great record espousing the virtues of our great Constitution.
          But you Paulites rally around these words TRUTH and FREEDOM and 'plan', as if there is some conspiracy, to do WHAT exactly?
          Yes, the government should be removed from most of what we would consider our freedoms. That point can be argued rationaly. Not by outcries of conspiracy and a propaganda machine.
          THAT my friend, is how legitimize Ron Paul's candidacy.

    Huckster is as Pro War as the rest of the Elites in both parties. Many people are beginning to see thru the lies. Paul is the only candidate who can beat a Hillary, Obama, or Edwards in '08. He is the only candidate who will bring the troops home, and protect our Civil Rights. The others have all voted to support these Bush lies.

    It's funny that They left Paul's numbers off this poll. It would show that he has moved ahead of McCain in Iowa. He is the best candidate to beat Hillary or Obama or Edwards. None of them would end the war, and have all voted to take away our Civil Rights. I think more and more people are seeing thru their lies.

    Huckabee is simply the flavor of the week - scaring off other candidates by claiming he is the "christian"~ good grief, give me a break. This "christian" begged a parole board to free a convicted rapist that went on to rape and murder again all due to Huckabee's "taking care of friends in politics"... That speaks to his "integrity" - and don't get me started on his TOTAL LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF FOREIGN POLICY! The guy couldn't find Iraq with a GPS system!

    For me, religion does play a role in deciding a president. A man's (or woman's) faith and beliefs play a serious role in their decisions which ultimately affects us all. I support a Christian president.

    I am concerned that Huckabee is not keeping in mind the relationship between Church and State. I think we need to hear a speech from him regarding whether any church authority might influence him if he were elected president. I am a Christian who thinks too mich is being made of Huckabee beign a Baptist Minister. I want to hear what really qualifies him to b President of The United States of America. Too much is being made of the religious thing. Lest vote for the man who is best qualified for the job of President, not as a holy man.

    I admit to being a bit worried about my girl hillary's chances when the big dogs of the rep party were chosen...it never occurred to me romney would be picked on cause of his religion, i always thought it would be cause he actually worked with the dems to bring about a great economy in mass, using common business sense as opposed to political sense (i.e. huge cash donations for bills passed/vetoed etc.). and rudy was great, until he started fudging his numbers...and mccain, well i still have some hope for you. with huckleberry becoming the front-runner for the reps my dream of voting for a good woman for president has a good chance of coming true. btw, romney isn't too good to be true, i have 5 uncles here in Idaho that could give him a run for the money in just plain wholesomeness. too bad i'm dem :D

    Your republic freinds in Maryland might consider Mr. Huckabee as a viable candidate. Anything is better than Hilary Bottom Clinton. If her Thighness gets in, we are all in trouble, especially if Bill can't be at her side all the time guiding her decisions.

    The Heartland of America is not the Left Coast, the Eastern Elites, the Hollywood Know it Alls, or the Vast Media Conspiracy. No, it is the middle of America that has values and crave s for leadership which we've not seen in 20 years. It believes in the right to believe as you wish, but knowing that this country only became great by having faith in God through Jesus Christ. Don't let these special interest groups direct our country any longer as they have these past 20 years of lies and apology and defeatism to the rest of the world. It is time that we in Middle America take control back and place a man of integrity and real faith into leadership. We in Middle America range from those that don't go to church or practice faith/reliogion but believe in God and his values all the way to those Fundamentalist Right Wingers that live their faith everyday. We are all on the same side and want the same thing. No one will lose his rights. But we all stand to win our country back. NO LOOKING BACK,,,,,VOTE HUCKABEE and look to this country's future greatness!

    Thanks for the article, good job. Make no mistake about it, MIke Huckabee is not only popular with values voters, but my Democrat friends in Orange County and Los Angeles seem to really like him as well, enough to cross over and vote Republican this election. I think it's just that people are sick of our same old candidates and Mike Huckabee has fresh ideas. What drew me to Mike Huckabee is his stand on health and wellness care--prevention, instead of focusing on chronic sickness (which truly drives up healthcare costs). That is an issue that resonates especially with Orange County where we have a health club on every corner !

      Mike Huckabee is a likable guy, but I must say, as has been repeated, shame on Newsweek for not mentioning Ron Paul, who is rising in the polls. If Ron Paul takes first through third place in Iowa, it's going to propel him into greater things. I think that Huckabee will do well in a few states, but in most he'll be a fifth or sixth place finisher. Ron Paul 2008.

        Hmm.....Ron Paul supporters equals LIBERTARIANS, a misnomer as these people believe in no taxes and allowing business to do anything in the name of profit. Consider Paul, inconsequential and tangential, as Libertarians are a throwback to Reconstruction era politics and are supported by Christian Theocratists like Alex Jones and his minions.

        Moving on to the hypocritical Huckabee, who has been revealed as the shameless ELMER GANTRY evangelic panderer over the rapist matter from his stewardship as Governor, we have yet another threat to Democracy in the guise of a thinly veiled Evangelical. Anyone who would disavow SCIENCE, evolution and tie politics to one religion, has no business running for, or being elected, to America's highest office. I am so sick of the disaster and destruction foisted on the American populace by the Dobsons and Falwells of this fanatical Fundamentalist culture. They should go back to wearing buckle shoes, renaming thmeslves Pilgrims, and recognize that 400 years later they are little better than their Fundamentalist ancestry that burned women as witches in 1692 Salem, such is their zealotry and fear of knowledge.

        Huckabee is toast when this goes national and away from fly-over country.

          So what about Huckabee's connection to the paroling of that convicted rapist? Doesn't that bother anyone?
          There is substantial proof that he had a hand in releasing a rapist even though other people came out of the woodwork to warn Huckabee against doing such a thing. If it's true I'm afraid that old Mike is as disconnected from reality as GW.
